This is what we call a "sympathetic " build because this '66 Mustang was our customer's late father's car that he purchased new. It needed a lot of help to get it back on the road, but he didn't want to lose the essence of his father. So, rather than changing the stance, wheels, color which is often done we took an aesthetic preservation approach. The body was taken down to the bare metal and r...

  • @jalapenonewsnetwork8537

Very beautiful car! Thee biggest regret in my life till this point was selling my 1975 chevy caprice convertible it was factory white on white on white car with the 454 engine. i had picked it up for like $2400 in incredible condition running, driving everything worked all the lights the ac the clock everything! I had seen it before way back in the day for sale on Craigslist for $9000 but I didn't have the money so again about 5 years later it pops up again on Craigslist for 9k again and I had the money and was willing to pay full asking price but I hit the original owners with a very low offer and they took it to my surprise! So lil by lil I stared working on it till one day my landlord tells me his wife wanted to sell the house and that if we where interested in buying the house he would give us the first chance to buy it so with both of our saving we had a little over 22k saved for down payment and closing costs and thing like that but when we where at the bank trying to get financing it came up that my girlfriend had a credit card that she owed 11k on and in order to get approved for the home loan we needed to clear that debt so I decided that I would put my 75 and my harley davidson roadking up for sale and Whichever one sold first i would keep the other and pay the cc. so I postef both the car and the bike on line for sale and right a way I had 2 people call on the bike but it just so happened that the bike was in the shop getting new rims and tires and the shop owner didn't want me bring people to his shop to see the bike which I understood because it was his house shop he built in his backyard so on the second day of having my vehicles posted i had 23 different people call me about car. I had it posted for 10k people from all over the country where hitting me up for it but one guy that was local called and I kinda of blue him off some reason I don't know why I just did. so i make a deal with one guy out in California he was offering me 11k for the car 1k over asking price cuz he wanted it so bad and like I said it was the 2nd day of having it posted. The 3rd day rolls around and the local guy calls again and I tell him I have pretty much have the car sold for 13k and he says I have 15k cash right now and you don't have to worry about dealing with bank transfers and shipping and all that so I tell the guy if he come right now and brings 15k its his so him and the whole family show up and look it over I get it started for him and he drops the 15k on the hood and says sold! So I'm super happy at that point because now I can pay back my girlfriends credit card and get the house! So communication between us and the bank keeps getting harder and harder to talk to someone so I start calling around to other home lenders and talk to a lady my boss had recommended to us and she was on it in no time I tell her about my girlfriends credit card debt and ask if it was a must we pay that and she says NO! That with our credit and the amount of money we had saved we should be able to buy the house without any issues. So everything gos through for house so now I have this 15k sitting there so I called the guy back and ask if he want to sell me the car back I offered his 15k back then 16k then 17k and even 18k for the car back but he didn't want to brake he already had it In the shop getting everything redone within 5 months of him owning it he did a full restoration on the car seeing it out and about really brakes my heart he did it the way I would have done it back all original and back to it glory days. I wish I never sold that car but I'm happy to see someone did do her right but definitely a regret im gonna live with for the rest of my life or until I get another one but prices right now are extremely high on them and looks to just keep going up so we will see

Right, they definitely need the body molding in my opinion but to find some is a tuff task and if you do they are used and they want like 1300 for the set if you where to some across a set of new ones be prepared to give an arm a leg and a left nutt for the set! Lol

Cars that make you go WOW. The Lincoln Mark V used to be among my least favorite classic cars. There is so much about it that just seemed wrong or odd. It is so odd that it intrigued me. There was one parked in someone's driveway on my way to work so I pondered this car (Hard top version) and so I thought about it regularly. One day when the people were outside I stopped and asked to have a closer look and they were very happy that someone else was interested in it. I now love this car. The interior seems like today's automakers could take some design cues from.

Nostalgia always trumps personal taste. An old song once hated, but not heard in years, gets a volume boost and a smile when it finds its way onto a playlist. Same with the art known as 50's and 60's American automotive design.
