#ForzaMotorsport #Forza - Hry
It's deffinately a step in the right direction to make Forza less washed-out. I went through my previous gameplays on Xbox Series X to make this comparison. I also noted from which updates are specific videos. Patch notes says that gamma change happened on all platforms, but I checked videos made on PC and I wasn't able to notice anything.
For real, I wondered why the game didn't look "crisp". This is definitely an improvement though.
Colors are still washed out some and the shadows are too dark, but adjusting the gamma, definitely added a bit more saturation to the colors and made the game look a little better. I wish they would make better decisions with their color choices because the grass looks so dead. GT7’s grass looks a lot nicer and saturated, even if it’s not always true to real life.
You don't understand colour, brightness and gamma then.
PC games tend to auto adjust gamma to your monitor, especially after an update. So try resetting the gamma in settings and adjust it to your liking.
Yes, I played this game and I was not impressed by the dull looking graphics / colors. No contrast, washed up colors, etc. This definitely makes the game more visually appealing and crisp.
3:14 , 4:05 and 6:26 the big diferences... 7:54 big diferences in the shadows
It’s getting closer and closer to what the reaves trailer looked like!
Now all we need is raytraced global illumination, full raytraced reflections, completely different tonemapping and color correction, higher quality shaders, more parallax mapped track textures, and detailed grass.
Baby steps.
Haha guess they only need 3 years more of development time and a more powerful Xbox to reach that promo trailer.
Colours are more realistic now but material texture still need to be worked on
Yeah true but it's a step in the right direction
@@ld9387they had 7 years 😂
@@ld9387 6 years of development
GT7 is hundreds of steps ahead on this issue
@@mute1259GT7 is crap as well. Nothing special about it, it’s clinical and boring. The only thing that stands out looking good are the cars. The track detail is shit, the driving model and realism is average, the feel of speed is shit, the car sounds are average, the career is shocking, the ffb on wheel is crap and lacks detail/realism compared to game such as Assetto Corsa and even Project cars. The games way overhyped and over rated. Spends more time on talking bollocks in the cafe than it does being a real racer.
It looks a lot less gray to me.
Yeahh the grey thing is caused by poorly offset gamma. Now you see less grey which means better gamma, shadow should be dark and black not washed out piece of crap like before the update
so for all this time we weren't just "seeing things" and FM was legitimately that desaturated and gray, truly wonderful
Were you seeing things?? 😂
It was easily noticeable but 99% of people don‘t work witj color so they didnt know
@@freddiecunningham2860 I know I wasn't when I said the game is desaturated and gray
Jesus, you're everywhere.
@@1eyepaul I'm living inside your walls
I wish the sky and grass were more vibrant but it’s definitely an improvement
I uploaded a PC mod back in October that basically achieved the same thing. Glad to see the devs catching up lol.
Put your ego back into the box and lock it away bub.
@@sevionus80 Found the T10 dev
How do you learn to reverse engineer these games to mod them, As a Software Development beginner it sounds like witchcraft
@@toptierdiscordmod7806 With most of my mods, I didn't need to reverse engineer anything really. It's usually just the case of editing an XML file. In this instance, I found the file which had the tonemapping and bloom settings of the game and just tweaked it. Nothing much to it. I suspect the actual devs edited that same file for this update.
There are some true wizards out there who can actually reverse engineer a game and create tools to modify all sorts of behaviour and stuff in the game. I actually have no idea how they do it lol.
@@talal26 You wish.
Definitely now colors are more vibrant. Looks better.
Good lord, they should've been done this on early updates that's why almost everything in Forza Looks Washed up .
Oh, finally. Now they just need to fix the paint job, add a decent career mode, fix the lame engine sounds, add the tracks missing from FM7, and maybe we could have a decent game.
some tracks needs to rework too becuz some tracks were just copy paste from FM7 (i believe thats what some people said but for me they werent realistic as real life tracks for example Nürburgring. Some games did pretty well job while FM is just not the same)
The engine sounds are the biggest issue. I like the way the cars handle and there are aspects of the game I like. But the copy and paste engine sounds are disgusting. Along with a very boring career. But same goes for gran turismo, that’s an awful career mode too. Games seem to have forgotten how to make career mode fun.
