    I heard this gig first performed by the Bryggen Bruges Strings. That was mind blowing. This is even more astonishing. Unbelievable. Goose bumps!

      The first violinist of DSQ, Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen, wrote this piece

    My always "turn to tune " in the middle of the night when things get shaky in order to dance of all the tension and I listen to it at least 10 times in a row... loving how you guys uphold the tension in the live situation... well equiped and wonderfully sensitive playing... next time you play in vienna i hopefully won't miss it again! The mix between classical and folkloric voicing is perfeclty set and quite touching... admire your work!

    Worthy things can not became viral, they are too good to be viral. That is the way this world is sadly running...

    They are all so talented, but when the second violin is playing the same note rhythmically, that is really hard.

    I love their music. This piece is, to my taste, particularly beautiful. However, next time, can someone please put a carpet or something underneath their shoes? They are counting with their feet - especially at the beginning of the piece - and the microphones captured every single tap with excruciating definition. It was incredibly distracting.

    • @michaelfvt
      @michaelfvt Před 4 lety +9

      Foot tapping is pretty standard in folk music -- I think it adds to the ambiance actually. There is a video of them performing "Waltz after Lasse" and at one point they all audibly tap the 3-1 waltz rhythm and I think it added something special to the performance.

    • @zkrtrt
      @zkrtrt Před 4 lety +1

      @@michaelfvt oh absolutely. In some circumstances I think it also adds to the performance. In this one, imo, it disrupted the piece and didn't make it as enjoyable to me. But to each his/her own ofc.

    • @patriciahill1101
      @patriciahill1101 Před 4 lety +4

      It's percussion. And dance. And folk music is never distorted or distracted by either.

    • @zkrtrt
      @zkrtrt Před 4 lety

      @@patriciahill1101 And I understand that point. The only thing I said was that, to me, the foot tapping did not make it as enjoyable as it could've been without it.
