I’d love to see her as Anna in Frozen. She’s got a great voice and kinda reminds me of Patti.
Sarah and Cheyanne I have thought this since I first heard the mean girls soundtrack!!! She would KILL it as Anna!!!!
Oh my gosh yes!!!
Yes!!!!!
I was in a workshop with her and she told us she auditioned for the out of town tryout for Frozen!
i’d LOVE to see her as anna but.. ;(
It’s so nice to hear her sing something other than Mean Girls. She’s so talented and so versatile. Cinderella in Into The Woods? Would die to hear her sing “On the Steps of the Palace.”
Samuel Brown IKR she sounds so much like Anna Kendrick when she sang that first song
Samuel Brown As well as Les Mis too
YES!!!!!!!!!!
Wait now I NEED this
Samuel Brown oMG yes
Petition for Erika to sing more soprano pieces 😍😍
Angelina Seemann I would sign that! 😂🥺😍
She has a Kelli O’Hara quality to her voice and I need them to play mother and daughter now
she has such a beautiful soprano voice, i had no idea!
She needs to play a Disney princess STAT
Emily Grubbs or a sondheim princess please
Hannah Johnson omg yesss!!
All of them, please
She was Belle in our high school production of Beauty & the Beast back in ‘09. There were some videos of it on CZcams, but I think most of them have been taken down...
lady footlocker you go to campo???
she can literally play any character in broadway
Erika's voice is is crystal clear! She has such a flexible voice and it brings me so much joy!
SHE WOULD BE BE THE PERFECT GISELLE IN ENCHANTED
I didn't know I needed this until now, and I thank you for making me realise this.
Whizzer Brown OMG!
OH MY GOD YES
YEEESSSSS!! 💕
YOU JUST DID SOMETHING THERE
she makes high notes seem so effortless. i adore her.
Her voice has some of that "older broadway" style and I love it :)
Definitely would make a great Cathy from the Last Five Years.
Violet Days HOLY CRAP YEAH! I heard it immediately.
Violet Days period!!
YES YES YES PLEASE
I was just thinkin that omg
YES!
Her voice in the second song had me SHOOK but really she could sing the Chinese takeaway menu and I'd be in love

Can’t wait to hear Erika as Charlie in Hazbin Hotel! She’s so good!
Fr
Can we just appreciate the talented piano player in the back?
No, fuck her! Trying to take Erika's glory!
Totally see her playing Sondheim’s Cinderella fr Into The Woods
Jilliane C.B sameeeeeee
Hello soprano voice! That came out of nowhere. She’s so great as Cady Heron but her voice can do so much more. This was so good.
She has such a ‘theatre’ voice in Now You Now, and such a legit sound in the next - someone get me the versatility
petition to cast erika as anna in frozen if it ever becomes a live action movie
With Taylor Louderman as Elsa!!!!!
She should play Anna on frozen broadway she would be epic!!!!!!
I'm really impressed with her legit head voice! It's so beautiful to hear how versatile she is. 💕
love mean girls but I feel like Cady doesn't do her vocals justice like LISTEN 👏🏼 TO 👏🏼 HER 👏🏼
She really just made Sondheim sound easy
Fully seemed as though she was writing those lyrics in her own head on the spot. #ACTRESS
Her classical musical theatre voice is so impressive! What range!
I was hoping she’d do Not Getting Married Today
i LOVE that video of her doing it. she just seems so exited
@@lualburn8885 where can I find that!? I searched for it but I can't find it! 💖
@@meganjones4301 I think she sang a small bit of it in her elevator pitch video
This accompanist? Top notch
Love a good pianist keeping up with that meadowlark tempo (:
yeah the pianist was really legit
She was amazing!
There's something about a classical Broadway song that takes my breath away.
0:45 "Now You Know" Mary Flynn in _Merrily We Roll Along_
2:36 "Somebody, Somewhere" Rosabella in _The Most Happy Fella_
5:08 "Meadowlark" Genevieve in _The Baker's Wide_
ugh, keep coming back to replay 'Somebody, Somewhere'.
Q
Rosabella in TMHF is my classic Bway dream role
okay but she’d be a great anya... just saying!!! 🤷🏻♀️
My thoughts exactly! I need this now!
