this is a musicvideo from the 2019 movie, that was about the life and career of kari tapio. song title means i am finnish, and is perhaps the most well known finnish hit song of all time, that he sang in 1983. this movie was a big hit and this music video shows scenes from it, and also some of his personal home videos and other material are added. the actor playing kari did a great job. this ends our venture to the greatest finnish singer of our time. hope you have enjoyed. greetings from finland - Hudba

RIP Kari Tapio, a great singer.
Kari Tapio was much of a music icon in Finland and Finnish and Italian music are quite similar. He had the most country music voice anybody can have. He died in the back of a taxi car on his way home after a concert, and his wife Pia never got over it and also died a few years later. Haven't seen the movie, but sure should have to do it.

The Finnish language is challenging. The relief comes from the sound correspondence. The sound resembles the name of the letter and everything is pronounced the same way. This is why there are no matching competitions in Finland when you can already hear the letters while pronouncing them. The challenge in the language is in the grammar if you want to learn it "perfectly".

@Yakov Nevsky You are right! The song was composed by Toto Cutugno, originally for Adriano Celentano. But he refused it and so Toto Cutugno performed it himself and had a big hit with it. I've confused that a little, sorry!

That Pauli Hanhiniemi's song is also originally an Italian song and the music video for the song is a reference to Mika Kaurismäki's movie Rocco, in which Toto Cutugno's song is sang both in Italian and Finnish. Ironically Finnish actor Kari Väänänen plays an Italian in that movie: "Rosso - Olen suomalainen".
