I might’ve been 2 years old when this movie came out, but when I grew up in the 90s, I remember my friends and I having a crush on Andrew McCarthy. He’s still dreamy to this day.
In his memoir he said that he suffered a lot of anxiety and always felt like he didn’t belong. He drank a lot to mask his fears and had probably had drinks before this interview. But the way he describes himself in his memoir he sounds like he was pretty shallow during his acting heyday tbh.
he's a bit pretentious and pseudointellectual, but more eloquent and intelligent than andrew, while andrew comes off bit of a naive simpleton who doesn't know how immature he sounds. neither of them are very self-aware but both of them are self-conscious. i think rob is embarrassed and annoyed by andrew's random, excited interruptions, when he attempts to finish his sentence or add to what rob is trying to say, when in truth he doesn't understand what rob means at all.
@@punkbjork Andrew McCarthy was pretty shallow. He is lucky that he had the career that he did. He was never a good actor but somehow got parts that fit his aloof vapid personality. He was drunk much of the time and he was trying to mimic Montgomery Clift. It’s amazing that he got as far as he did before Hollywood realized he was an empty suit.
Andrew McCarthy is just so beautiful.
Rob is way more beautiful!!!
For real 😭😭😭
you see who he is sitting next to, yes??
I agree funny how we look at Andrew while everyone else is looking at rob lol
Rob is strange looking or just not my type … Bobbie seems to like Rob better
Andrew McCarthy was always my favorite Brat Pack member
He smiles and locks eyes and licks lips he's a natural flirt
Rob Lowe is the perfect male beauty. He was more beautiful than most of his female co-stars.
Oxford blues and st Elmos fire ...2 movies I could watch over and over again ...lol

They both is so handsome & James Spader 😍
So handsome and cute ❤❤❤
Bobbie Wygant, the interviewer, just recently passed away. She was the Entertainment reporter in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for eternity.
Rob Lowe was such a pretty boy.
'How did you cope with the embarrassment?' 🤣
his eyes, omg who ever married him is a lucky lady
Although Andrew held his own, it seems he wants this interview to be over with. Out of his comfort zone.

rob lowe is more articulate than andrew mccarthy but I find andrew so sweet
He is very well spoken.
The difference between being a well-seasoned actor and someone who's just getting started.
Rob definitely looks like he's got eyeliner on
He’s got spots
Que chicos tan guapos y talentosos, otros tiempos.
The original "Cougar" flick.

@@jedijones Stand corrected.
Am I the only one that noticed Robs not wearing shoes?
Neither was Andrew hehe
@@selenamarino5203 Got a foot fetish eh Selena lol
Andrew reminds me a bit of Paul McCartney
Robert Hepler Lowe (Charlottesville, Virginia, 17 de marzo de 1964), conocido como Rob Lowe, es un actor de cine y televisión estadounidense.
Rob Lowe reminds me of Paul walker but with brown hair . Andrew reminds me of Tom cruise
Andrew much more like a discount Michael J. Fox.
The cameraman must have had a thing for Rob Lowe the way he kept zooming un for closeups
Who doesn't?
Nostril hair fetish.
Rob Lowe's mouth has changed over the yrs. I think he may have nerve damage on right side of his mouth
He speaks differently now

Hutton and McGovern would have been good in “Hotel New Hampshire.” They look like siblings.
They act like it's a big movie. I never heard of it and it apparently was a big flop, LOL.
Someone fire the cameraman for all the UNNECESSARY ZOOMS!
So bizarre how the interview was patched together. Her outtakes at the end are cringey! LOL
haha LOL
Why are they both barefoot?
What a weird interviewer. Cringe! Andrew & Rob just babies. So sweet to see them ally in their career.
Im just here from Phil Hartman' snl Sassy sketch
What’s it called?
@@deniserodas6848 idk search for Phil Hartman sassy
So very...SASSY.
What a weird interview...and that cameraman was terrible.
wow they are only teenagers
I think Rob is 19, Andrew is 21
@@kiranolan7104 yes and Alan Ruck was 27 in that movie but playing a 17-18 year old and pulling it off!
At the time of filming Lowe was still 18 and McCarthy was 19
Wait. What happened to Rob's beauty mark?
It was only in this interview so it was probably a zit or a cut.
This just goes to show that entertainment television is total BS.
Rob Lowe is so competitive. He looks at Andrew like STFU.
