I just love Kermit and Piggy singing a romantic duet together... and imagining the two old hippies beneath them singing to each other. lol

Considering how the muppet babies were very difficult to operate because they're so small, yet so ADORABLE, I can see one of the reasons why Jim Henson decided to make them an animated show rather than live action. But the cartoon show turned out to be very successful and even won awards! It was always one of my favorites as a kid.

Of all the muppet movies, my 2 favorite ones are this one and of course, the muppets adaption of the classic Charles Dickens book" A Christmas carol".

That is so cool that they use remote control to operate Kermit in that one scene. I've always wondered why the puppeteer isn't seen when the character's full body is seen.

I really wish Jim was still alive. They are doing a good job with the Muppets today but it just isn't the same. I don't like the way they've updated the puppets either. The best version of Piggy was the one in the 80s where she sported a perm. lol. I was only 1 when Jim died and even though I was around for a year, I was too young to remember any of his work from 1989-1990. They should've included this as a featurette on the dvd. I love behind the scenes stuff. And yeah Muppet Babies worked better as a cartoon than a live-action series. And good idea to let Frank Oz direct because Jim had a ton of work to do--Muppets Take Manhattan, working on the first season of Muppet Babies, Fraggle Rock and then taping season 15 of Sesame Street at around the same time as the filming of this movie. I'm sure that on their downtime, Jim, Frank, Jerry and Richard had to go to the studio in Queens to tape their SS segments.

Don't conciser themselves singers? They're as great as the professional singers imo! I love watching them doing their voices like this, really fun to see. I wish I could've been apart of the original Muppet team. I need a time machine, badly. That's the one thing I want most... XD