@@zaidenRYUZAKIyeah, after specifically promising a rescanned and remade nordschleife, because they knew the FM5 model was quite inaccurate, they just copy pasted it anyway.
Seat adjustment, radar, and improved AI. Then maybe I will install it back. Unbelievable what a clusterfuck this game is. And that muppet Esaki...fucks sake...Pozdro666
I've honestly enjoyed the visuals more recently, but it is still only certain times of the day for me, like just barely after sunset to early morning, and doing evening til night. I can not find it in me to like the visuals during clear to partly cloudly skies when playing at noon to late afternoon.
Even with the little positivity I just gave, there is still nothing that makes this game photo realistic. Car models, especially, need a lot of work. So many of them need to be redone. A lot of the materials on cars are done badly too. And a lot of the blacks on cars definitely need to be worked on as well.
I say it still needs a tad more contrast also. I would like it if they increased the grass density to how it looked in the trailers. I mean, it's one of the things they bragged about, yet it looks almost flat. 🤷♂️ The little amount of visible grass that is there, blends in with the green textures on the flat grass.
But yes, it has improved a little bit. Still has a LONG way to actually look good, in my opinion...or "realistic" for that matter. Again, my opinion...
I always thought that Forza looked great at launch, but with the Didge Viper, you can't even make out the stripes in the launch version.
The yellow @ Laguna Seca 0:35, 5:07 red at Hockenheim, 5:43 and lime green at Suzuka look like completely different colors now, more accurate to what you'd expect. Colors always looked washed out before and gamma is so important to that. It was always strange that some creator footage on CZcams looked washed out at launch, meanwhile official Forza launch videos and Forza Monthly's looked fine. Someone at Turn10 finally noticed. Its a shame something so simple took 6 months to fix though.
Finally i didnt see the road before this happened
Makes a big difference actually.
More crisp and colored, i liked
Is it a Gamma fix tho or did they just tone down the absurd lens flare effect? 3:10
If it were the gamma wouldn't we see the difference everywhere? Instead it's unnoticeable in almost all other scenarios. Maybe they did both and the gamma is very subtle?
0:40 is very interesting as well. Thanks for the video and the effort put into it!
how does it compare during the night ?
nice one, thanks for the comparison!
I hope they fix the grip levels on LMP and Formula 1 cars. Absolutely no reason why an LMP car should oversteer while cornering at max speed. The tire grip and downforce should keel the car planted if anything it should understeer if going to fast.
Paint jobs still need a lot of work to do, especially the glossy ones.
How so?
More or less, yes
@@fifteen8850nope. Forzas rendition of paintwork is better than any other car game out there. Easily.
@@nihilityjoey Faaaaaaaaar behind Gran Turismo 7's and even NFS Unbound's, ironically enough. Everything looks incredibly flat and overall innacurate by comparison.
Even EA WRC - which is far from a graphical marvel - has better looking paints.
Hell they even took a huge step back from Forza Motorsport 7 which is, y'know, its predecessor.
@@nihilityjoey forza is lack of depth
I suppose if they keep updating the game little by little it will eventually become a product worth buying.
It would've been worse if the devs abandoned it
Obviously
Man, This is very Ironic. It's either the dev of Forza were lazy or making a game with today's graphic fidelity standard is Difficult.
@@natecollins9331 It's both.
Welp, u know what happened to fm7 right? Lol
You think about if it's worth buying? Think about the time we waste hoping for it to get good. There's way more to life to worry about a mid game
You have to play it and the replays are better too!
It’s looks a little bit better - finally
Does this game run properly yet? I playing forza 7 at 4k max settings 144fps yet get like 12 in the new one with ps1 style graphics
Not only the gamma, they also fixed the wrong materials on cars. The game looks amazing after update 7.
