JOMO KENYATTA WAS OUR LEADER - MAU MAU WAR VETERANS REVEAL

There are many claims that Jomo Kenyatta was not the Mau Mau leader. Indeed Kenyatta himself said as much during his trial in Kapenguria. But should we not expect an accused person, one who was educated and had subscribed to Western rationality and legal reasoning, to do all he can to save himself from jail, including dissociating himself from a "subversive" group? Many commentators have, with considerable relish, exploited Kenyatta's repudiation of Mau Mau during his trial. However, in this interview, Mau Mau veterans leave no doubt that Jomo Kenyatta was their leader. May the two versions, one from many Mau Mau participants and veterans, and those of people who were not there, compete for veracity.
