  • About the build:
    Thanks to the Quickness Herald in my subgroup, I don't have to bring spirits for Might and Protection and am free to play my cc bot build. The exact build requires Secrets of the Obscure (SotO) expansion for Mace, Asura for Technobabble, another source of Might in my subgroup (here: Quickness Herald), and 16x concentration infusions.
    I achieve 100% daze duration via the Marksmanship master trait Moment of Clarity (50%), Sigil of Paralyzation (30%), and Mesmer runes (33%). Since Mesmer runes only increase daze duration, but Moment of Clarity and Paralyzation also increase stun duration, I end up with 80% stun duration as well. This is great as basically all of my cc skills are stuns or dazes, however, pet cc skills aren't affected by the duration increases.
    As I play an Asura, I have access to Technobabble. Due to the Nature Magic grandmaster trait Nature's Vengeance, Storm Spirit's slam is cast twice. Thanks to the Druid adept trait Blood Moon, I daze when I enter CA.
    Therefore, these are the cc values I end up with:
    Storm Spirit: 2x 400
    Technobabble: 600
    Mace#3: 450 (x2 if activating Force of Nature)
    Warhorn#5: 400
    Glyph of Equality outside of CA: 400
    Black/Pink Moa F2: 300 each
    CA Enter: 200
    CA#3: 300
    In this fight, bringing Rock Gazelle and Electric Wyvern over Moas might lead to more cc output on the cc add due to their passive skills (232 on each active, 200 for Gazelle and 232 for Wyvern on passives). However, since there's also ~8 breakbars on Mai Trin and Scarlet that should be broken quickly, I prefer to bring Moas.
    Bringing Hammer over Staff will further increase your cc, however, I learned that I cannot do this switch in my static if I want to fulfil my main role of keeping my group from being downed during Scarlet phases as I might need Staff#5 + Staff#3 combo as emergency healing (see 2:52). Staff will be even more important if your squad's dps isn't high enough to skip the laser AoEs and the projectile orbs. Hammer would offer the following cc values:
    Hammer#3: 350
    Hammer#5: 200
    About the fight:
    We start by instantly ccing Mai Trin to keep her from dodging around as much. If it's the first time you start the fight, the boonstrip will happen very late (after around 13s); if it's not the first time you start the fight, then the boonstrip happens earlier (after around 6s) and instantly cc'ing is way harder. Since we always go for the early boonstrip, I open with a lot of cc skills including Warhorn#5 for Might and entering CA for Alacrity and then quickly stack up Might and Alacrity again via Pet Swap, CA#5, and CA#4 after the boonstrip (see 0:01).
    Certain mechanics such as the laser AoEs and the projectile orbs can be skipped by having high enough dps on the dps add. We achieved this in every cc add phase and therefore didn't have to deal with those mechanics, further increasing our dps uptime on Scarlet and reducing the damage pressure on the squad.
    In the second Laser phase (see 5:07), I got the Reverse the Polarity Special Action Key (SAK). In order to succeed, both players with the SAK have to press it close to the correct Ferrous Bomb in order to create a safe zone for the squad. Since this phase is basically only downtime and I'm bored of it, I like to keep my SAK as long as possible after making sure the first SAK got attached to the correct bomb (see 5:10); since at that point one bomb is destroyed and the other one is already attached to an SAK, pressing the final SAK anywhere in the arena will always attach it to the remaining bomb, so as long as I press my SAK before the phase ends we won't wipe. The phase ends when the circle that spawned last (see 5:21) reaches the squad (see 5:28).

Without the 16 concentration infusions you'll lose 5.3% boon duration. If you want to further boost your cc on the cost of healing, bring Hammer over Staff.