Still a shit load of wrong materials on cars...
@joescivic of course I didn't look at every car,the ones I looked was wrong previously now fixed. Can you give me some examples?
@@cenktheangelI can either send you to the actual Forza page in their forums section that has cars known issues for a big list of each car in separate threads, or I can tell you to look near the bottom of my community post on my channel for a good example of one of my real life cars.
Every time I leave a comment, it gets removed. I'm not saying it is you. CZcams is extremely sensitive, or this guy's channel is super sensitive or something. Nothing I said was rude, cussing, or anything. Just saying where you could see what I mentioned. If this comment is removed too, I'll just list everything wrong with my real life cars materials in Forza. If that gets removed, I'll probably stop commenting on his videos because this is ridiculous. It's a friendly comment, yet yesterday, I literally had someone cussing at me and calling me names, and my nicer replies would be removed. Doesn't make sense.
The 2018 Civic Type R:
The front grille, eyelids, and the front bumper vents on the driver and passenger side, the window pillars, the rear driver side and passenger side vents and part of the bumper, should ALL be dark black and glossy. FM has them grayish brown, and when zoomed in, it has a rough cement-like texture. Even the black plastic behind the front fender vents should be a dark black. This piece in real life isn't glossy though. FM has it a grayish brown again. Almost forgot about the spoiler. That top part and lower deck is also a dark black glossy look. The game makes it grayish brown as well.
The front lip, rear lip, and side skirts are just a black plastic material that has a weave-like texture and it is rough to the touch. FM made it actual carbon fiber, and also gave it a clear coat. Each of these parts also has a red pin stripe that goes all around the car, but FM made the side skirts have a white pin stripe. The white also extends into the inside of the front wheel wells.
The front amber reflectors are a brighter orange-ish (or amber really). FM makes them brownish orange. The rear deflectors on the supposed-to-be black vents should be a bright red, except they're hard to see in FM and like a brownish red. Not exactly a material issue, but a color issue there.
The back of the front seats are not real carbon fiber and not clear coated either. In FM, they made it real carbon fiber with clear coat. The engine cover is the exact same material as the back seats, but again, in FM, they made it real carbon fiber.
Interior trims on all door panelsand the dash are not real carbon fiber either, nor clear coated and perfectly smooth. Yet again, FM made it a clear coated carbon fiber.
There is an option to make the interior trims real carbon fiber for plenty of extra money at the dealership, but that isn't what Turn10 did with their version of this car. The dealership option is a red carbon fiber. T10 just did what they do for a lot of cars that has a weave-like texture, or dry fake carbon fiber, and by being lazy, they just slap on some real carbon fiber to it.
Great video, i hope they build on this.
Better but why is the bright vignette still there at night races? Why do you do that. That takes all the darkness from the sky. The only problem is with HDR.
oh wow. six months later they are discussing the contrast differences, which they should have been fix on the day of release.
Looks fantastic on iPad Pro. See huge difference
I can't find any of the previous patch gameplay on your channel for any of these cars.
Yeah this patch was out weeks ago, and I've checked the gamma change. That dodge you have where there is a BIG difference in the racing stripes. That doesn't happen with the patch that's just been released. The change in gamma wouldn't have that type of added detail to it. Something ain't right here

Is this game worth buying that its on sale rn? Cant seem to pick between Le Mans Ultimate and this game
Two different types of racing games. One is full sim, with content dedicated to WEC and using steering wheel is HIGHLY recommended. The other, is a simcade with more cars and tracks than the first one, but you don't need steering wheel to play it.
I've been doing this with reshade on the PC version. Still shocking that Ams2 looks 100 times better.
AMS2 is made by people that actually care and are passionate.
