- CCH Builds another One-Off Custom.
When the Client asks for exquisite style with modern day reliability...
The 1953 Bentley R Type is the second series of post-war Bentley automobiles. Originally making only 130 horsepower, Classic Cars of Houston incorporated a 500hp LS3 Chevy crate engine and 4L65E Transmission. A complete frame off restoration including a one-off Art Morrison front clip and custom CCH ford nine inch rear end was built up on a Jig in house. Our fabrication shop had the task of reconstructing the fenders whilst our upholstery department was tasked with a complete interior restoration including leather seats, wool carpet, headliner, panels and wooden dash and window frames. After a bare metal re-paint it all came beautifully together with copious amounts of freshly chromed bright-work.

This is an amazing build! Well done
Love the car but HATE the steering wheel.
Exactly what I thought, it spoilt an otherwise stunning car.
If you hate the steering wheel then someone can feel the same way about you
