I bought a violin, bow, rosin etc. the other day - then an hour or two later a video popped up in my feed from SCMP about this girl in China who practiced violin bow technique with pencils and juice cartons because she couldn't afford a violin. Made me think how lucky we are just to go and buy what we need as musicians, when there are so many dreamers out there who just can't afford it. Hopefully this charity of yours will make a difference, hey!
Heey!! Love your comment! Enjoy the violin! I started last year March with violin playing took a bit of a break but back again🎻❤
If you would like to talk more about it you can add me on Discord: LemonEyes#5599 or send a message on Instagram: DrawUnlimited since I am active there too if you do not have Discord 😊
My private piano and music theory teacher told me that she didn't have a piano at home when she was in school, so her dad took measurements and sort-of "drew" a piano on a table for her to practise
Fh CD ztwenmenswjieksjsbwbehejdjdkdk svwvehsuzihdvrhriroduecwvvwhwuwgwgecvw the first time ever before the first game and then the game is so fun to watch the video games on ur phone to watch it on ur phone to play ur phone to get ur phone to play ur internet ur friends are bored so bored and play it all day so it will play it on the screen when you play it all ur friends
Absolutely love how you've created a platform to help others that are seeking financial aid to pursue their passions. Your desire to spread classical music is very inspiring! Thanks for a great vlog as always!
Thank you - I try...and it'll only work if my fundraisers succeed 🙏❤️
Watching the videos of you practicing with all the same excitements and frustrations we all experience is just real and assuring. Strangely, it brings me confidence in my practice seeing we're not alone trying to reach a certain level of perfection. Keep being you.
🤗🤓
Thank you for always empowering us with your practice sessions Tiffany, God bless you!
🐿 squirrel for the algorithm !! been brahms’ birthday recently so it’s fun to see you pick it up again :] hopefully salzburg doesn’t get postponed again!
I love these videos because it shows the struggles behind a great pianist...It shows that being great is not just bout talent but also about hard work and practice and that is really encouraging :)
Totally true, it’s all about the hard everyday work!
Of course - but all work without talent (and a good hand anatomy) is nothing.
"God's Mysterious Ways His Wonders To Perform"... We love you, Sweetie! You are one of His incredible gifts!! May God bless you and your family today and always!!
6:11 - me every time I use a metronome lol
And then I start rushing to catch up lol
Hahahaha I know the story too 🤣
Yes, I have difficulty in keeping the proper timing too ! I'm always falling behind. Also, I do not like chess clocks either because I'm always in time trouble, especially during the endgame phase ! All the best, Ken
The commentary elevates the video. The squirrels were good, too.
Hahaha famous squirrels 😂
yes, Brahms concerto. wow. have fun! and enjoy
i love brahms
That passage with the cross rhythms and jumps in both hands - I could practice for another fifty years and not be able to do that.
Classical music is not a cure for tinnitus it has helped me deal with it.
Something healthy 👍 keep playing 👍❤️💯🐲👋
Doing so much to uplift others, at such a young age. #inspiring
Brahms Piano Concerto No.1 in d minor, Op.15, is my top favourite piano concerto amongst many other magnificent works by great composers.
When I work with metronome, usually I just mark the notes, without using any expressions. This way I can see where I delay or I'm too fast. I hope this suggestion will help you. I have been playing in many chamber ensembles, with which I used to play one rehearsal just before a concert. And also when I played with an orchestra. I usually have only one or max to rehearsals...
What a nice concert! Thank you for the opportunity to watch extended video on Patreon. I think your predictions about the interest for this blog were completely wrong.
What I would give to play these Brahms concertos. Heroic, profound. Appreciate working to make sure every rubato is called for.
My dog chases around squirrels all the time from the bird feeder. I love watching them run around, but I doubt the squirrels love it 😂.
Your Brahms is beautiful, like your Schumann, sounds from the heart…
You will be fine 💐
Wonderful to see a true artist at work. Balancing the metronome with emotional expression, always striving for perfection. Inspirational.
One of my favourite concertos. I already hear you bringing something very special to the music. Sorry I can't come to Salzburg to hear the performance! 😕 Hope we get the chance to hear you playing the full concerto.
Helpful to see your comment that you reached the point where no more improvement was possible for the day. I'm a beginner and I recognize this happening to me as well. It's hard to put the music away when there is more improving needed. Thanks for sharing your time and talent!