I never knew I needed this to happen until now
She actually auditioned for Anya, she told me after I said that same thing to her
Yessss please!
I was thinking the same thing! She reminds me of Christy do much here!
Im so excited to see her play Charlie in Hazbin Hotel, shes so good at singing. 😁
Did not KNOW she was a soprano. Amazing.
i was in les mis with her years ago and she played cosette, i missed her soprano singing :,,)
Omg! You got to work with her!? Who did you play?
I LOVE when belters sing legit
The thumbs downs are from bway stars knowing she's coming for their jobs 😂💛
After the first song, I was thinking how well her voice would go with Meadowlark and than she sung it!
I didn't expect her voice to have such a classic theatre quality. This video is probably the perfect letter of recommendation for yourself. She shows off not only her range, vocal abilities and acting skills, but also her excellent musical intuition. I would totally see her play Maria in West Side Story, or even Glinda in Wicked. With a voice like that the possibilities are endless.
PenguinorPanda ‘Maria in West Side Story’ ??????
I'm looking at doing Meadowlark and somebody somewhere for college auditions but I am worried they don't contrast enough. What are your thoughts on it?
@@BIRDWITCHE It depends how you present them. You could sing them quite similarly, but I don't think the songs ask for that approached. They both have very different characters to it and you can definitely highlight that. She probably picked them because they complement her voice, so I guess they go well together. Good luck!
@@ClipsByLaura thank you, that's what I was thinking, but I still was worried I was too close. I can always do a huge dark contrasting monologue that might help my case. This helped me decide, thanks!
maria’s supposed to be played by a latina woman.
I came into the comments and saw everyone talking about Meadowlark. Not knowing the song, I didn’t know what to expect at all.
Overall-
1. Amazing song
2. Awesome performance
3. Well, her vocals were, wow.
we just not gonna talk about how she brought that last note from like a B to an E or somethin my GOODNESS
Does Erika remind anyone else of Laura Osnes?
Ella Hyde yes
yes, she is the one i was thinking of, a new Disney princess,,,or Cosette, Maria in West side story
Ella Hyde omg meeee
@@francotan502 She actually played Cosette!
Ryan Faure I knew it, thanx for the confirmation
oh my god when she sang meadowlark i got chills all over
She has a Sondheim voice if I've ever heard one!
LET HER DO "SHE LOVES ME"
YES! SHE WOULD BE PERFECT!
happy she did this!!! her playing cady is a very VERY big understatement to her actual talents
I think it is so impressive how bold and clear her voice is despite keeping her mouth so closed. I think it is one reason that Erika specifically is so good at fluidly transitioning from her speaking voice to her chest voice.
I noticed that some musical theater singers sing this way, with very little space in their oropharynx. How? And she makes it seem so easy 😮
@@lyssasletters3232 Came her from the Hanna Bayles video and I think its because of the space she keeps in the back of her mouth
okay but when she sang one of the highest notes in the second song I just randomly thought, OMG she could totally play Maria in Sound of Music and absolutely kill it! She would slay any role ever though
I’d love to see her as Cinderella in Into The Woods or Maria in Sound of Music!
The voice she has. Just wow.
And she seems so lovely and down-to-earth, too.
Omg!!! It’s great to hear her not singing Mean Girls, and singing some older musicals instead (although I do love mean girls). She’s just so talented
Honestly. I think Erika is my favorite actress on broadway right now. 😍😍😍
KaylaNoel101 Ikr! I was so lucky I got to see her live
Okay, petition to make Erika Henningsen an official Disney princess😍💕🙌🏻
Or a princess of Hell. ;)
I love her in mean girls and it’s great to hear her sing something different!!
1:54 please appreciate the speaking into singing there like woah
Hi new charlie from hazbin hotel your voice is beautiful :)
I audibly gasped when she chose Merrily We Roll Along music for her first choice
Her mix is glorious.
WE NEED A COVER OF MEADOWLARK PLEASE AVAILABLE ON SPOTIFY AND APPLE MUSIC
hello i am obsessed with her VOICE
Her head voice is amazing, and that last song is just so so beautiful!
She's so talented, like all of these songs are so different and she nailed all of them. So good!
