- Around 13:00 a large bush fire broke out in Heddon Greta outside of Kurri Kurri NSW. The first arriving appliance reported a large and fast spreading fire due to the winds and requested numerous other appliances.
I managed to get on scene after 20 minutes of the Incident occurring. Here is my footage.

Lighting ob:-
NSW Fire & Rescue tenders specify a rear fog lamp. Have done since circa 1988 on the basis of occupational health & safety. The function, if on, offers up to 20 times the luminous intensity over standard taillights.
RFS tenders should utilize same, for thick smoke/fog like conditions, strobes on high are cute n all, but an RF, lower than roof, will outperform them.
The ADR is stupidly optional for all ADR categories.
Use in seriously reduced visibility conditions only, OFF the moment things clear up.

*Phenomenal footage!* 🚒👍👍

Must be one of the biggest winter bushfire turnouts ever!
Yeh the wind was ferocious. There were multiple houses under threat and the fire was fully moving very fast. The longer I stood there the more trucks would come!
Ooh! I watch both of your videos. Kiwicanuck and EmergencyNSW!!
Love the content, and is just influenced me to start posting emergency vehicles from South Australia, along with my YT channel.
LOVE your content @thekiwicanuck and @EmergencyNSW
Wow. That's a large response. Excellent catches.
thanks
Noice Catches
bit windy aye
Prepare everyone this is just the start of whats already starting to be and voikg to be a bad bushfire season for all
Nope
Hectic video, jealous
Would you think for the Bushfire season it'd be like this?
I mean usually in winter the fires don't get too big. But on this day fire conditions were pretty perfect for one to rip, it was very windy as you could tell, and quite dry out too.
plus almost certain this was deliberately lit, theres been a heap of suspicious fires in this area over the past months. So that would explain why it was big
@@EmergencyNSW Well windy conditions and perfect fire conditions mix well.. has it been extinguished?
Buhsfire season the responce would most likely be twice thrice the size of this with aircraft being scrambled first, well thats how it goes here in south australia anyway
@@shannonstaschik2086 yeh pretty sure they had a heli come to this one, I had to head off though didn’t stay for it
Bit early in the year for a bushfire.
yeh, conditions suited fires quite well tho
how large is large
ill go take a measuring wheel out and walk around for ya
@@EmergencyNSW THANK YOU

Pls listen guys! You understand how fires fuel them selves? You know how magnesium, or aluminium feeds it's self? Our lans have been dusted with aluminium, barium, strontium! This shit burns!!! It goes of especially in dust form! Be safe guys! Be ready!