Always good to know your limits! :)
My favourite pianist of all time,I will always support you Tiffany 😉
Saw the squirrels on your instagram! 😂 I didn't know you actually filmed there. And I'm really loving ur vlogs, they're so calming and fun to watch.
And srsly tho I really appreciate how you want to spread classical music to others ❤️☺️.
Beautiful squirrels, beautiful playing, beautiful you!! ;) I'm so glad that so many people liked your previous blog about favorite music from your childhood, btw! :)
You're an inspiration Tiffany!!❤
Just supporting the algorithm
Very interesting vlog, by the way.
I'm a first year college student studying piano at a music academy, and honestly this video made me feel like I'm on the right track. Thank you
Is nobody going to acknowledge how amazing she looks in that shirt? Tiffany, please, I'm not looking to fall in love with anymore than your piano playing atm!!
Hey! If you would ever consider coming to Quebec, Canada, I am sure that the classical music community here would be absolutely delighted! :)
Congratulations on the upcoming concert! I do hope we can see it on video somehow... no matter what timezone we are in 🤣 That's such a beautiful concerto, and a good match for your poetic gifts, I'd say. Can't wait!
Wow this Brahms is a beautiful piece.
Wish my problems were posture and flow! You're so graceful when playing. I learn piano tough I'm not a classical musician. Right now I'm learning The Show Must Go On by Queen and it's really hard to play it more quickly.
Also, I really hated the metronome when I first started (specially the beat) and now I actually use it and it really helps.
I met you on one of your vlogs where you play Brahms piano trio n1 and I fell in love with you and with Brahms, I'm really glad this vlog came out:D
Would love even more to watch and hear the Brahms 2nd Concerto. Thank you for posting.
Oh god i hope the concert can take place. Just hearing you practice it here makes me all the more excited 🥺
Some years ago i heard helene grimaud's live performance of this concerto, which was epic to say the least and I'm curious to find out what you'll do with it 🥰
thanks I needed this! This gave me an idea on how should I practice with the metronome
I sometimes struggle when playing with the metronome as well especially at pieces with different tempos :/
I remember your brahms piano concerto video from a year ago and got confused when i saw this only one month ago
So exciting that you are going to Germany!! 🤯🥳 have fun there :)
Germany got cancelled/postponed TBC 😭
@@violetta.1996. And remember, no kangaroos in Austria.
Do you have any idea how much of a privilege it is to hear you play like this!
Tiffany is really shy ☺️
My brain keeps filling in the orchestral parts when you practice this.
I love it.
To this day it is a total headscratcher that this concerto was a resounding failure at its world premiere.
If you listen to the Hardy Rittner recording you'll have an idea how it must have sounded.
How could this fall on deaf ears? It is definately one of the best concertos ever written.
Hi ^ ^
I really like these from the start, today, I'm not going to skip the ads
❤️🙏
Like the video at the end to help her get more views. Just a tip ✌
You are amazing! Great skills and the perfect empathy and of course so many years of success to come🌞 soon you are back on stage, stronger and more understanding! Have a great weekend 🍀
Thanks for your openness. God bless your efforts and resilience
hi tiffany, a really good video as asual, love your videos, every time one comes out i really want to see it asap...
I think many of us can relate to this scenario: A couple things: 1) oh wait !🐿️! where was I? oh yeah - wait another !🐿️! 🥰
You're great Tifanny
I love this Concerto!
Tiffany should compose a Squirrel Concerto :)
Real hard work! You will make it ❤️👌🏼 lovely how you understand when it is bette to stop ☺️ wish you the best 😘😘😘
Glad you're including the squirrels
Morning! Congrats and wish you a great concert performance^^
I like using a metronome if I want to get a piece to be faster. Using a metronome is hard with Romantic pieces because of all the rubato😬.
Great video Tiffany!!
Thank You Tiffany your so good.
Just finished playing and this Tiffany video popped up! :)
Good luck with your next concert Tiffany!
such a beautiful piece!
Good luck to you.
My favourite piece of all time! 😍 And you‘re playing it so good :)
Yay, so happy to see a new video! Was even checking out earlier videos of you studying the Brahms concerto today haha, also, you're really lucky to have so many squirrels around, if I'm lucky I see one every once in a while when going for a run...
