LOVEBITES are elite musicians. In terms of pure musicianship, they are probably one of the top 3 most talented metal bands on the planet.

This is the new bassplayer Fami first concert with the band. Yes, this band is crazy good! And do you know what? There are more all female bands in Japan that is almost in this level musicianwise! LOVEBITES stands out for their intelligent way to write their songs!

I saw them last week here in Germany. Not this big stage with such a huge lightshow, but in a club with 600 in the audience. The dark hair guitarist, Miyako is her name, played her solos 3 feet in front of me. It just was amazing!
I can tell you, it was the best concert in my life!

Your face said it all. Best heavy metal band in the world nowadays (female or male). Thanks for reacting to mind-blowing Lovebites. Yes, Japanese all-female rock/metal bands are just outstanding. Lovebites are currently touring Europe and then the USA (for the very first time as a band). They toured Asia and Europe in 2018 and 2019. Some people say that rock is not dead… it just moved to Japan. Next recommendation “Judgement day” (live, same concert)

Petite musicians who wear their femininity proudly and yet turn into metal goddesses on stage. This was their 1st show after a long hiatus to find Fami their new bass player, not bad for rusty!!!! Most insanely talented band to come along in a long time. No genre as they play everything from Power, Speed, Prog, Thrash (no play Thrash better LIVE than this band), Rock, Classical piano, acoustic guitar and even ballet dance!!!!They are touring Europe now and starting a high bonfire for new fans. They are the vanguard for the all female metal bands of Japan (insanely talented and exceptional LIVE performers). 1st all female metal band to perform at Wacken Open Air in Germany. You are about to fall down the rabbit-hole of female bands that are driving Metal, Rock and even Prog and Jazz to new levels. The guitar duo (a/k/a M&M) are one of the best lead duos you will ever experience especially LIVE. Welcome to the Wolfpack (fan base) and the 60+ songs that will often surprise but never disappoint that Lovebites offers from 2017.

This song was the second song on their first album "AWAKENING FROM ABYSS," and along with the first instrumental song "The Awakening," it was often used as the opening song or encore song at their live performances, so fans are familiar with this song.
This song, which includes a bass solo part, was chosen as the opening song for the band's revival live performance after a two-year absence, partly because it was the first appearance of FAMI (bass guitar).

Congrats on finding Lovebites. Monster band. Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. Their tiny bassist even growls at key moments.
They’re scheduled to release their new album “Born Again” on June 28, and it’s a banger. The Metal Hammer review coming out compares them to Lovebites. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. They just posted a video single from the album: “Still Burning” czcams.com/video/v7UOTBAtJh0/video.html

LOVEBITES - The Hammer Of Wrath lyrics:
What's the worst way to die?
    Burning to death, or drowning?
    Everyone laughs in derision
    There's no hope at all
Why is the world rotting away
Howling in pain, they slowly die
All of the sorrow is murderous
    The insanity
    (Burn up)
    They're calling me
    (Burn up)
    It's do or die
    (Burn up)
    Get ready for hell
(Bring down justice to the wicked)
Don't look away from the mistakes
Open your eyes, and see the truth
When lightning cracks the blackened sky
Listen to the screams of distress
It's like a bad dream but it's not
No way to get out, a living nightmare
Bring down the Hammer of Wrath
Who will be the next to burn?
    God only knows the victim
    Everyone knows they are innocent
    All the hope is gone
    In despair they pass away
There was no hope to begin with
Even the angels are giving up
    Looking down on us
Will this night ever break dawn
(Bring down justice to the wicked)

Welcome to Lovebites! Best metal band in the world imho. They have quite a few other live performances, not all are on their official channel, and they are all amazing. Quite a wide variety. I think next I will recommend Set the World on Fire czcams.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/video.html Leans a little more into thrash. The chorus (Asami is the lead singer) and the solos (Miyako and Midori - Miyako is the one with black hair) will certainly amaze. Haruna on the drums just kills it. This one will be with their original bassist Miho. The other I'd recommend is most commonly reacted to first, Holy War czcams.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/video.html Also amazing. Leans more into power metal. From there, you have quite a journey of amazing performances. Trust me!

In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. If they are not your thing, then you probably simply don’t like melodic metal, because they are the best at it. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist, after their founder and original bassist left the band for personal reasons. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later.
They did their first live performances in more than two years in summer of 2023, with their new bassist Fami. Their very first show was commemorated on the DVD “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate”. They have posted four performances from that DVD:
”Hammer of Wrath” (you just watched this)
    “Judgement Day” czcams.com/video/yYEUGlFNBKc/video.html
    “Nameless Warrior” czcams.com/video/Dl29tiJCbNM/video.html and
    “Liar” czcams.com/video/YWHPfnJz2qk/video.html
    All of them are barn-burners.
    They have also posted:
    “Stand and Deliver” czcams.com/video/cNi-OEjzMdA/video.html
    “Swan Song” czcams.com/video/bK21cuI-V7c/video.html
    “MDO” czcams.com/video/4jhqEGTKoSg/video.html and
    “We the United” czcams.com/video/UnNxvgLI_Rg/video.html
    from the second concert.
    Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” czcams.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/video.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
Here are more clips you should check out:
“Set the World on Fire” czcams.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/video.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
    “Don’t Bite the Dust” czcams.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/video.html, from the same concert;
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: czcams.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/video.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
    Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: czcams.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/video.html;
Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance: “A Frozen Serenade” czcams.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/video.html (with lyrics embedded) or czcams.com/video/sEjN7dAh4ok/video.html for a 1080p version.
And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”: czcams.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/video.html
Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. She is self-taught on the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: czcams.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/video.html.
For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” czcams.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/video.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” czcams.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/video.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
    "Shadowmaker" czcams.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/video.html
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
    "When Destinies Align" czcams.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/video.html
    "Glory to the World" czcams.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/video.html
    "Winds of Transylvania" czcams.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/video.html.
Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far-I encourage you to see and decide for yourself!
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

