    Absolutely love this episode Lila. Single man at the age of 29 but haven't given up hope on being married one day and have a family. I would say I am not afraid of women divorcing me as this man has said, but more that I am inadequate of being a father or a husband. God willing, he will change my mind and bring a good wife into my life.

      Why do you feel inadequate? I sense low self-esteem here. If you believe in God, do what's right, you have love in your heart and you are hard-working and responsible then you're ok. You don't have to be superman despite society being quick to tell young men they're inadequate.

    I met my husband at 19, we moved in together after 3 months. I’m now 32 and we have two beautiful kids together. Our son was 3 and our daughter was 1 at our wedding. They’re now 7 and 5 and we’ve been together almost 14 years. You can be completely faithful to someone without marrying them, but I will admit it’s probably rare and I got really lucky ❤

    • @OpenMawProductions
      @OpenMawProductions Před rokem +3

      I'm so glad that happened.
      But yes, statistically you're going against the odds. As Jordan Peterson said "A woman isn't a car, you should not "test them out."" Marriage is more than just a declaration of unity. At least, it used ot be more. It is statistically true that couples that live together before marriage are actually much more likely to divorce.

      "You can be completely faithful to someone without marrying them" Nah I think God knows better than you otherwise he wouldn't have given the 10 Commandments and Jesus Christ (God Incarnate) would not have reiterated that sexual relations outside of marriage is lust.

      Definitely a 1 in a million type of situation.

    • @murozman
      @murozman Před rokem +1

      Where in the bible does it say sexual relations out of marriage are sinful? I don't think the bible says that at all.
      I don't think this lady or her husband are at any fault all. They made a commitment to each other, love each other and took care of each other. They seem to have a lovely family and did not just exploit each other for "lust".
      The traditional church has made up a lot of myths, probably for good cause to keep people in check. Jesus commands us to love one another. That is the key.
      I myself am celibate for moral reasons and I do not believe in sleeping with a woman that I do not intend to spend the rest of my life with and love and marry. This is not from biblical commands to do this but due to the understanding of depletion of pair-bonding ability in women (and to a lesser extent men too) due to casual sex. Out of love, I choose not to add to the problem.

    • @Tyrannosaurus_5000
      @Tyrannosaurus_5000 Před rokem

      @@murozman "You can be completely faithful to someone without marrying them" she said. That undermines the very quality of marriage that rendered it the foundation of society both in pagan Roman culture and in Christian Europe. All you Modernist libertarians and 'anti tradition' christians are definitely adding to the problem. "Lust" and "adultery" are not concepts that were 'made up' by the 'traditional church.' Are you kidding me? You must be wholly ignorant of the prophetic literature of the Old Testament as well as the entire ethics on marriage that runs consistently throughout the New Testament! Besides that, the best pagan Greek philosophers condemned both as a form of vice/depravity, as did the Hebrew scriptures and New Testament. Morozman you need to learn some things and not just from Joe Rogan but actually familiarize yourself with the intellectual and religious 'tradition' that built high Eastern and Western European culture (before making asinine claims about it).

    Lila Rose, thank you for all you’re doing to build up the kingdom of God. So glad Zuby brought up the need for a Children’s Rights Movement. Along with contraceptive and gender ideology, divorce ideology is truly barbaric. As an adult child of divorce whose parents divorced when I was 3, I can say with full confidence divorce is murder to the human soul. The crosses many of us carry such as CPTSD, severe anxiety and depression, chronic illness, etc. are crosses that are sometimes carried for the rest of our lives here on earth. Maybe you can do a video on the affects of divorce one day to help bring awareness!

    So interesting! I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I’d like to mentioned that “travel” is a term that doesn’t guarantee you’ll know or understand the living of the people of the nation you’re traveling. For example, I’ve come from Cuba and since it’s a communist country, the dictatorship shows the tourists a “reality” totally different from the truth. So, a lot of tourists don’t understand the real deal and it’s hard to understand even if you live there for a while. So, in my opinion, traveling doesn’t always give you a truth that allows you to compare your reality with another one.

    I have many friends who do not know I voted for Trump or that I am on a journey of finding God and Jesus. I always find it fascinating how they can spew their opinions so openly and confidently, assuming everyone believes the same thing, but I feel like I have to self censor from fear of rocking the boat or having them see me differently. I actually love debate and feel confident in my ability to articulate my beliefs, but some people have such a limited belief system that I know it is not worth engaging with them about these topics because they won’t be interested in actually understanding why I believe what I believe. They will just default to their narrow minded bias that all Trump supporters or Christians are the exact same and should be demonized. It’s a mindset that keeps us divided as enemies because these people don’t want to understand. I have always been someone who seeks to understand why someone believes what they believes or acts in a certain way because human behavior intrigues me, but so many people don’t want to understand because they have been convinced that we truly are the enemy and to see things differently would shatter their very fragile worldview. And some people actually seem to like having enemies. It’s easier to blame and deflect rather then think and understand. Thankfully my new journey has me attracting Christian’s like crazy for the first time in my life. It’s definitely by God’s hand and has opened a beautiful new chapter in my life.