Sincerly hope you get to perform this with an orchestra, can't really explain how much I love the Brahms concertos!
please greet the squirrels from me, I totally love them since I was a little boy! :)
thanks for your fundraising activities, and of course the beautiful music!
These practice vlogs are extremely calming and beautiful. I love them so much!
One of my favorites. Sounds like someone who has lived a full life yet he was only 25 when he wrote this
I love this concerto!
I love listening to this concerto. It has such gravitas, and the last movement is my favourite , such good energy.
You are an amazing talent, keep it up girl!
Very beautiful practicing rounds :D
I feel your frustration and hard work. Same here with Chopin!
Thank you so much for this. Knowing how much work and effort went into a performance is very reassuring on the one hand for one's own dabbling at the piano and makes one appreciate concerts even more.
Brahms No.1 is such a beautiful piece! Thank you for sharing this preparation video.
I love your videos and I love watching 👀 your channel 😍 it's so inspiring 💖!!!!
You are absolutely amazing in your practice and performance. I never knew so much went in to trying to get that perfect sound (you have in mine). I don’t really have the ear to hear it quite as well, but you always give me a better perspective on how to practice smarter and not harder. Thank you!
Sounds amazing. I'll try and get back to playing classical piano again
Oh, thank God, I found you. This viedo with practicing with metronome is sooo useful to me, as an amateur😉
I'll thank you for every little piece that I could bring and include to my practice session🙏
Love this concerto
You are absolutly amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
One of my favorite pieces. 😊
Inspired to look up some Brahms piano music after watching this practice.
I can sit and listen All Day Long.
commenting for visibility
I just subscribed to your channel. Mainly because you're a great pianist,a and secondly because I share your love for Schumann's music.
The 2 passages are hard to learn and take time. Years ago, I had a 4 hour lesson to get this right! Also polyrhythm section is rarely played in time in many performances. Be patient and it will be ok..
Thanks, your practice motivates me to practice. 🤣
Hey Tiffany
I've been thinking about how I found your channel. I checked in your archive - it was a little more than 2 years ago! And I remember sitting on my grandparent's balcony in the sun browsing through CZcams and finding your Vlog. My grandfather died a couple of weeks ago and my grandmother doesn't live in the house any more. But there is still this specific memory I hold dearly. It's one of the moments you come back to years later and realize that they were actually precious even though in the moment itself you were just sitting on a balcony with your grandpa.
Thank you for creating memories :)
Also I hope this doesn't read too cringe, just wanted to get this off my chest probably.
Didn't cringe at all! Thank you for sharing :)
I admire you 🖤🤍 You're my favorite pianist!
Squirrels are funny...That's what I do almost every day: I sit on the roots of a very big tree for around 20 minutes and relax (meditate) It recharges my batteries. I love that tree. A metronome can help you to achieve Benedetti Michelangeli's level of technical perfection. It can be a little boring (you can easily fall asleep on the piano) and It doesn't seem to help musically too much (mostly at slow tempo). However (paradoxically?) a high level of technical perfection can, in my opinion, stimulate your creative and musical side of the brain (soul). It's always pleasant (stimulating) to listen to Michelangeli's immaculate interpretations...Practice it mechanically first, with the metronome. Once it is perfect and you can play it even faster than you'll play it the day of the concert, you can focus fully on the interpretative approach (musical aspect). It's easier with classical and baroque pieces... Yeah, recording yourself and listening to it helps a lot to understand what you want to do with the piece but it's better to do it once the piece has been studied to perfection... Fundraising / helping others, good deed 👍 ... 🎹
This reminds me to practice with metronome, thank you.
love you Tiffany
My first teacher told me to never work with a metronome, but I feel now that I probably would have far better rhythm now if I had depended on it a bit.
Oh man the fear of seeing my playing posture in the mirror... No thanks :p. Beautiful playing!
the music is so pretty
Yay new video! Good luck and have fun preparing for the Salzburg concert! And I hope everyone reading this is doing well! (Day 21)
I think every pianist throws the hair immediately wherever. I know I do.
If you steal it, you gotta give it back. 😂 (the time)
Tiffany, also use the interesting melodic intervals and harmonic change to help you to shape the music.
Yes Brahmssssas
I love squirrels! :)
I recommend using tomplay! You can play with the orchestra track in the back 😎😎
I love Brahms!!! It would have been cool if he would have written for Flute! Brava Tiffany!!!🥰❤️👏👏👏👏👏
Now I want a jean jacket! :D
