Thanks for this tutorial. I just did it on my Svartpilen 401 (2019). For me the only difference was no ruber attached (then no need for high temperature paste) to the cap so I only used rivets to link the 2 parts.

I did this. DB levels is at the exact same average 80decibels before and after. My ears didn't notice any difference as well.
Maybe you didn‘t cut enough! There‘s 100% an difference!
I cut it even shorter than you did. So I expected to be louder but no. Same 80db average
Not sure if it's because of the difference to the construction build of the muffler. I bought the bike here in the Philippines and from I believe they a local plant here.

Und das komplett legal, mir gefällt die Optik von der alten auch deutlich besser. Die hatte noch ein schönes Metallic Schwarz und das Heck war kürzer und hat besser gepasst...

Hey, the rivets should be about 10mm long. It is better to check how thick the material can be, you will find the information on the packaging of the rivets. 3-7mm like you can see in the video.

Legal ist das natürlich nicht. Allerdings gibt es zahlreiche Motorräder die deutlich lauter sind.

Schön gemachtes How-to Video. 👍🏼 Nur ein kleiner Hinweis dazu: die gezeigten Nieten sind nicht gasdicht. Dicht-Becherblindnieten sind die bessere Wahl beim Auspuff.
Schon erstaunlich, wie das Standgeräusch sich ändert. Wie ist es beim Fahren? Nun auch bassiger, lauter?
Wie ist das im Vergleich zum Leovince?
Freundin von mir hat ne Duke 390 (2015er) mit Kastel und Luftfiltermod; diese ist deutlich lauter 😎

Ach quatsch, das war mir nicht bewusst! Danke für den Hinweis!
Nach ca. 1000km mit dem Mod kann ich aber sagen, dass man an den Nieten nichts von Abgasen erkennen kann. Ich denke das ist in dem Fall zu vernachlässigen!
Der Mod macht die Abgasanlage nahezu im gesamten Drehzahlband lauter, rotziger und „poppiger“ - gefällt mir sehr!
So hätte ich mir die Svart ab Werk gewünscht!
Der LEO ist dumpfer und etwas leiser als der Mod. Für den Klang allein hätte es sich für mich nicht gelohnt.
Ich finde er passt optisch sehr gut an das 21er Modell, in dem Grau/Schwarz.
Klanglich finde ich den Mod besser - und preislich natürlich unschlagbar!
Die 15er Duke hat auch noch Euro4 :-/ während die Svart von 21 Euro5 hat.
Mit einem Cat delete würde die Svart noch ganz anders klingen.

Don’t think you need worry about exhaust gas venting thru the rivets. The exhaust will take the path of least resistance…out the exhaust cap. And by the way the exhaust cap is a tight fit so sealing it isn’t necessary.
Sagt da der Tüv da irgendetwas? habe vor das an meiner 125er Svartpilen zu machen. 🤨
Der DB-Killer ist halt modifiziert worden. Erlaubt ist das sicher nicht. Ob der Tüv aber die Nieten aufbohrt und nachschaut ist eine andere Sache.
Wenn du in einer Verkehrskontrolle die falschen Polizisten hast, kann es sein, dass du ne Geldstraße Zahlen musst weil illegal. Vorallem in der Probezeit wäre ich da besonders vorsichtig. : )

Where’s the oil look like it’s coming from? Feel free to shoot me over some info. I’m a Harley tech so I know a thing or two about leaks lmao. Luckily haven’t had an issue with my vitpilen
Ich versuche nun auch die Endkappe meiner Svartpilen zu lösen. Da bewegt sich aber nichts. Kein Milimeter :-( Hilft erwärmen, Rostlöser, WD40 oder was auch immer?
Hast du auch Kunststoffkeile wie ich im Video? ( der rote)
Ansonsten hilft da nur Geduld. Wd40 oder Erwärmen würde ich nicht machen. Wd40 hängt dir danach in der Dämmwolle und erwärmen bringt hier vermutlich auch nichts.
Die Endkappe ist nun ab. Leider bei 140 km/h auf einer Schnellstraße. Das hat nun fast 100 km gedauert. Jetzt hat sie leider ein paar ordentliche Kratzer abbekommen :-) Zum Glück ist kein Auto drüber, sie lag schön auf dem Seitenstreifen.
