It is a real shame that they are developing Koh Rong. What makes it such a nice place is that it is not over developed. I went 5 years ago and the only way to get around was walking or boat.
I know, I guess it's for development it's just a shame the raw and peacefulness of the island is split and will only get more crowded form now on

Agreed! I was there 9 years ago and it felt so hidden and raw in a way. I worked there and had to climb up the hill and dig for water 😂

Hello friends ! You have seen the nice beaches of koh rong , but can you imagine , that I have seen nearly nice beaches 40 years ago around phuket Thailand ! With my own speedboat I have visitet koh racha many times , and we had this island allways for us alone ! Today is there on this nice beach a 5 star hotel and every day visited in the high season 50 and more tourist boats for a day trip koh racha ! How looks koh rong in 10 years , if a chinese investment company find koh rong also very nice ??? What you can do , behold this super nice island in your hearts ! The time is coming , that we can see such nice islands in our dreams , or in our old videos !!!

I think it's safe, obviously have to be careful like you would anywhere in the world. But Koh Rong especially felt SUPER Safe!
