- 87002 & 50007/50049 The Caledonian Railtour @ Crewe on the 7th October 2017..London Euston - Glasgow, 87002 was London - Crewe and 50007 + 50049 was Crewe - Glasgow..the first clips are the Hoovers arriving light engine from Kidderminster SVR, then we see 87002 arriving into crewe then the changeover and finally the departure with clag of the 50s to Glasgow...
Great video Kevin. Double headed 50's!!! Takes me back, I saw them all past Hodge Lane , Hartford, in the early 70's, double headed before to Glasgow, before electrification.
Great video buddy, the 50s are still one of my favourite loco’s. 👍🙂
The rake of MK1 and MK2 coaches in BR blue and grey looks fantastic. Great vid
tony wilson thx
Top notch: best classic traction video I've seen recently 👍
It’s almost going back to the 90s when we see ac locos on the west coast mainline
Cracking film! Defiance looks awesome with the full yellow cab, large intercity logo and black zoro-like mask on the windscreen. Thank goodness there was no NSE livery to be seen. #travesty
Amazing bloody amazing video mate as every video Watch them all the time and they are all amazing this video is great too and a really nice Catch
Thx mate
Superb. Love the fifties. Nice to see an 87 again too.
It will be a shame to see the 87s go I do like em reminds me of going to crewe when I was a kid as well as the 86 the 50s are an awesome machine though
Really good 👍thanks 😊.
I was at Tamworth when 87002 came through
Brilliant video Kevin. Plenty of action there, great coverage. Excellent departure. Kind regards C&A
Was very busy when they arrived and even busier when the tour arrived
Went on that once. Great day out

A brilliant video of the railtour at Crewe Kev nicely done indeed.

Nice video Kev . The 50s made a lot of noise even when light engine . Looked like it was busy there.
Thx John

South Wales Rail Productions having a cab ride.....😂
Top video Kevin we was close to each other at Crewe, just found time to upload mine. Regards Mike
Will look forward to watching it
50007 Should be painted back in green, the best livery on a 50.
👍
Does 87002 still run on the mainline?
Crewe cab king -yes it does
may i ask why the 50s didnt run from london euston all the way to glasgow in one go like they did in BR days?
Pretty sure they never did in BR days. Glasgow trains were electric hauled from Euston-Crewe where the 50's would take over to go North.
Im refering to before eletrification was started
The 50s were only brought into service in 1967, after electrification between Euston and Crewe.
Eliott Jeary As said before, the 50s only ran between Preston and Glasgow.
Correct! Prior to them being gradually transferred to the WR as replacements to the superior, (in my view!), Class 52 fleet.
Windgeräusche nerven!
Shame the badger no longer runs