Melhorou bastante
Took them so long to fix this wow. At least it's finally "correct" colors
Finally...
pretty good
whats up with your viper? why does it have that ghosted double stripes lol
No idea. Best part is that only yellow paint is affected by this 'feature' lol
Um lado está mais escuro 🤔
Looks far better, but they really need to work on a lot of the cars engine sounds and that sh*tty animation when the driver shifts using the gearnob..
Agreed! Half the time the hand misses the shifter! 😂🤦♂️
Now if they release a patch to remove the vacuum sounds and make it not suck, we'll be all set.
Looks good
Why didn't they do this in the first place?
At least they’re trying 🤷🏻♂️
Still doesn't look like the game we were promised in the advertisements
it's because they captured it with Ray tracing global illumination
and that's not possible on consoles I guess so I don't think we can see that until the next gen which is aparently coming in 2026
@@landontorres1054That doesn't excuse why the PC version still doesn't match the press release either. 🤔 Bullshots all around!
@@landontorres1054 it doesn't really matter?
What about in the rain?
Precipitation is probably the same. No idea about gamma.
pity the race regs are botched. ie get hit from behind and you get slapped with the penalty. similar to Ricciardo and Stroll in China instead Riccardo gets the penalty or is T10 trying to change world motorsport rules that the car in front needs to avoid the car behind slamming into them :-). Seriously T10 you need to fix this rather that Gamma tweaks.
So it took them 7 updates to move the gamma slider back by a notch?
It’s been build from the ground up
They actually had to build that gamma slider from the ground up to use it.
nice now fix the rest of the game (70%)
Fucking finally
What about DLSS? It's rendering like shit, even in Q mode!
Now they just need to fix the sound make it more realistic like the on gt has
no difference, they've just fixed lens flares
They MUST fix black paint on cars!
And the crashes 🤯🤯🤯
Build from the ground xd
But in which update will they add a good game?
Oh that's just funny lmao.
I prefer the older shadows, however the increased saturation is definitely welcomed.
Looks more like an Early Xbox One Game rather than an Early Xbox 360 One Now... but it still VERY poor Texture, Material and Color Depth Wise.. I only but hope PGG has had the Good sense to make FH6 on the Old (FM5-FH5) Engine, for at least it actually Works!
Now they should do the same in fh5
Oh boy, they fixed something relatively small that should've been in the release game 6 months ago...
Can't tell a difference
I don’t see any differences what is the comparison
It still has horrible sounds and is overall a soulless game
Don't mention car sounds. There are people here who think they're amazing. Then they'll use a real life video in their defense of a car which is modified as saying it is accurate to Forzas car sound. Lol. Thus proving that the sound is off since they had to use a modified car for the sound of Forzas stock version 🤦♂️
@@joescivic 100% true. It's such a shame what they did to Forza Motorsport, the biggest disappointment from turn10.
@yak-machining They used to seem more passionate about these games in the past. It is a shame. I'll keep playing it as they keep updating it, but as of right now, it still has plenty of issues.
BTW, my other comment was something someone did to me. 😂😂😂 Using a modified car in their defense, saying Forzas sound is correct. Talking about my real life car as if I wouldn't know how it sounds...
Forza early version game copied Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 2 movie color grading. Everything is greyed out.
What the difference
Please fix the sounds
Basically, it looks a bit more like GT7 now lol. Which is a good thing
Kind of but still off
Looks better, main issue for me is the grass colour. It's weird and ugly and very colourless at times.
I wonder who approved of this game mess it surely needs more time to be released?
bUiLt fRoM tHe gRoUnD uP xD
Well, deep down I think this game will be decent in 6 months despite its developpement hell and beyond abysmal team management & communication (next track Monza.. I know they will do this BS)
Now they need to sort out the headlights in night racing, they’re horrendous and way too overpowering, the lights reflecting off other cars almost look like they’re neon. Then they need to increase saturation a bit on the greens and sky. Not much but just a little. Then they need to optimise the game better and sort the dlss issues out with it not working or making any difference at all. And most importantly they need to sort the absolutely abysmal car sounds out.