She would be a perfect Mary in Merrily!!
Such an underrated musical tho
The Baker's Wife song is beautiful! I was not familiar until this video. Erika's so talented
Erika has such a gorgeous voice. I’m glad I got to learn some of her dream roles.
If I ever got to ask the HH cast a question at a Q and A, I would want to know all their dream Broadway roles.
Honestly, what can Erika Henningsen not do? She's amazing
I would love to see/hear Lindsay Mendez's Broadway Bucket List if BroadwayBox could get her 🙏🏽
I saw her as Cady in Mean Girls last month and she was SO good!! I really liked her a lot!
Charlie!
I totally see her as Anna, Annya and Cathy.
I’m happy to know about her.
She’s so energetic and positive, it’s infectious.
she’s honestly legit! I can’t even explain how incredible she is
meadowlark is one of my favorite songs and i think erika’s version is now my favorite
wow! What a great selection of songs, and she does them all so well! She was my favorite part of Mean Girls, I think she's so incredible!
I've yet to listen to the Baker's Wife but I will definitely look into it after this stellar performance! I had no idea how much of a soprano Erika was, I love her even more now 💕💕
Erika blew me away in Mean Girls but i’m far more blown away by these songs! Her voice is so beautiful just like her!
She's also my private vocal lesson coach in real life!
YASSS! We stan a classical queen!!!!!!
A master class in auditioning. As you can see by the number of comments from people who want to cast her in other roles. :) Perfection.
Hadn't heard of her before and am now a fan.
Wow “now you know” was amazing like actually amazing (0:46)
Chills with her second song. Wow!!! 😫❤️
wow she is amazing
Such a gorgeous voice! Love her emotion...you can feel those words❤️
I've seen her twice in mean girls and WOW. I could listen to her sing 24/7
i would love to see these in spotify i would never stop listening 👏🏻🤩✨
I got chills just listening to her
I love it
best rendition of meadowlark i’ve ever seen (second is andrew rannells) erika can genuinely sing anything!!!
she has SUCH a good musical theatre voice!!
hi im in love with erika henningsen that’s all
she’s absolutely incredible
Okay, but other than Patti LuPone’s version, I’ve never heard a version of Meadowlark that was this PERFECT!!! Great job Erika!!!
I see her as any Disney princess and definitely a Glinda!
Ok guys so I’m 13 and I got into musicals about 2 months ago and here’s what I’ve figured out so far
We protect Ben platt with our lives
We worship Barrett wilbert weed
He love hamilton
And we don’t stop listening to beetle juice
And also here’s the musicals I’ve listened to so far: dear Evan Hanson, Heathers, Mean girls, Be more chill, Beetlejuice, and a little bit of Hamilton please recommend some more if you know any
😍😍 go listen to In The Heights!! You will fall in love with Lin Manuel-Miranda, I guarantee you. Also, listen to Hadestown!!
And Les Miserables!
I love spring awakening as well! & my fair lady is nice for more classical type songs
Im 13 too! Listen to falsettos and 25th annual putnam county spelling bee 😀
The Drowsy Chaperone, Dogfight, Godspell, Bonnie and Clyde, Catch Me If You Can, Waitress, Sister Act, Songs for A New World... and soooo many more! :)
Her voice is so amazing! Literally a role model
Oh geez, she's so good!! I feel like her voice has improved so much over her career!!!
I love Meadowlark so much and I'd only listened to Patti singing it, and I am in awe of Erika's version. She's amazing
I want her version of Meadowlark on Spotify 😍👏🏻
She is so beautiful!!!
Would've loved to see her as Anastasia on Broadway, I think she would do really well and bring something new to the character. She has this airy, princess aura that Christy Altomare has and I am just realizing it now!
THE VERSATILITY.
This rendition of Now You Know is the most impressive thing I've ever heard. It's like if Elaine Strich and Barbara Cook got combined in a teleportation mishap.
Fun tact: if I remember correctly, the character singing Now You Know (the curtain song in Act One) was a thinly veiled portrait of Dorothy Parker in the original 1934 play.
SHE IS AWESOME!
wow they were all beautiful, but that meadowlark song was amazing
SHE IS INCREDIBLE