    1:00:39. Right there. I can only speak for myself and this is spot on. People conflate being disagreeable with hate. I would like to get married and intend to but the reality of a man's world is you don't even have the luxury of being selected unless you have something to show for. Problem is once you do then there are more risks than incentives. Life is a risk in general, so being aware of this marriage is still on the table for me. But that is precisely why all the more reason I take it serious and will not just do it for some social expectation or a rationalized personal requirement.
    I don't hate women or a monogamous marriage, far from it. But I do hate the reality of being an NPC character that is disposable on a whim. The difference is that I accept it and maximize my potential. So, once again on the contrary like most other men, we love women but they don't love us without a checklist of conditions. This is probably the wrong demographic to approach on this channel but hopefully this provides some insight.
    On a less serious note, I just started your book and find it engaging and insightful.

    On a similar note to the last 1/3 of this podcast and related to the idea of a children's rights movement, I think a lot of conservatives are largely sheltered from the kinds of horrific things that children (who most of the time end up becoming liberals and/or lgbt) go through, and thus do not take mental health of children/young adults seriously. On the milder, more widespread end poverty and divorce have lasting negative impacts on their mental health, as does social media and a school system that promotes alternative lifestyles as the ideal. But I've often met people who'd tell me stories involving things like being molested by family members/neighbors, family members ending themselves, being raised by someone other than their parents because their parents were drug/alcohol addicts or in and out of jail, or worse. I met someone who was raised by his older brother (he was the youngest) because his parents were severe alcoholics, and the day he turned 18, his brother ended his life. And conservatives often act completely confounded "why does no one want to marry/why is the birth rate so low?" while at the same time are completely sheltered from the types of upbringings that a significant enough portion of the youth has that make me say "no 💩?"

    I know because I went to a college with a lot of foreign students, and students that had moved to America and were first generation. Their test scores and accomplishments were about the same or slightly less impressive than mine, and their economic status was higher than mine (I didn’t qualify for a Pell grant by like $5,000) and they had full rides on merit grants, where I didn’t get a dime of financial aid outside loans - which aren’t financial aid. They are debt slave traps set for native born Americans, especially lower middle class Americans. Traps set by our own government, while it hands out freebies to the rest of the world.

      It's how I did it. My wife and I's first kiss was at the alter. Sure, on a physical level, it was hard to wait for sex, but on an emotional level, it was a no brainer.
      If I had initiated sex before marriage, it would have destroyed the foundation of trust that we were building together.
      10 yrs, 2 kids, and a very happy sex life later, I have no regrets.
      BUT, we both have parents who are still together, we both have a strong faith in Jesus, and we both have put a lot of work into growing as a man, woman, and couple.
      I could see how it might not make sense to someone coming from a different background or set of values. But know this: you bring something VERY POWERFUL into play when you save sex for marriage.

    Women are so tone deaf about issues that affect men even if a woman is not raging feminist lunatic, which she is not she seems to be a nice lady who was raised well with good morals, and good family, yet she is till not able to get over her female solipsism of only seeing things from the female perspective. It is difficult to watch. He literally tells her that 70% of divorces are initiated by women (the number is actually between 70-80%, and it goes to 90% if a woman is college educated, it is a shit show) , and her response is, well choose better. Are you serious?
    She speaks as someone who thinks that men are compelled to get married or that they have to get married, but no, this is why marriage is way, way down: because women know what a bad deal marriage is to men and they simply don't give a shit. They still expect men to go to the world make something of themselves and sign a contract with a woman where she incentives to break and take half his shit, and more often than not lose his kids. Women just don't care.
    Also she points to the fact that people who co-habitate are more likely to get divorced, but she fails to realize that most men co-habitate because they don't want to get married, and most importantly men who co-habitate are having more sex than men who are married, actually studies show that married men get the least amount of sex of all men. This too plays a part as to why men are not getting married, she obviously don't care about this.
    And her example about the possibility of divorce with comparison to a chance of getting a heart attack I found this to be out right disingenuous, because you don't get a heart attack because of a decision that someone else made.Also heart attack deaths in the US are 1 out of every 5 deaths that s 20% of all deaths. And the full death rate in the US is 1% of the population (around 1,043.8 deaths per 1000,000 people). And so the death rate from heart attacks is 0.25% of the entire population. So this is not even close to being compared to divorce rates which affects 50% of the respective population size. It is a bull shit argument and disingenuous at best. She is basically full of shit.
    Women simply just care about themselves, even conservative women. Also another thing is that conservative women are divorcing their husband at roughly the same rate as liberal women,
