  • How to Use a Paint Sprayer | Airless Paint Sprayers | Titan 440
    There are several ways to paint. You can use brushes, rollers, or you could spray. Airless paint sprayers are a great way to increase your efficiency on the job, and in some cases, can also provide an extremely fine-finish with the use of certain machines and spray tips. The Titan 440 is a standard skid-mount airless sprayer and is quite a versatile piece of equipment. Dazzling Dave shows you how to use one in this video!

    Another vid Idea would be the spray tips and thickness of the paints to use through it and how to thin it out for it to work.

    Awesome video guys, Could you also do one on this sprayer and all the trouble shooting that could happen like paint chips glogging the ball bearing and how that causes pressure issues, I think that would be a great vid

    Will the Titan work with high solids content oil based paint? If so does it need pre-strained or thinned first?

    Nice video! Very detailed! Some questions, how long can you paint for after you have primed, attained the correct pressure and started painting?

    • @thepaintpeople
      @thepaintpeople  Před 4 lety +2

      It all depends on the type of paint you are using. 2-4 hours between coats is usually sufficient: read the label on the can to confirm. 👍

      @@thepaintpeople... Do you need to water down the paint at all before spraying, as some paints are a little thicker than others.

    Question: I’m repainting doors and trim in my house and sprayed my smooth finish wood doors with a graco project plus airless sprayer using a 311 tip. Instead of sanding, I used Krud Cutter gloss off. Anyhoo, the problem I’m having is after I sprayed them it left little craters all over the door. I adjusted psi and everything but still a problem. I have done both a continuous spray and start and stop and still the same issue. What am I doing wrong? I then sanded the craters out and tried again and same issue. Also part of texture is smooth and then I’ve also got an orange peel like texture. FYI: I don’t think it’s fish eye cause it doesn’t look like an air bubble.

      @thepaintpeople  Před 2 lety

      Hi Jackie, if the doors were not properly prepped (removal of any krud) that would contribute to craters. If the tip is too fine/pressure too high, and the ambient air/humidity is too dry that could also contribute to craters. What product were you using?

    When you are painting (@8:30), are there lighter shades left between the rows on your way down?

    • @thepaintpeople
      @thepaintpeople  Před 4 lety +1

      It appears that way, mainly due to the paint still being wet. Once it dried out, it levelled out nicely. :)

    What happens if there is more then 1 colour ? Let’s say you have sprayed finish majority of the house white, do you have to reclean the whole machine restarting from the whole priming process again and pump in the different colour? And the same process repeat for the rest. Let’s say you only have a day or two to finish the job.

      I just drop the intake hose into the new paint color when I have about half of the last wall left for the old paint. that way it runs into the new color right when I am done painting. then just spray the next wall the second color. If it is the final coat you may want to spray a couple lines on the cardboard to ensure the new paint is all the way through the system.

  • @amank8007
    @amank8007 Před 4 lety

    What if you have to change the hose to a new bucket if you run out of paint? Can you still keep on painting?

    • @thepaintpeople
      @thepaintpeople  Před 4 lety +5

      You should never remove the hose from the paint bucket, this will create an air lock. Just add more paint to your bucket of you are running low.
