I wish the devs would release worlds with more builds that looked like this instead of all the faux set dressing lots
Maybe in Sims 5 they'll let AI auto-generate the premades. Can't do any worse. Feed the AI a bunch of builds from Better Homes & Gardens and Architectural Digest and sources like that and it could come up with FAR better than we've seen thus far. And it wouldn't cost them any precious manhours.
They really can't. Sims 4 is outdated. They got to make builds under certain requirements to avoid lag and bugs. All those builds with all that stuff could really slow down your game.
It's sad too because in Sims 3 they used to at least add extra floors and such and just leave them empty.

A credit union is a bank, but its customers are called “members” and they usually have some kind of criteria for you to become a member. Members get to vote in some decisions the bank makes, which is awesome and keeps the bank from making risky investments like larger banks might.
Sometimes the criteria for credit union members is having certain jobs. For instance, we have one here in the US for members of the Navy and their families. My mom was also a member with one back when she was a school bus driver. There aren't a lot of credit unions in the US, but they can be nice for those who qualify for them.
It's also great for loans and such.
If you have the bank mod from Simrealist, you can actually use the lot like a real bank.
So basically a small bank for a specific clientele which is more flexible with rules? We don't have those in Europe, at least i think we don't
Credit unions are financial service cooperatives owned by their members, and they operate as non-profit organizations. They’re a fantastic alternative to privately owned big banks.
I love this save file. Willow Creek actually impresses me and I never play in that world lol
Same...I NEVER use Willow Creek and I turned Newcrest into a city center with a bank, movie theatre, strip club and other commercial venues so noone actually lives there. 😂 I tend to put my households in Sulani or San Myshuno. This file is inspiring. It makes me wish I didn't suck at building. 🤣
a savefile that isn't over the top unrealistically perfect, love it.
windbrook and portsim are literally my favourite savefiles, theyre both so good and realistic for gameplay
One of things I miss from TS3 is the ability for your sim to visit the local grocery shop. I know you couldn't enter it with your sim and walkabout, looking at all the shelves, etc, but still it was nice to actually visit it, rather than always get a grocery deliverry.
i absolutely love this save file, especially because it's so realistic! not flash, fancy and modern like many others, but yes, it feels like a lot of it is from the 80s or 90s. so cool!
This save file looks really detailed and perfectly suits my gameplay style. I prefer to purchase/get things through gameplay so having all those retails stores is wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
The streets looking prettier because of the lights is crazy to me. I wish there was a save file where they changed nothing but added some more trees and streetlights in uneditable areas. I use the TOOL mod and love it but, like, I'm waaay too lazy to to that myself lol

I can’t download save files sadly because I’m on console but watching videos like this really inspire me for builds and stories, for instance doing workarounds for multi purpose lots like making a restaurant with the food stalls or even just empty buildings for decoration lol I love this. 💖
I had this on my old computer and the drama in the world is amazing! Two families live in two homes on one lot. It is set up so each family can only go in their own home. A guy has moved in with his buddy and is sleeping in a tent in the backyard! His girlfriend is none too happy with this arrangement!

Really makes me think how we as a Simmers people seem to be "just now" ready for Sims 3 and all of its nuances and complexity. Like it's only recently that it doesn't feel like... too much in your face
I think people loved Ts3 back in the day, the overwhelming majority of players just couldn't run it in it's day towards the end of its life because of how many packs there were and the heavy lag caused by create a style. people were expecting or hopeful that ts4 would retain a lot of the nuance and fine details of ts3 but we got this instead
i think sims 3 was just ahead of its time. like so many games now are open world and way bigger than sims 3 yet run 10x better. i think its downfall was just the fact it was made on old engines back in 2009. they need to remaster it and label it sims 5 tbh.
From one Christmas Gay to another, I totally understand! I live in Eastern Canada and it snows like 4 months out of the year and even still it lights up my whole world.

This! I've always wished that EA would put things in the world if you own a pack. Like restaurants, bowling alleys etc. When I first bought Dine out (I'm a new player, so I wasn't around when it was originally released) I genuinly didn't know that I had to add a restaurant in order to use the pack. And I was so confused when I entered restaurants, why I couldn't order anything. So yeah I definitely wished the Sims team would make their worlds more engaging! Why is it so empty? Why is every towny so empty? No hobbies, skills or any relationships. Like it doesn't make sense at all
Somebody called it a lifeless husk of a game on one of the comments section of a behind the sims, and I couldn't have said it better myself. EA's company ethos is getting away with as little as possible and milking us of as much money as possible.

One time I was playing and the child went to have a swim in winter while I was playing a different household member. And he died. It was so dark to see a kid sim floating facedown in a pool.

Trashy American diners are amazing, no offense taken. If it's named for a single syllable name, like Bob's or Joe's for example, you want to eat there. The same is true for any name ending in "-ann."
Tip: when in rural America, don't rely on Yelp or Google reviews to find good food (few if any reviews, usually). Ask the locals instead.
When in Texas, if it used to be a barn (or was built to look like one) but is now a restaurant, you can trust it to be delicious. Somewhere along hwy290 in Chappell Hill, TX you'll find such an oasis.

Hey sacth I was wondering if you can maybe give some information on how counsel players can create a save file or direct us to someone you might know who can direct players on how to start. And can you elaborate on the part of not playing on your save file? So do we make a two saves of the same file and then play on one after we are done making the worlds. I’m asking because when you explain things or give examples I tend to understand it much better from you than others. 😊

Do saves with builds that use packs that you don't own actually substitute for anything interesting once you've entered a file, maybe run build/buy or live mode, saved, and then restarted the game...
...or is it like I've experienced back when I used Gallery builds with packs I don't own and a bunch of basic, white, basegame furniture gets put down, and also drywall, concrete floors, and arrow decals on the walls...? lol
Also, I really do wonder if you will get a lot of naked, bald sims if you don't own all the packs in a save.
You should make a video about the save file of florwalsims and her savefile "portsim" its really the best, when it comes to realism. love it so much!
I think that random "items removed" thing that happens means that the gallery went offline, so it's not actually removing anything, but... it thinks it is.

I think it would be great if they take all of the spotlight gallery sims and builds and put them in the base game. The builders will get the hashtag. It's not that hard. BTW thanks for telling me about something I never needed to know about. I was eating breakfast. Note to self... not a morning show.
People can already easily replace the buildings with the gallery. The oficial buildings must be tested to not lag in the potatos notebooks.

Nah I always live in Windenburg cause it's the closest thing to northern england in my available packs (and even then it's not that accurate, but the york shambles type builds does suit Windenburg)
I've been having that problem lately where build items have been removed when I have everything as well. Like one lot removed 12 items! It doesn't have cc either 🧐Like wtf is going on? Did they break another thing in this game? 😂😂😂 I'll definitely download this in the future when it's a bit more complete with the rest of the worlds. Also, the best type of diners to go to are the ones that are more themed around the 50s and 60s

I'm about to check out the mod in-game. I'll report back if it can be further modified now that for rent is a little less bugged. Edit: It can! You just have to click on all the seperate rooms to assign them after changing the lot type to rental.

A credit union is sort of like a bank, but it's not-for-profit, and usually catered to unions like fire and police or any other unions, and the union's members. They are generally a little more of a "homey" "bank" that a lot of people stay with for years and years and maybe even generations. For example, my grandparents banked with them and my parents and now my sister and I... For context.
Does that save use some CC ? If you don't have the corresponding CC, then, you'll get the missing content removed message. May also happen if the save use any premium or pre-buy/early-buy item that you don't have.
