The more choices the better, so I will also vote yes to bring USDC and USDT into Cardano.
If you don't like it, than don't use it, that's the beauty of freedom, you can make choices.

You're not looking past the superficial layer of your argument.
You can already use USDT and USDC on Cardano.
The "more options" argument only succeeds when there are more options with liquidity. Centralizing liquidity under USDC destroys the "more options: narrative.
No new liquidity from outside the ecosystem will show up due to USDC. Instead, people inside Cardano will all buy USDC, killing liquidity in homegrown coins.
Why is this a problem? You give significant power to Circle over Cardanos liquidity.
CHAMPIONING FOR CENTRALIZED LIQUIDITY IS NOT DECENTRALIZED GOVERNANCE.... ITS ASKING FOR CENTRALIZATION.
Want USDC? Go to a centralized network.

Variety and choice are good things. We need to continue to support USDM as well as good algorithmic options. USDC and USDT are essential for liquidity to flow into our ecosystem! Well worth the 10 million to onboard. That is chump change for what it will bring to the chain in terms of volume and on ramps. No brainer that we need all of it for long term health of the chain.

What evidence is there that it brings in new users? People aren’t in cardano because ghost chain, slow, dead, Charles, excuse, excuse, not because of a lack of native usdc

I would be absolutely flabbergasted if the actual development cost is north of $500k. My impression is that none of the funds would go towards adding actual liquidity, and don't buy into the unbacked argument that it will bring liquidity by just being added. Taken together I can think of more fun ways to waste $20M

I think that algorithmic stable coins are better, you can already create a good project with 10 million, which would increase Cardano's liquidity
I'm just looking forward to the discourse regarding arguing proposals one way or another for things. If ETFs take over they'll vote to increase staking rewards to like 10% until the treasury is emptied.
We needed usdc to be implemented by the end of 2024. I don't think it's going to happen high key!

I would say it serves the same functionality, but in value, absolutely not. We need usdc to finally become a true top coin. Not a self proclaimed one.
I would vote yes for usdc. Even if its negotiated and instead of 10 mil we pay 7 lets say. Currently over 700 mil dollars, and many people outside want it to see cardano in good eyes. Just pay the amount and price will go up becasue more people come and the ada in the treasury will amount to more, so its ..cancelling the payment out by its own
