It's kinda awesome how much of a different feel her armor gives her. She was already an imposing figure outside it with a cold demeanor, but once she puts on the hat it somehow makes the fact she is inhuman much more apparent.
Yeah, it hides all her actual features, and the hat is just SO COOL
Her armour basically gives her the look of both a wanderer and a towering mech.

She is a human, yet she doesn't feel like it. The atmosphere around her feels ancient and cold, strange, yet familiar. I guess, this is just one way, the Abyss change a person.
I guess that’s what’s up with White Whistles: they sacrificed a part of their humanity in order to gain knowledge and delve deep in the Abyss.

I really love how Made in Abyss doesn't explain their strange character with the Abyss, but they explain the Abyss with their strange characters.
Having to vomit and passing out are "understandable" curses of the Abyss. But bleeding from every pore and "loss of humanity"? Those are strange concepts.
There is no explanation for it, but we can see the effect through Ozen and Bondrewd. Two of the most terrifying and most interesting characters.
I wonder how Lyza was changed by the Abyss. After all we have seen so far, she seemed still much more human than the other white whistles.

Think about how terrified Reg must have been once the shutdown cycle kicked in. Knowing that with him temporarily offlined, Ozen would be free to do whatever she might wish to Riko...
It's just PERFECT. Ozen is a fascinating character : Her title, The "Immovable", come from the fact she doesn't often show emotion, she doesn't move really quickly and she's not loud.
But her outfit make even more sense : She become a mass of pure strenght, standing in front a you, like a mountain in front of an ant.
We all want a season 2!

I love that quiet rumble and how it signifies the hidden strength that Ozen possesses, both innate and gifted to her by the abyss.
When I first saw this scene it game me chills the music and the realization that no one in the abyss is basically a human expect Riko and i am sure she will change too was sooooooooooooooooooo damn good

I love how her armour changes her aura. As soon as the her helmet goes on, its like her entire personality changes. Love MIA do much bruh.
The whole concept of the white whistles is so good, they are people that are no longer physically or mentally humans, but still being people who feels like they are humans

Motherly kindness tones and a bit distorted . Fits her theme
Yes, the soothing tone gives a sort of nostalgic feel to it like a childhood home, but the distortions make it feel as if there’s something lurking beneath the motherly facade
I loved the way that in order for her face not to be shown when she puts on the hat, she has to literally hunch so far down it almost dislocates her bones in her spine, shoulders, and upper neck. I don't know if she's actually dislocating them or just hunching over for so long to the point where she has to crack them back into place.
Honestly, that armor set is gorgeous, and I would absolutely love to see it as a mod for a game, like Skyrim or something.
I would LOVE a spinoff story about her past. Her origin, early cave delver years, how she got her White Whistle, etc. Having been a White Whistle for 50 years (to say nothing of everything that came before that rank), she definitely has some wild stories.

Bondrewd does care, just in his own way. He cared about every single child he tortured and turned into capsules. I mean the man did have his consciousness uploaded into an ancient relic that no one fully understood at the time and was like 'eh fuck it destroy original body go brrrr'

Most complete and badass character created in an anime to my mind every aspects of this show were deeply thoughts and logical, brilliant lore world build, Thx.
Good thing is that you'll be fortunate to encounter this white whistle ,She's not a dangerous one ,She's cold but will not instantly kill you unprovoked ,She's always holding back against the kids.

She is strong, stronger than you ever think,
but she is a broken shell of a Woman, mostly she is cold, cruel, cynical and even apathetic (She just give a damn) BUT there is some warmth inside her that she showed during her time with Lyza, Rikos Mother....
What do we know she endured during her Journeys, her losses, her suffering, there must have been a Human being that gave his or her life for her white Whistle after all,
Enduring the Strain of the Abyss for so long, she had her scalp twisted -> thats why the strange hairstyle, to hide its deformation,
like every legendary White Whistle, she has her own personal Artefact for combat:

These are called ''Thousand men Pins'', legendary first grade Artefacts which grant the user the strength of thousand men with just one of them and Ozen embedded around 120 of them in her body, they even grant longevity which explains her youthful appearance while being over half a century old,
Just imagining the Power of this Woman sends shivers down my spine!
She is such a well written character, she shows what the Abyss in all its cruelness can do to a Human being, it will eventually change you,
the split between a cruel Mentor yet ''caring-Grandma'' figure for Riko and Reg is just magnificent
She is the mother that try’s to stop you from doing anything dangerous while bondrew is the father that pushes you towards the danger both right and wrong

alot of people make memes of this lady but if you think about it she seems to just be broken and all thats left is a husk from the fallout of despair
She has those lifeless glintless eyes trope too. She flicks Riko on the forehead for trying to hug her and threatened her mom when she called her scars cool when she was a kid. But when assured of the compliment's genuity, she seemed shocked speechless.
Not shitting on the game we actually got even though it looks like a ps3 game but damn imagine if a talented and well staffed studio made a made in abyss game that looked like how it did in the thumbnail, would be actually insane.
Yeah. MIA has aspects that feel right at home in a videogame, but the game is a case of "good concepts, poor execution". Even the curse of ascending looks more like 5 meters instead of 10 and can get tedious in gameplay. I never played it myself, but I think it also needs more variations in movesets. In Ozen's case, I love the pragmatic move of her just tossing the MC up to inflict the curse, the way her slow walk sounds like boulders on the ground, crushes and throws rocks like bullets, and basically being the flash when she dashes towards you. But, I think they can make more creative moves to add to those like kicks and punches. I dislike that winning against her and Bondrewd felt like you truly bested them in combat despite being a normal kid with little to no experience in fighting opponents like White Wistles. Or maybe it's just me.

You can hear the strong enemy motif (that’s what I’m calling it) you can hear it in two other notable themes such as the rumble of scientific triumph, and nightmare reg, you can also hear it in the orby fight.
I don't know why, but I feel attracted to her. It's not really about her looks, there's just something about Ozen I find... captivating. Maybe it's the voice and personality? And perhaps the strength?

honestly I hope that in the game, we will be able to fight her as reg for only a moment. When we do, we should only put a small dent in her health then have our death scripted and kick our ass!

Ngl this is the closest we can get for the game. I mean it's literally any anime related game. It will tell the story we know, and I suppose it won't take us to the end, because the Manga is not ending yet(I believe it will take few years, like 3 or 5 idk, One Piece is still going so idk)
