Damn fine hat, and I picked it up for a song because my buddy ordered it for a guy through his bait shop, and he never came to pick it up. STETSON makes a GREAT 100% Wool crushable "wolf" hat. Bought mine at "SEWE" in Charleston S.C many years ago & never regretted it. ( maybe your daughter should rep them )
I bought mine a year and a half ago and a local store and it's made out of wool it's crushable comes in seven different colors I paid $79 time taxes done $100 more by now North Idaho there on line too

I love these style hats and have a couple. I have never had a felt hat though. My problem is they get so dang hot. I take the hat off and my head and hair are ringing wet. Question is do these hats have vents and are they hot?
Curious if you have modified the hat for extra ventilation. Love the look of the hat. Am really curious about overheating your head when it gets hot. Know that you are an expert on that Blackie. Do you do anything special when it gets hot to keep your noggin from getting too hot?

mine has small side vents and what i do in summer heat is wet my hat and let it evaporative cool my head
