- Vixen - Edge Of A Broken Heart MTV Unplugged ULTRA RARE video in the BEST QUALITY with lyrics.
Lyrics
I can't believe I could've been so blind, but love is strange
I thought about it for a long long time, but the truth remains
I don't need another lonely night to dry my tears
The answer's plain as black and white, and I can see the picture very clear
[Chorus:]
I been living on the edge of a broken heart
I don't wanna fall, I don't wanna crawl
I been living on the edge of a broken heart
Don't you wonder why I gotta say goodbye
It isn't like you never had the chance to change your tune
Did you think that I'm a dime a dance, well the dance is through
I been doing things your way too long, but baby that's over (baby that's over)
It won't be easy, but I gotta be strong
And if I wanna cry I don't need your shoulder
[chorus]
I'll find someone else who's nothing like you
And who can play the game as well
And you're gonna be sorry baby - when it's over
[Solo]
I been doing things your way too long, baby that's over (baby that's over)
It won't be easy, but I've got to be strong
And if I wanna cry I don't need your shoulder
[chorus]
I been living on the edge of a broken heart
I been living on the edge of a broken heart
Don't you wonder why I gotta say goodbye
I been living on the edge of a broken heart

Had no idea they did an Unplugged. What a great version of this classic.
+Carmen Piro From an MTV Unplugged appearence that was. Great indeed.
I had the pleasure of doing one of these unplugged shows with Vixen, I ran the FOH board and I can tell you, they were so tight and in the pocket, Janet's vocals were divine, wow, how lucky was I.
I don´t like MTV Unplugged, but this time I was very impressed by my favorite female rock group. I loved this version more than the original revealing Share to be a surprising multi-instrumentalist (bass, piano, guitar, composer, writer, singer ...), excellent Janet singing accompanied by the acoustic guitar but the best is the presence of the very much missed and beautiful Jan. These videos must to have millions of views.
If you look back it's amazing to see all the bands that did MTV unplugged. It makes you wonder why all of these performances have been buried
Damn, I had no idea that the ladies did this unplugged. Awesome.
Oh My God!!, Vixen Unplugged with Share playing piano?!. Wow! The Hard Rock Band most underrated that i've been seeing.
TheWatcherofsky is that share? They have a male keyboardist. I should watch again to see if they show her face...because i dont remember her hair being yellow blonde like that. And she'd wear something more feminine than an oversized tshirt & vest id think...
By god, i think you're right! It was Share
I’ve seen another video of this concert, “Love is a Killer” and i confirmed that the pianist is Share!. With these videos i confirmed that my all time favourite Female Hard Rock Band is Vixen over Girlschool and Phantom Blue.
😊 what about "the runaways"? They were pretty cool, and could seriously rock👊💝
That was awesome!! Another reason why the 80's was the best of times ever.
Magnifique!
Vixen rocked back then and they still rock today!
Genias
Beautiful
thanks for sharing. R.i.p. Jan
Take a note all you female vocalists out there!!! This is what REAL TALENT looks like!!!!
so cool!~ Great musicians.
I wish i had this complete unplugged gig
TeoKeh, thanks again for another awesome video upload. Vixen isn't going to be the same without the founder and lead guitarist the late, great Jan Kuehnemund. RIP Jan Kuehnemund, you'll be greatly missed. since I've never seen Vixen it just isn't going to be the same when I do see the remaining members play.
jonjor1987 I agree with you. Vixen is one of the best and will remain whatsoever. You're welcome.
TeoKeh, thank you and you're welcome too.
+jonjor1987 I saw them twice in the late 80's & 1990. Believe me, Jan Kuehnemund was the leader, founder, the heart & soul of Vixen. She was the driving force, their engine. She was unquestionably their leader. Onstage & off. She was one of the best guitarists on earth, right up there with other legendary hall of famers. Her technical skill was off the charts. Watching her play, you blocked everything else out of your mind. It was indescribable. It was surreal.
thomas bratkovich, thanks for that info. would've been nice to have seen them in the 80's and before Jan passed away though.
@Tomislav renfrew leaders don't get kicked out
I love it. Thank you so much. 💙
Incredible.... this is better than the original version. Man Janet Gardner can sing..... I want a date with the drummer Roxy Petrucci (and leave the heels on...). Maybe we could start a band together....*winks....
Toda una tremenda Banda, sin dudas.
Amazing!
💜
Smokeshow!
i got it on a lp
Please call miley and other crap that this is how it is done.
Urfli Colina 99.9999% today's music is shit.
Better comment before they block it
wow they were young here.
And Jan was alive.
I wish Janet hadn't left Vixen
Barf.
Had no idea they did an Unplugged. What a great version of this classic.
