THIS IS THE COMMENT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR The button is that little rectangular shaped indentation in the back right side of the mochi P.s its very subtle but the light hits it after he taps it and picks it back up
You can see the circular outline of the button on the backside, towards the base of the leaf on the right side. Its shadow is briefly visible when showing the back (just as he hints "So how do you open this one?" right before mentioning the hidden button) during the final showcase rotation before demonstrating it opening. But yeah, the actual pressing of the button does occur just offscreen.
@@evanstevens5209 i don't think it's shadow it look more like indentation because button is covered with paper leaf so when box is new it may be not visible but as soon you start pressing button indentations start to show up.
It’s actually quite easy to see when he turns it around. The light catches on a small patch in the right side corner where you can push, it’s not flush with the rest of the leave. I knew what he had to do before he said it seeing that difference there

@@mistakenmass7298 The rest of the leaf has a solid backing. The springiness of the button is what allows for the deformation of the leaf. Since there are no other buttons there is no way to make the same kind of impressions anywhere else.

The solution is a button on the right side bottom of the leave. There’s a button behind it which you can see when he turns it around and the light moves over it. See how you see a ‘dent’ in the leave? That’s where the button is hidden behind
I could see the button. He deliberately doesn't show the back until just before revealing it but as soon as he does you can see the leaf has a square indentation on it.
"Sakura" is pronounced more like "SAH-ku-RAH," with the emphasis on the first and last syllables, and the second syllable almost disappearing. It took me a while to figure out what you were saying at the beginning; it sounded like "secure emoji." ;-)
If it is ALL made of wood then I would think that the hidden button would be exposed after it has been opened a few times (and the thin wood of the leaf flakes off).

What we think is that you shouldn't of moved where the button was off screen. Which is like 80% of why we watch these types of videos.

theres a slight depression spot on the back of the leaf sticker. I think its hidden there. The glare of the light slightly gives it away.

Yes, the button becomes depressed over time. It’s an incredible art piece, not practical of course.
