Still the best-dressed man in rock music. Saw him decades ago with The Birthday Party, and thirty-six years later Nick can still deliver the goods. He is built to last.
Not denigrating other listeners/watchers but I have loved Nick Cave's performances and recordings since the 1980's, he has always been a great lyricist, and he can sing. When I heard his music being used in Peaky Blinders I was chuffed, finally popular recognition.
I've recently discovered Nick in a big way. I've known about him for a long time and remember him for that dark video he made with Kylie Minogue about the Wild Rose.... But a live version of him playing Jubilee Street from Austin City Limits popped into my playlist and I watched it. Floored. Completely. The man is fully committed to his art and it is beautiful. What a talent. The above is fantastic and saw a version of it on Later with Jools. Very cinematic, and there is a lot of space in that music.
Was lucky enough to attendend both this and the All Points East performance in London a couple of days before. Why go twice in a couple of days? Watch and it's obvious....the guy is mesmerising. Great footage of an amazing show.
Nick was born in a small town in western Victoria (Australia) called Warracknabeal. They are planning to erect a great statue of Nick riding a rearing stallion. Strange indeed.
Take a little walk to the edge of town Go across the tracks Where the viaduct looms Like a bird of doom As it shifts and cracks Where secrets lie in the border fires In the humming wires Hey man, you know You're never coming back Past the square, past the bridge Past the mills, past the stacks On a gathering storm comes A tall handsome man In a dusty black coat with A red right hand [Verse 2] He'll wrap you in his arms Tell you that you've been a good boy He'll rekindle all the dreams It took you a lifetime to destroy He'll reach deep into the hole Heal your shrinking soul But there won't be a single thing that you can do He's a god, he's a man He's a ghost, he's a guru They're whispering his name Through this disappearing land But hidden in his coat Is a red right hand
Imagine performing this in Birmingham

A genius poet songwriter singer and one of the greatest live performers of all time..
You can tell Nick Cave really does care for his fans, unlike many musicians, and actually interacts with them. Rare in music.
One of the best songs ever written by one of the best lyricists and songwriters of all time being the coolest dude of all time with his fans

The best! Truly. He's been my favourite musician for the past 30 years!!!
If Snape was a musical artist
😂😂😂😂
Yeah, I'm not the only one who pictured Snape as Nick Cave
If Snape was a wizard - Nick Cave
See Fazıl Say if you are looking musical artist snape

Nick is on the edge of my fairly traditional rock music tastes, but I always enjoy listening to him when I turn on to him.

So,why a rearing stallion ? is it a reference to something that happened once or just an odd idea ?

Martyn P. Casey is my favorite bass player of all time.
You and me both. The man is a groove monster :)
Do you like his previous band The Triffids? They were fantastic. Their frontman might have been as big as Cave if he hadn’t died too young
The greatest living artist next to Dylan.
Love it
Fantastic
Вчера в Москве был на его концерте. Очень понравилось!

God I hope he plays the Sandstone Arena in Kansas City. He'd kill it there. Very intimate yet still open. I'd pay for front row tickets like that.
