I love how Eugene is acting like a normal person who is left handed while Ned, Keith, and Zach, are acting as if they only have one hand.
right!! XDDD
Except for when he did the pants he only used one hand then đ€·ââïž
I feel like Zach didn't understand the concept, bc he literally says "I can't do this with one hand"
Right? Like it was unheard of for a right handed person to reach for something with their left hand. Their content is fun and all, but when they do these "The Try Guys try doing X for a day" challenges they manage to do them in the most frustratingly unnatural way possible.
except when he put his pants on with one hand. And when he did his tie with one hand. lol
7 minutes in : Eugene is the only one remembering that most left handed ppl actually use both of their hands
Trueđ
True. Ppl even can't hold scissor with left hand. And left-handed can nail the both
Exactly!!!!!
Yep
key word: most
Idk why everyone is annoyed, as a left handed person I know that we all have cut off our right hands to fully embrace our leftyness.
Yesssss đđœđđœ
Right?? Us lefties have two hands, too!
Yesss lefty here!
Iâve become ambidextrous but I still write (legibly) with my left.
@@emilyzaragoza2151 Lmaoo itâs the opposite for međđ
I think they're using one hand because if they use both they will automatically default to use their right. So to avoid that, they just use one hand lol
That makes so much sense!
And if they were to use the other to assist people wouldâve said they were still using their right hand
yeah. it's like they are doing more of a "not using their dominant hand" challenge than a "using their left hand as if it were their dominant hand" challenge
@@thc1597 yup what they many would have to do is just what they do with their dominant hand but with their non dominant hand, aka if they cut with right hand they use their left hand to cut
They couldâve still used both hands when holding or putting on clothes or even when they cut the fruit especially Zach when he went to cut them and peel the orange you can still use the other hand to hold stuff. Iâm a righty and still use my left to hold stuff in place or even now Iâm typing with both bc the other hand isnât completely useless
Welcome back to the âEugene does everything close to flawless, Keith is doing a beautiful job, and Ned and Zach are chaotic challengeâ
Hahahah
Zach really went all in trying to do everything totally one-handed đ I love it
Isn't that almost every video besides the baking/cooking videos?
@@Lovingmybeautifulife yes
They said âletâs become lefties,â then proceeded to throw away the right hand đ
If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing
I think it was so they don't accidentally use their right hand
Eugene used both hands like most left handed people for most of the video which is why he seemed to suffer the least.
Ned also used his right hand, just not as his dominant
Ya it makes no sense
My man Zach never gets the assignment. Like he fully doesn't even know what subject he's working on. In every single video it is my singular joy watching zach run around like that chicken from Moana to accomplish the tasks.
I have never read anything more accurate đ
He does have Hei Hei energy....

Okay but itâs supposed to be âleft handed for a dayâ not âonly using your non-dominant hand for a dayâ. You can USE TWO HANDS TO TIE A TIE.
Exactly what I was thinking...
True, but I guess it's difficult to not just switch to mostly usibg your right hand unconsciously when doing something with bith hands because you're so used to it... :D
Or open a jar. Especially when itâs hard to open.