🙄
@@nihilityjoey don’t be blind to obvious issues just because you’re a fan boy. At least I’ve given the game a chance unlike many.
@@ESKATEUKWhy do people like you INSIST on talking rubbish? To be fair I'm glad I don't get the amount of interactions on my videos like here. It's a chore just reading your rubbish. Dude I will make a comparison of real head lamps compared to forza and gt, and I can GUARANTEE the headlamps in forza project their light more realistically. You might want to find out what type of lighting each game is using.
Now let's see if the fanboys say it looks less realistic with more vibrant colors. I believe the general propaganda from the fanboys was that the washed out or hazy look is what makes it super realistic.
Lol. This is the first thing that crossed my mind. The fanboys that originally hated on vibrant colors being too fake and bla bla bla. I see a little vibrance difference, but not much.
Honestly, some vibrancy is more realistic to me. More contrast would be better. I also don't see the real world looking like it does in FM. It's like the air in FM is thicker, or dirty or something. I honestly don't see this where I live. T10 added some "cool" effects, but to me, that's all they are. Just for this 'cool" factor. Cool to look at during certain times of the day in the game, but not so realistic to me.
Are you smoking? The colour depth or saturation, doesn't change because you fix the gamma. Utter CLOWNS on here.
@@joescivicYou are a fanboy.
Apparently the world is washed out in their eyes.
@nihilityjoey Nah. Just disappointed in what the game I'm a bigger fanman of (FM) has delivered.
I love the high contrast look of Forza MotorSport 4 or realistic graphics of Forza MotorSport 5
not this
I really don’t see a difference 🤷🏿♂️
There is a difference, you can see the contrast is better on the right Side and that's it, car components and materials (Graphics) don't change or improve.
Watch it on a tv.
Get your eyes checked
Use a HDR Display, the Right hand side just *Pops* now on HDR!
Only a gamma correction. Their paint shader is still piss poor.
Even the car materials need to be improved
@@olavofernandes7286not really tbh, they’re pretty good imo
My own comparisons, and proof from real life, says otherwise.
@@fifteen8850no they are not, they are so many cars that looks lite garbage,
@fifteen8850 What about how stainless steel exhausts or muffler tips look like chromed out tacky looking plastic? Shouldn't that count as material looking bad?
Or what about wheels looking like plastic? Hell, sometimes grayish or silver wheels turn chrome once they start spinning. Sometimes black wheels will turn chrome when they spin. But honestly, the material of the wheel itself on most cars, look straight up like plastic.
What about certain cars that have SEVERAL glossy black parts, like bumper vents and grills, or eyelids, window pillars, spoilers, etc, but the game has them grayish brown and if you look close enough, it has a rough cement-like texture. I'd count that as a bad representation of material too.
Or how a lot of newer cars with infotainment screens, that should be a dark glossy black with rich colors from the screen, except the game makes it look like an LCD screen?
There's a lot of work this game needs still in order to look up to par for what they claimed it was before launch. Hopefully some day they can capture a photo realistic look after a hundred or so updates.
Oh yeah, and uh, cars with number decals on them, certain ones at least that use that reflective decal, should reflect in light like they do in real life. I haven't seen a single car with reflecting stickers in FM yet. ACC and GT7 has that going on. Not sure if reflecting decals count as material to some, but they do to me.
Not a huge difference
Still looks like soap. What did they do for 6 years ?
Why are people taking about more vibrant colours because of a slight gamma change? If there is one thing I've learned from watching videos like this, is that fanboys are clueless. Changing the gamma does not affect colour saturation and depth. Wow.
Ps5 🙏
Now we're talkin, that looks better
It's better but i uninstalled this game within 30 minutes and don't intend to go back. Worst Forza game by far and i've played them all. Look how long it took just to fix basic gamma. Truly embarrassing. Wasn't even worth pirating. There's no soul and MS are even more incompetent than usual. I'm sure this is largely because so many MS studios are infected by talentless and passionless diversity hires. It happened to Halo first.
