Forget the remake, this is the closest RE3 experience you'll get in HD.
Remake is as bad as RE2 remake, both are bad, rarely know people that actually play them, mostly streamers or newbs.. but like you said this original hd RE2 had are the best of best

After watching this video, I understand why someone said they didn't like remake. Too many stories have been deleted! I respect the guys created this HD version.
Somehow, this is how I remembered the game looked, back when I saw it for the first time. This is the best form of nostalgia.
okay to be fair playing on ps1 with RGB Cable on a small CRT looks great back then and even today :) these games were made for playing on a CRT back then. Thats why we remember the game looks so good back in the days :)

The sound, music and details in this game makes feel this is 1000 times better than remake

Too bad Capcom couldn’t just release this version to the modern consoles. Seriously, this is the most cleanest HD I’ve seen of this game. I would happily pay $30 for this.

RE2 and RE3 were true masterpieces. The sound atmosphere, the sheer horror that some scenes cause even today. The puzzles and intricate story. Brilliant. I still like the first person remakes - they're simply different games that borrow story snd setting. Like, I don't know. A modern remake of a classic film. You can like both even though they are nothing alike.

@@flamehiroAll PS3 models were backwards compatible with PS1 so they were able to do the PSOne selection on the PS Store.
PS4 and PS5 do not have this feature.
Strange RE dont have a classic collection (megaman, DMC, SF all have classic hd collection)

No they didn't but it's still possible to remaster it for the PS5, MGS1 got remastered for the PS5 as part of that recent collection that released so we know that's possible.

I always thought it would made more sense if they only turned into zombies if they died. Least it would make more sense why the main characters never turn xD
"One of the few positives of the T-Virus is that it can't infect everyone. Around 10% of the population are naturally immune to the virus. The cruel geniuses at Umbrella, however, found a workaround by creating Hunters to kill any survivors."
According to original lore the T-virus had around a 10% resistant/immunity rate, which is partially why Umbrella was developing the G and Veronica viruses at the same time hoping they would be stronger and less resisted. Eventually the C virus was developed by neo-umbrella which accomplished what the original 3 couldn't. However the remakes seem to have glossed over those details, Jill is still immune but it isn't as clearly established why. Same with all the main characters, except those from the Outbreak series who are regular citizens and can succumb during gameplay.
Nemesis does infect Jill with a concentrated dose in this game which is enough to overcome her resistance, but with the help of the 'vaccine' she recovers and develops an even stronger resistance/immunity. Later when she is captured by Wesker prior to re5 he uses this stronger immune system to enhance the Ouroboros project to reduce odds of an immune response.
But with the remakes time will tell what lore is kept and what changes.
Wish the horror games in these days be like these original resident evils 😍❤

The whole classic trilogy
I remember my brother was among the very first people to own a PS back in 90s. His friends would come to play. I remember him playing Die Another Day and this. He would sit there in the bedroom playing it, I was like 7, I would sit on the other bed with my other brother watching. I remember every detail. We were allowed to watch until one day the dogs attacked in one level, and my brother and I screamed, so my older brother would no longer allow us to watch
Wow that is crazy for me as kid it was more body horror that got me watching my brother play RE1 the tyrant final boss and RE2 is where I really started saying NOPE with the darker tone and the DEATH SCENEs I remember running out the room screaming when seeing what happened to Ben lol 😂 1990 horror you got to love it.
RE3 however boy in 1999 my brother had it and I remember popping it in on ps1 DEMO mind you and when nemesis came with his first encounter I ran out the gate saying ok Iam fine iam fine I HEAR 👂 THE F GATE OPEN ANd CLOSED and there he is 😨🤯 I WAS SCREAMING HE CAN CHASE YOU THROUGH AREAs TO 😱I was like nope I turned the game RIGHT OFF LMAO 🤣
i wish RE games after 2,3 just stuck in raccoon city, RE2 released in 1998 i was only 11 years old and now 36 i always keep coming back to these 1,2,3 RE games. there's something about raccoon city like streets, buildings, alleys or just everything about it is just special i've never seen it on any other game, probably silent hill but that game is a different story.

This looks incredibly better than the original game. Very well done. Tbh a lot of the time, when you see these HD or upscaling projects, the differences don’t really “pop” as much as you’d think, but it’s dramatic in this case

When I first played this game Nemesis was hard to put down, one punch from him could put u in danger knock u down where it’s hard to get up . For him to be so big he sure could run over all it’s a good game I still have this game till this day and my play station , and 3&4 24 years ago 1999 Resident Evil Nemesis came out wow .
Maybe in 20 years they will make a perfect Re3 remake. I wanted it so bad to be like this game but was disappointed the way it turned out. Original story is still my favourite.

I remember playing RE3 on the Gamecube and to me it looked so extremely HD just like this version, at least compared to the PS1 original.

1999 when i first play this on ps, i was 29 years old. In the days i loved 3 more then 2 the year before. In the moment i play it on gamecube and the fire still burns after the first round.iam 53 years old now and a little bit slower 😆 To be honest (unpopular opinion i know )i kind of liked the remake with all his mistakes. It's a runner like the original. BUT THIS HERE IS JUST FUCKING BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU. 😊
I played it on my PS1 year 2000. I was only 11 years old at that time and I was able to finished the entire game.

was a freshman when this came out, good times.. music in this made it more scarier than it was. Add the nemesis randomly showing up and what a scary game this was when it came out.

What they did to the opening cinematic is nothing short of incredible, but man, those upscaled in-game backgrounds are a double-edged sword. I mean, they're crisp and beautiful from a geometric perspective, but the background signs and miscellaneous text stand out way, way more than the developers intended. The nonsensical word salad starts to give the game a "generated by an insane AI" kind of vibe.
Hopefully AI upscaling will improve over time

To this day I don't know what the solution is to that puzzle I just button mash until I get all three correct.

There is a specific pattern to that puzzle, but yeah I noticed that too 😅 takes me forever to do the water puzzle towards the end.

Man it's crazy how it takes 20+ years and CZcams subtitles to figure out just how much "foreign" and "music" is in this game. Truly mind-blowing that we all collectively missed this on our first playthroughs nearly two decades ago.