@@mollywinchurst2056 thank you. Although Iâve been thinking about changing it lately.
This turned more into a âONE hand challengeâ instead of a left hand challenge.
For Zach mostly
Yeah I saw that. Which I think kinda ruins the challenge. Like ned wearing an oven mitt, and I think trying to change the diaper with only one hand?
Two different challenges. Left handed people still have two hands.
Mte. Was confused since Eugene was using two hands just not using the right one as the dominant one
@@MrBandorr exactly my thought too
YES! I inclusively thought (as a lefty): We're lefties! It's not like we don't have our right hand
I love how the guys' letters are about the day while Eugene's letter is from him in war to his husband, Zach
He got into a full getup, it was amazing
Ok, why is no one talking about our beautiful brass instrumentalist Keith. As a fellow horn and trumpet player (and hopefully more in the future) your control and intonation is incredible and you're slurs are so clean. Wow. How is no one talking about this.
He did great on french, there were some intonation wabbles in the pedal range and the baritone was pretty good, but I didn't honestly hear slurs more more "trombone slurs" and I can say that as a trombonist. He still did very well overall
All I could say is that I admire the skills, not sure how much he plays nowadays so that was great!!
i wish more people talked about keith's musicality. like, can we get a "keith teaches the try guys to play french horn" video? band kids and former bans kids (such as myself) would absolutely eat that shit up
Didn't he go to undergrad for music/french horn?
I really felt Keith with the whole horn and euphonium thing. And his sound is so nice! And I'm honestly not too surprised he was able to play euphonium with his left hand because I sometimes play other brass upside down or backwards and can do it relatively easily (I'm also a Horn player)
The reason this ended up being more of a âsingle hand onlyâ challenge is because most right handed ppl think they never use their left hand, that dominant hand means its the one you use the most. But this isnt entirely true, you use both your hands as you see fit. One hand has control - your dominant hand, while the other works as support, you will struggle more if you lack any of them. Its not just that youre not used to have the left hand be the one in control - your right hand is probably not used to do the work of the left either.
I think it's more that they didn't want to revert to using their right hand by mistake so they over compensated by just not using their right hands at all. Which does change the challenge a lot, but I'm not sure for some of the challenges how they could have forced themselves to use both but still use their left as dominant. Eugene seemed to be the best at actually being left handed instead of one handed, which isn't really surprising that he was the best at something.
So right!! As a lefty, if my right hand is compromised in any way, it is hard to do regular tasks, since I usually use both hands to assist me . I find right handed people underestimate the everyday usefulness of their left hand. They donât notice until forced to use the left hand as dominate. :)
Exactly. I find myself using both my hands simultaneously with a lot of things and sometimes the left hand is the one doing most of the work.
@@blindpeopledostuff3587 Right! Like my left hand and arm can carry all the groceries, but my right one can only lift a bag or two. I am right handed, but my left does a lot of the heavy (non-dexterous) lifting.

am I weird? I use my left hand to open the fridge.
I'm lefty and use my left hand to open the fridge. I usually move to the side of the fridge so it doesn't hit me, but I do it daily. I didn't realize it would smack lefty's in the face until I saw a tik tok talking about lefty struggles.

Canât move on from Zach vs Pineapple đ
Keith seemed to sometimes be on the right track too.
i love the fact that keith and zach chose the same picture to color. how on brand for them. i love it when they're literally the same person.
Some people never practiced using their non-dominant hand because they wanted to teach themselves to be ambidextrous as a child, and it shows.
Even being a left-dominant mostly ambidextrous, there are some things my right hand does way better, and some things my left hand does way better. Right-handed chopsticks makes me feel like I'm 3 and still learning how hands work.
I forced myself to be ambidextrous and now there's thing i can only do with either my left or right hand lol
I'm right-handed, but try writing with my left sometimes. It sucks, I gotta say!
You know Iâve noticed that Eugene is a lot more positive than he thinks he is. Everyone else is like âthis is badâ and heâs like âitâs not as good as I hoped it would be.â

When youâre left handed youâre kind of ambidextrous because the world is made for right handed people.
Can relateee!
THIS! Thank you lol people around me find it so bizarre I can do so many things right handed whilst being dominantly left handed
Exactly! I call myself "functionally ambidextrous" because though dominantly left handed I can do almost anything with my right hand if I need to because I've had to learn throughout my life. I've even caught myself writing on the board right-handed (I'm a teacher) without realizing because I was holding something in my left hand and just picked up a marker and started writing. :D
Yeah, the world kinda forces you to from the get go. I'm still mostly left hand dominant though.

She said she not going to have evil in her classroom. Fast forwarded thirty three years my daughter in her kindergarten class and the teacher told my husband and I at a parent teacher meeting that she was writing with her left hand and she needs to learn the right way to write.
That's when we dug in our heels and said no we will not teach her to be a right-handed person she was born left handed and that's the way she's staying. I'm relearning to use my left hand. So now I'm kind of ambidextrous.
Oh my word! I am so sorry that you ever had to experience such ugliness from a teacher. That is so awful.

I came down here to see if anyone else had said this. I feel like Eugene making the fruit salad was how the challenge SHOULD have been... using your non-dominant hand as your primary hand for tasks, not ONLY using your non-dominant hand. If you're trying to discover the challenges left-handed people face, adding the extra challenge of doing two-handed tasks with ONLY your left hand just muddies the waters and makes it out to be a silly challenge, rather than a serious view of what it's like living in a world where most things are designed for right-hand-dominant people, IMHO.

