I was lucky enough to see them live years and years ago in Guelph Ontario at some big music festival when they were just up and coming. They had some epic energy on stage for sure!
It came out during a period where rock was basically pop punk garbage and hip hop/dance was the rage. The kids weren't paying attention to guitar based rock so this was glazed over. If this album was released 6-7 years earlier this song would have been enormous.
I don't know if Matt Mays and El Torpedo will ever read this, but you played a private gig for a bunch of soldiers on the Gagetown base 6 years ago. We appreciated that more then you will ever know, and made me a fan for life. The only Canadian Artist, or any artist, for that matter, that did such a thing while i was there. Thanks.
As a Nova Scotian we look upon Matt and his band with pride. And should he return to the city of lakes l will do everything in my power to be there. Takin' it on faith🤘
Wtf this song is amazing. I heard it on my way back home and had to search for it asap, was driving late on the highway and this just hit so damn right. What a banger.
Interestingly, I've just learned of this song recently as the rock radio station I listen to while driving seems to have resurrected it (I only moved to Canada in 2018). Now, if they'd do the same for new acts as they do for the old nostalgia bands, we could have a thriving rock scene once again!
Totally agree! I hate to admit it but yeah I was locked up in A prison in Malone NY And I’m from western NY. Well IN Malone we would get CANADIAN RADIO STATIONS AND I HEARD THIS ON CHOM 97.7 BACK IN 2007!!!!! I’ve been home for years now and I can’t believe I still remember the radio station! But yeah when this song came on I was HOOKED!!!! GREAT FUCKIN TUNE!
Minor correction, it was at least 2005, if not 2004, when it was released. I first heard it on an Edmonton radio station, whilst driving to Calgary, to pick up a brand new 2005 motorcycle. Maybe you are not meaning when it was first released though. Anyways, absolutely amazing song, that became the given name of said motorcycle! I still rock out to it regularly, especially when still riding that motorcycle, that I will always proudly own!🤘🤘
That white Falcone doesn't look so huge being played by a guy whos talent is just as huge. The coolest musician of my generation. Time stands still for this song. Matt just drives on in style.
Great Rockin Track..Heard it on the radio yesterday and thought it was a new Wallflowers tune..He sounds just like Jacob Dylan in my opinion..3 thumbs up!
It just dawned on me that the lyric “JJ’s song has been pushing you along” is a reference to JJ Cale’s song “Cocaine”. Duh only about 14 years late lol
Heard this passing the crack pipe around the room....hit my gut, heart n head with a huge fkn bang....have t touched a drug since. 8 yrs clean and this is my go to song. Huts hard though.....
Add on the word crack to a song some day for me lol I got a tattoo on my throat' that says not a crack user with nice colours with happy face in the letter O... I really enjoy listening to your song ..Its cool ...It help me out by getting motivated and inspire ...
*recommended for you* damn fuckin rights it is. I haven't heard this song in years and I can't believe I hadn't downloaded to my playlist yet.....thanks youtube.
These guys were wicked awesome and had the opportunity to make it huge with a Musical Guest spot on The Letterman show. Unfortunately one of them couldn't hide there drug habit for the live televised set.....
this is your tastes. You're not better than those people who think that metal is sh*t. You would be amazed by the great music made by "that computer genereted crap" .
+Conor Power That is weird! It's quite the opposite for me. It's kind of a dreamy feeling, perfectly in sync with me! Not too many songs have this effect on me, so I'm making a playlist of the ones that hit me on that certain level.
There is cocaine in every province every state every country. Maybe Novia Scotia just doesn't have any good coke? I am in ontario and our shit is good. I am a cocaine cowgirl 2023❤
Most underrated, underplayed rock song ever! what a solo, you can feel they were just in a groove at the end! wow!!!!
All of Matt’s albums are 🔥🔥
When this was released I remember this got a lot of airplay on FM96 in London for years. Definitely underrated. One of my favourites.
This brings me back to my edgy high school/college days of chasing crazy ass chicks

One of the best rocks songs of all time and I've been following rock music since mid 1960's.
And you're from Halifax....

Thanks for serving our country, lnewlfe!

I saw these cats warm up for the Black crowes in Calgary in 2006. Blew my mind. The Crowes loved them too. So fun. Real music times

Yep, forever.
Not long ago we used to have radio that would play stuff like this. Not much anymore.
Interestingly, I've just learned of this song recently as the rock radio station I listen to while driving seems to have resurrected it (I only moved to Canada in 2018). Now, if they'd do the same for new acts as they do for the old nostalgia bands, we could have a thriving rock scene once again!
I remember hearing this on the radio for the first time back in 2006. Its been a favorite ever since. 99.3 the fox rocks.

Loved this song and see the relevance to it now.
That white Falcone doesn't look so huge being played by a guy whos talent is just as huge. The coolest musician of my generation. Time stands still for this song. Matt just drives on in style.

Great song but the vibes run counter-sync to my inner idle, weird....
+Conor Power That is weird! It's quite the opposite for me. It's kind of a dreamy feeling, perfectly in sync with me! Not too many songs have this effect on me, so I'm making a playlist of the ones that hit me on that certain level.

There's no cocaine in Nova Scotia. This story is false.
There is no dark side on the moon really...matter of fact, it's all dark.
There is cocaine in every province every state every country. Maybe Novia Scotia just doesn't have any good coke? I am in ontario and our shit is good. I am a cocaine cowgirl 2023❤
