Who the hell thinks it's a good idea to do these? Do you need a class on how not to eat like a pig in public? Seriously.
      Table etiquette classes are dumb.

I don't know what's worse...the fact that many the videos you showed as examples of dating in the 1960's were probably from the 1950's or the fact that I know that.Nobody talked like that in the 1960's.

Unfortunately, you got this one wrong. And I'm a gay man, dear. And I'm 60. And I came out in 1976.
Yes. **SOME** people used computer dating. And it worked for **A FEW** of those people. But **MOST** people did NOT, because it was HORRIBLE!! And I used one of the very first gay computer dating services (ComQuest, in the 80s).
There were advertisements in publications, which sucked (tried those too). And there were indeed bars, which also sucked (yep, tried that too).
Where I, and nearly everyone else I know from my generation, met our partners was randomly. I met my partner of 21 years when he walked down the hall of our dorm. I met another when I played in an orchestra in Duluth MN.
The HUGE difference between you, my 20/30 something Canadian friend, and us, is that people now seem VERY VERY reticent to meet random people in person. Yes yes yes yes yes, everyone has their reasons, which I've heard, over and over. But consider this:
I know TONS, and I mean **TONS** of people under 35. They're all single. They don't even date. They **do** get laid though (thanks to Grindr, Tindr, etc etc). And ALL of them are depressed and lonely.
And that sir, is very very sad.
