As someone who works at a middle school, this challenge has been ruining our restrooms and it really sucks especially when we don’t have the funds to actually fix them.
The kids think it’s funny and don’t realize the actual consequences, it’s so unfortunate that it’s become a trend to really hurt areas they use every single day.

Back in middle school we had people writing a bomb threat on the stalls every week. It got so bad we had to take turns and sign in to use the bathroom. If we had something to write with on us we had to turn them over while we went to the bathroom lol

I had a friend I found out who was the one who used to call in bomb threats, so school would be cancelled. Anytime there was a big test, a bomb threat came in, I found out later he was the reason school was cancelled. He never had a bomb, and I found out later in my 20’s it was him. It was a big thing in the 2004-2007 era. Dogs would come in. A lot of kids got busted for drugs because of it though.
Yeah it’s a common thing, that happened at my middle school too. Kids would commonly do it just to get out of school/ tests or sometimes just bc they thought it was funny

They definitely aren’t just stealing stuff! In our ELEMENTARY school kids were putting stuff in the toilets and urinals to clog up the plumbing system and it had to be fixed by experts for days. We’ve had so many issues it’s insane that’s just one example.

I was a former custodian for public schools, boys and girls bathrooms are equally disgusting. I've had to clean up every combo of human fluids from teenagers it was disgustin. I was shocked as a women and because I was homeschooled. I was raised better then that.

This trend is awful. My friend's family work at school districts (cleaning) and they've had so much additional, heavy work added onto their plates because of some stupid kids' inability to control themselves for TikTok! :( Just remember, someone is cleaning after your messes!

During my senior year they introduced us having to sign into the bathrooms and would have security guards wait outside at all times and come in if we were in there for longer than 5 minutes all because of kids vaping. So I’m not surprised at this

I worked as a hostess for a restaurant. We had this one elderly woman who would come in every week without fault and change her adult diaper in our bathroom, and then force it into the teeny tiny sanitary box in there. It was awful because every time she left we had to RUSH in to get rid of it before the other customers went in and complained about it. I get that they gotta change their sanitary products, but it took up the whole box, and of course all the customers complained (Even though it was in the Handicapped stall)

I used to steal toilet paper back in high school but only out of necessity. I had a makeshift 'key' and would grab a wheel every couple of weeks. Logistical nightmare like Mum and I would just have this giant fn tp wheel on the bathroom counter. But hey. We bought a lot of ramen with those dollars.

I’ve had to clean bathrooms at my job in high school and I just gotta say… people weren’t pissing and 💩ing on the floor in the women’s bathroom
Ironically, cleaning restrooms at Disneyland was the fastest way to knock out your shift. You got three to four restrooms you clean every hour and all they needed was a quick cleanup. It was better than sweeping up a small area in DCA for up to 8 hours.
I work in ice rinks and the women's room is always the worst. The little boxes in the stall are called "Treasure Boxes" because you never know what you're going to find, lol. The great thing about working in rinks is that their are locker rooms with bathrooms and their is always an empty locker room so I always have access to a completely silent empty locker room and bathroom for whatever I need.

For the period topic, some girls (myself included) have very heavy flows so if you're changing a tampon with a heavy flow, blood easily gets everywhere. It is quite nasty that people dont clean it up though

It got so bad my brother just opted to not use the bathrooms. They ended up having an assembly and telling the kids they would file changes for any student that continues. Long story short it stopped

My old highschool bathroom was once destroyed, whole stall was broken and the door the the building was broken off as well. One of my friend had to take a poopoo and was allowed to leave campus and go home to poo, they immediately got jumped and mugged. This story was reported to LA times and was published...
It's the same in Denmark as in Sweden in public school. We don't have stalls, we have bathrooms. Stalls are usually found in shopping malls. 😊😁
So they’re just individual bathrooms? That would kinda suck. Stalls just separate the toilets in a bathroom, making them available for multiple people to use at once. They’re not an alternative to a bathroom, they’re a feature of them.

We didn't have doors on most bathroom stalls, they'd only put like 1 roll in at a time and we hardly ever had paper towels, because if they didn't it would be used against the school.

Personally I would say public toilets in the UK are all the way to the bottom but it school bathrooms there is a tiny gap at the bottom but like you can only see the person's feet. And mine has never been stollen from/decked out as far as I know but they are disgusting and people vape in them and most people hang around in there at break. Also there is also staff outside at break and the hand dryers and paper towels are close to the door so you can easily see them when the bathroom door is open and some of them you can see the whole bathroom, which in my opinion is strange!!
There was an old guy that came into Arby's as soon as we opened when I worked there long ago and he missed the toilet then you could see he fell in it and was smearing it everywhere it was INSAINE like hand streaks of him getting up on the wall
