Difference between PKP and PKM:
-The PKM (In Russian:"Kalashnikov's Machine-gun Modernised"), was adopted into service in 1969. The PKM is a modernised version of the original PK machine gun (1961). The upgrades are primarily aimed at reducing the weight, simplifying production, and facilitating easier operation. The receiver cover became more rigid due to lengthwise ribs. The butt was fitted with a hinged butt-rest. The barrel fluting was omitted and the flash hider was changed. Later on the PKM was equipped with a new black glass-filled polyamide buttstock and pistol grip shaped like the previously used laminated wooden stock and grip.
-The PKP Pecheneg (2001) is a further development and modification of the PKM. It has a heavy fixed barrel encased in a radial cooling sleeve that uses forced-air cooling, much like the Lewis Gun of World War I.
PKP would be the modern version of the PKM, with a heavy barrel and somewhat improved cooling.
Also, allows an optic. I don’t believe the PKM had a optic mounting system

Differences between the PKP and PKM is that it's kinda like the AK47 and AKM, and that the AKM and PKP are just more modern versions of the guns from what it seems.

Cod4 M4, use either the 14 carbine shroud or the 11.5 carbine shroud. Then put on a underbarrel grip like for example the VX pineapple, and then that should be it!

That scope is probably modeled after the AUG A3's scope instead of the A1, mostly noticable by the picatinny rail on the top of it. While im no legal expert im pretty sure there would be no issue with infinity ward putting in the A1 scope (considering we already have the normal AUG and it's other variants in the game) but im just guessing they just went with the A3 scope variant instead because it's more modern ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@Realninja7214 nah i use that sight for nostalgia also iron sights are way off compared to the stakeout the lockwood 680 iron sights are better for the stake out but it doesnt have the stockless pistol grip so i run that sight for it.

Man I love your videos, it’s always cool seeing people using gunsmith to recreate guns from prior titles than to make meta weapons. Thought I was alone on that idea
The PKP is basically a modernized PKM with a heavier barrel and optic mounts (along with various other improvements).
When it comes to guns, their designations can change even with the slightest modifications. An M4 carbine ceases to be that when you give it full auto capabilities and a slightly heavier barrel. At that point, it's not considered an M4 with full auto, now it's now an M4A1 (Model-4, Alteration-1).
Each military has different naming conventions (hell, even the US armed forces use different conventions between branches).
I can't say what the P in PKP means to set apart from the PKM, but that's how the russians chose to designate the modernized PKM.

PKP is the new “Assault” variant of the PK/PKM General Purpose MG. It has a heavier barrel/cooling jacket (that carry handle looking deal also aids in cooling). It has a fixed bipod as opposed to a detachable one. Among other things. It’s basically made to be a an assaulting mg as opposed to a vehicle mount or tank coax gun like the other PK machine guns (PK, PKM, PKT)
If you want a more practical RSASS clone use the KV Inhibitor with:
Optic: SIGHTMAX CLEAR SHOT
Stock: ZLR BULWARK
Suppressor: NILSOUND 90
This way you can get the same hybrid scope from 2011
So, compared to PKM: PKP has the accuracy of fire increased by 1.7 (from the machine) and 1.9 (from the bipod), the survivability of the barrel doubled and the drift of the average aiming point reduced when shooting large ammunition loads.
So, the PKP Pecheneg is an upgraded version of PKM.
Just like the AK-12 is the better version of AK-74, technically really close to each other, but AK-12 is better, stronger & sexier

a PKP is basically just a Modernized PKM with a Heavy Barrel and better cooling. Easiest way to tell the difference between the two is that the PKP has that distinct Handlebar/Arch integrated into the barrel while the PKM had a more traditional looking barrel with a normal carry handle. A fun fact about both of the weapons is that the way they operate mechanically is basically just the internals of an AK flipped upside down

The PKP Pecheneg (Pulemyot Kalashnikova Pekhotny "Pecheneg", Russian: Печенег)[8][9] is a Russian 7.62×54mmR general-purpose machine gun.[4] It is a further development and modification of the PK machine gun (PKM).[10] It is said to be more accurate than all its predecessors due to a heavier, removable, partially forced-air-cooled barrel with radial cooling ribs and a handle which eliminates the haze effect from hot gases and keeps the barrel cooler, making the weapon more reliable.[11] Furthermore, the weapon is capable of having a telescopic sight or other sights mounted on it, which increases its accuracy and effective range.
That AUG loadout will go hard with the Mustang and Sally blueprint.

Also for your question regarding the PKP and PKM
From what i've found is that the PKM, like alot of russian guns with M in the end it's a modernized and improved version of the previous variant. That being the PK machine gun.
The PKP is a further improvement of the PKM with a fixed barrel that is cooled by forced air and it is more accurate, and also allows for longer fire because of the cooling in the barrel.
So basically to simplify it we got PK "MK1/The original" machine gun --> PKM a modernized version "MK2" of the PK machine gun with some improvements --> PKP a more modern and specialized version of the PKM "MK3" with some improvements on top of it, and those improvements letting it fire for longer periods of time

So the difference between the PKM and PKP is that the PKM is older having a wooden pistol grip and stock and more rounded trigger guard (the part under the trigger) and was manufactured in the late 50s early 60s, the PKP is more modern and updated having a carry handle on top of the barrel for easy carry, optic mount, and barrel change with the off side carry handle while being more up to date with the Russian army's AK-103, 104, 12, and 15s while having a more modular means to having high quality (more like copy cat) optics, laser sights, I highly recommend subscribing to Forgotten Weapons and my boy Brandon Herrera for some gun information also to fix your mw3 smg I chose to run the ruthless barrel and throwing on the lockshot KT85 Muzzle device to keep it looking like a normal barrel as possible

My only complaint with the bipod attachments in this game is that they cant be folded. You wouldnt be running the bipods deployed unless you were proned up in an overwatch or crouched behind a barricade.
PKP has all of the action behind the trigger (bullpup) and the PKM has the action in front of the trigger.