Hello, welcome to Lovebites. This band reminds me of a lot of different classic heavy metal bands. Their songs are not just one genre, They have a lot of early 80s classic metal influence and are often compared to Iron Maiden or Judas Priest. They play a mix of Thrash, Power, Speed Metal on top of that.
I highly recommend a song called Set the world on fire. czcams.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/video.html Welcome to the Wolfpack! 🐺

    Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥
    Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
LOVEBITES are touring Europe and the US this year.
The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames)
Asami on vocals (the one and only voice):
She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
    Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

LOVEBITES is a five-member all-female, Japanese heavy metal band with deep musicianship (plus classical music/piano background). They transcend gender, genre, and geography, with some 60 songs in their discography. They won Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band (2018), toured with Dragonforce (2019), first female Japanese band to perform at Wacken Open Air (Germany) and others in Europe, and are unusual among Japanese bands in choosing to sing in English plus good lyrics (a daunting task for native Japanese speakers).
They play a variety of heavy metal styles and are heavily influenced by NWBHM, especially Iron Maiden and the "big four" thrash metal bands. Their live performances are best:

    Frozen Serenade: czcams.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/video.html
CLASSICAL PIANO EP covers/arrangements of Heavy Metal Songs:
Interestingly, one of their lead guitarist (Miyako) just released a classical piano EP that covers Metallica (Battery), Gary Moore (The Loner), Yngwie Malmsteen (Far Beyond The Sun), Helloween (Eagle Fly Free), and Deep Purple (Burn)

Thank you for reacting to Lovebites, the most talented ladies in metal. Please continue down the rabbit hole of Lovebites music and you will not find a bad song from them. Lovebites is taking heavy metal to another level. Here is my recommendation. . . (Thunder Vengeance) (Holy War) (Break the Wall) (Set the World on Fire), all live versions. Lovebites' ballad songs are also masterpieces. These ladies have no peer.

Yeah, this band is incredible. I'd recommend Thunder Vengeance, Set The World On Fire, Holy War, Shadowmaker, We The United, and Break the Wall. If you want something with piano that's still heavy but more artistic check out either A Frozen Serenade or Swan Song (or both). Live for all, but maybe Shadowmaker. That was their first video, and the MV is how most of us found this band, so the MV still has a special place in many of our hearts. But all the rest live.

Welcome to Lovebites, a Japanese Heavy Metal band formed in 2016 by two former members of the band Destrose, which broke up in 2015. This concert from March 2023 is their 'come back' after going on hiatus due to their original bass player and co founder member leaving in late 2021 and two of the members, Asami and Miyako, having babies. It was the first time on stage with the band for new bassist Fami who was recruited in late 2022.
    The band members are;
Asami, Vocals and Piano. A trained Ballet Dancer and R&B singer before Lovebites. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker.
Midori, Guitar. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. She is a body builder and has scored highly in contests in Japan.
Miyako, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious one' with long black hair. A classically trained pianist, she writes much of the music, often incorporating themes from classical works into her compositions.
Both Guitarists play lead, swapping back and forth as required. Their harmonised solos are a wonder to behold.
Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. Only 1.45 meters tall and able to sustain a furious pace for up to two hour long concerts. Co founder along with former bassist Miho.
Fami, Bass Guitar. The youngest member, being only 20 when she joined the band in 2022. She has her own YT channel with near 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' bass cover, recorded when she was about 17 and still at school.
Original Bass player Miho left the band for personal reasons in 2021.
A few recommendations for further listening, Holy War, Judgement Day, Winds of Transylvania (written for a Japanese Anime series, VLADLOVE) Scream For Me, Break Down The Wall, Swan Song with a Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako, Frozen Serenade, Edge of the World, Epilogue. There are many more I could list, they have a back catalogue of around 60 songs, and truly seem unable to write a bad one. The Wolfpack, Lovebites fans around the world will have more information and recommendations. 🐺

welcome in the Lovebites' world. I suggest you: "Break the wall" LIVE 2020 and "Set the world on fire" LIVE 2021 for the heavier side of their music. For more musicality and creativity check out "Frozen serenade" LIVE 2021 and "Judgment day" OMV 2023. Just to begin, all their songs are amazing and surprising, and their skills are insane...
    The members:
ASAMI, vocalist, lyrics maker and composer
    HARUNA, drummer
    MIDORI, guitarist (the blonde)
MIYAKO, guitarist, pianist, keyboardist and main composer, an authentic genius
FAMI, bassist from 2022, in this video (the former bassist MIHO left the band in 2021)
the last album published is "Judgment day" (february 2023): an absolute metal masterpiece. A new EP is coming soon in august...
good trip in their magic and thanks for nice reaction.
