- (November 2022) This is a totally awesome vintage Fairhall elevator in Presser Hall at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. This is the third round elevator I've ridden and this by far is the coolest one. This elevator was installed by Fairhall, which is a company I don't know a lot about. The elevator is totally round and has two curved single slide doors, two car panels, and two indicators. Another thing you might notice is the very loud banging sounds while the car is moving. I believe that noise is the interlocks for the doors engaging as the car moves past each floor. In addition to the elevator, I take a walk down the stairs to show the floor layout and exterior of this unique elevator.

I’ve never seen a single slide round elevator before, that’s awesome!
It’s the first time I’ve seen one.
Fairhall was once I distibutor of Montgomery...that's all I know about them lmao. Very neat installation!!
Interesting. I haven’t run across one of those yet, but I also only saw 2 Fairhall elevators.
absolutely EPIC! also epic that its single slide too!
I agree!
very efficient use of space
Pretty cool this elevator! I haven't seen that shape of an elevator before... What incredible this elevator on video, buddy! 😎👍
0:20 EPIC MOTOR STARTUP!!!

Now this is what I call an amazingly nice, unique elevator, in that it's a HIGHDRAULIC (with 7 floors), an epic DRY power unit, a large 4000# capacity, and EPCO Circle-Line fixtures that are holding up well. Another unique round elevator you should visit is the Milwaukee Art Museum, which is a big, scenic glass elevator, has epic MEI dry power unit, and CJ Anderson fixtures.
I want to see that one at some point!
Ah yes, I am from Milwaukee and when I lived in Oshkosh I would go to the Milwaukee Art Museum often when I visit Milwaukee. Last summer I went to the museum and indeed the elevator has an epic D-flat pitched motor. But I wonder, where is the machine room and what does it sound like. If you go to the Milwaukee Art Museum, pls try to find the machine room for this awesome elevator. If you find it, pls film the machine room sound. I wanna hear this thing startup.
i live in bloomington didnt even know this exsisted. nice find!
Now you might have to see it for yourself!
Damn another round elevator.
Yep!
It's a REAL Cylinder Elevator!! Especially when the Hydraulic Piston's in the VERY CENTER!! It's a control tower styled Elevator!!
fact : each time there is a elevator in raving rabbids, its ALLWAYS round like this exept that it has a traditional door system but rounded instead of a single speed door system but rounded and no rear door, very intresting..
That is soo cool!
Nice!
Nice

The Jim Beam American Stillhouse elevator is round and is pretty small. It’s in Clermont, KY.
That's cool.
Andrew needs to see that
Pretty interesting, kinda reminds me of that one Eberius.
This one is a lot larger than the Eberius. There’s also the one we found in Wichita, KS.
Definitely could use some love
It’s not in that bad of shape though.
i love that motor
I do too.
Elevator information:
Brand: Fairhall
Buttons: EPCO
Door type: single slide sliding right ▶️ and left ◀️ for rear door
Number of elevators: 1
Number of floors: 7 (B, G, 1R, 1F, 2R, 2F, 3)
Amazing and Epic in my opinion! Epic motor too! I didn't know that Fairhall was a brand! I just looked this up and I believe it's a defunct company, is that true?
They aren’t around anymore.
@@stlelevators R.I.P that's too bad 🥺😞😭😢
They placed the call station panels above the bottom riser of the stairs on each floor except the top.
the only downside is the emergency phone seems to have been added on and it doesn't seem to fit in
Cool! EPCO? sure... EPIC? indeed! I see the signs reference this as elevator A. Is there another one?
I didn’t find another one.
Oh I remember the one dieselducy filmed this one is a similar layout with the steps going around it but this one has a single slider door and has a rear door on it
You talking about the round Eberius in Clayton? We also filmed one in Wichita.
@@stlelevators yes thats the one
Hi Jason how big is the elevator
It’s larger than other round elevators I’ve been on.
Whats that noise in the shaft?!?
I said what it was in the description.
Looks like Portal.
Oh yeah it kind of does!
This is a round elevator but it looks nice
Hi
I like round
Me too!
These are cool but still doesn't beat the ones in Kankakee
Oh there’s one over there too?
@@stlelevators not round but instead some good running traction elevators
No Brandon 👍🏻
This didn’t age well at all. lmao
@@DJSpinSter2004 oh okay
I wouldn't put these comments in. I mean replying to him is one thing, but I wouldn't want to leave a comment about someone who you personally don't like out in the open.