I brush my teeth, eat, clean and even fold laundry with my left hand while my right hand takes up the supporting role. I've recently started learning how to write and honestly? It's a lot of fun đ I def recommend people to put "Use my left hand more" on their new year's resolutions
Itâs so fun seeing people try being left handed from someone who is left handed.
Everyone else: pretending their left hand is their dominant hand
Zach: pretending he has one hand
Zach is the only one that didnât realize that he could still use his right hand
For the beginning of the video I don't think any of them did lol
Also Zach is basically playing fruit ninja đ€Ł
My brother uses his left hand for writing but for all other things like chores, cooking, and eating, he uses his right hand.
Damn what a talented man. My left hand is useless lolđđ
I am ambidextrous. I had surgery on my right hand and people were worried about me. I was jus fine.
13:35 keith growls
seeing Eugene in a dress shirt and jeans reminded me that he's a Texan at heart
lol its not just texans who do that, in other parts of the world they just call it "business casual"

If only he had a big vanity belt buckle
As a lefty this video felt like âwhat right-handed people think being a lefty is likeâ because most right-handed people canât fathom using their non-dominant hand for anything, where as for most lefties itâs no big deal because we have no choice but to do it often.
Iâm left-handed but I use my right hand for things because itâs more comfortable
This is why we lefties are way more adaptive
@@fireangel2923 uh huh
@@jamiehollins4421, It's so weird yet so useful. I love it lol
I'm cross dominant and I blows people's my that I can stuff with my left hand even though I'm right hand. To me, I never thought about until people pointed it out.
The classical piece when theyre getting ready for the letters is one of my favesđ
A little extra joy on top of chuckling and cheering at this video
I love how Zach and Keith did the same page
eugene, ned, keith: perfectly ties a tie with their left hands
zach: struggles to put a t-shirt on
Yâall no đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł as a left handed person, this isnât being left handed for a day. This was a one handed non-dominant hand challenge. Lefties still use their right hands! Life is just harder as a left handed person because tools and average products are designed with the right handed person in mind. If you want to REALLY experience what being left handed is like, Iâd suggest a video where you try all left handed tools with your right hand. Because left handed people have to use right handed tools constantly and thatâs the real struggle.
But also LEFTIES STILL USE BOTH HANDS??? đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
I think that would be funny. But also it's so they don't instinctively use their right hand as well. Everyone but mostly Eugene had that little trust in themselves.
they started the video with mostly using their left hand but somehow transitioned to only using their left hand ???? đđđ i dont know how they reached that conclusion...
Thatâs true! Lefty here
Iâm a righty but I still thought the same thing. Like, I use my left hand to help with stuff all the time. No way I could do these things with JUST my right either. Oy....
The problem here: I tried this and to use ONLY your non-dominant hand is less thinking than switching for every task the parts the dominant and non-dominant hand do. It would be easier to switch the hands in a task when you figured out how to switch. But less thinking (and harder action) is completely ignoring the existence of one hand. Not title and initial concept of the video but mentally easier to progress with. But I get why as a lefty this is annoying.
on today's episode of "Eugene Succeeding at Everything": being left handed
I love their friendship...you could feel their love for each other as they read the letters...Eugene nailed this challenge
Why are they acting like left handed people do everything one handed like wtf
that's what made this video funny to me lmao, everyone except for Eugene took it so seriously and intensely that they forgot lefties still have another hand to use
69th like đ
We still got another hand
It probably because their dominant hand is their right and they really never recognized that they don't use it lol
Itâs true. Left handed ( including myself) people only have one hand. The other one might as well be cut off. Lol.
"Try Guys Try Being One Handed For A Day Using Their Non-Dominant Hand"
yes thank you
That
Eugene just chillen the entire time knowing he can use both hands and do it normally
As a person who can use both hands to write and do about everything switching between left and right I find it funny to see people struggle
âHe doesnât know what money is yetâ god I wish that were me.
Also anyone else notice that Eugene signed his letter Carol? Thatâs his character from the D&D video, right?
I did and was coming to the comments immediately. Lol
I did, but probably because that's my name so everytime Eugene uses it I become hyper-aware
HUHUHUHUHHHUHUHHU CAROL RETURNS
The colored pinky is a true sign of a left handed human. Pens, pencils, markers, charcoal, doesn't matter it will be a permanent smudge on my life lol
True, there were times i had ink under the nail of my pinky
Same as digital art when the screens freaks out because it senses your hand all over the screen
Donât forget about writing on any smart board
Nope, I do not experience this and never will. I write underhand not overhand, I am the rare lefty.
Will be relating to this my entire life
I get that the mitten was probably meant to just serve as a âdonât use this handâ reminder, but because itâs so awkward Ned and Zach maybe took it a little too seriously lol. Probably shouldâve used a glove or something so they could at least hold things more easily and still be a reminder
10:55 such a good wing Eugene.
