Based on form its Gordon. But Southgate does not care about form, so he will pick Grealish

Grealish still needs to be in the team he is the best LW Rashford should be dropped for Gordon.
Grealish I've noticed in training and games for England has become lazy, selfish and unproductively arrogant in recent years. Confidence and brio and wanting the ball is one thing, usually beneficial, but this is too far to a point it's detrimental. He's also starting a sort of clique/splinter group inside SGP, which is horrible for team cohesion and morale. Perhaps his City transfer fee, wages and the treble have gone to his head, and have started to infect the international squad.
I think Gordon offers everything Grealish does, but he's quicker, less selfish with a cross, scores more goals and was part of the U21 winning side being named player of the tournament. He has to be on the plane

It's interesting you brought up U21s: Jack has the disadvantage of not having come all the way through the English system, as from age 15-20 he was with Ireland and playing GAA, and when he was briefly with the Lions YT at age 21 he wasn't really very impressive, barring a few nice albeit forgettable and non-essential goals in Toulon 2016--a tournament the Young Lions won under Southgate. Jack's expendable, a luxury sub/bench/entertainment player in a way Gordon may not be when he comes into his prime. Sometimes it seems Jack's popularity and charisma and looks blind people to the fact that on the ball he's inefficient and bang average with an occasional moment of brilliance. Most of the time, he's about as average as people always accuse Henderson of being; Jack's just younger and stronger and has access to better training/physio than Hendo, there's little difference otherwise.
For me I think Bowen needs to be in the conversation. He’s been great so far this season

gordon is very versatile and his engine is unreal. he can keep the ball and he can counter, and he tracks his man. grealish is best deployed when you’re ahead against the better teams, he will buy freekicks and wound people up. but otherwise very predictable and backward passing merchant.

Gordon deserves to be in the squad, he’s grown from a kid with potential to a tireless and productive winger who can also do a shift through the middle too. He’s been far more productive than grealish this season.
As a Scotsman, if Gordon isn’t picked I’d be delighted if he switched to Scotland and came with us (I believe he has a Scottish relative somewhere!! Ha!).

At this present time you've gotta go with Gordon and I think Watkins is a cert 19 goals and none from pens is a amazing record, Gordon tracks back and grafts for the team, but Southgate is scared to change, he's still got Henderson playing, he's a good player but his international days are finished.
All depends...IF Grealish's spot is continually taken by Doku/Bobb while Gordon is starting week in and out at NU doing well, I think there will be a strong case for Grealish not being picked. IF not, and Jack is played much more at City (even if his role changes) then unless Gordon knocks it out of the park for the rest of the season, I can't see Jack not going.
Southgate doesn't pick on form or who's playing. That's why Maguire, Henderson, Phillips and Rashford never miss selection.

Oh thats a very good question. I am a massive fan of Jack BUT for me it should be based on form and how the player fits into the squad. Knowing Southgate, he likes to be surrounded by players he can trust, he has molded to his way of playing.

Curtis Jones should absolutely go. He's been excellent for Liverpool, was absolutely immense at the u21 Euros (personally I thought he was England's best player). Barring Bellingham and Rice, who are untouchable, I'd argue he's been the next best English midfielder in 2023.

I'm a Newcastle fan and i have to admit, before Gordon come to Newcastle i hated him. His face alone seemed to piss me off, but hes been absolutely amazing this season. He reminds me of Craig Bellamy when he played for us, and i even think hes got the potential to be much better than Bellamy.
