Have you had any problem with other algae? I am having a GHA problem. Tank is about 3 mos old and is the fluval 13.5. Have my nitrates at 3-5 and phosphate from 0-.03 mostly which might be deceiving is what a lot of people I hear say. I have a cuc of snails and hermits, but doesn't make much of a dent. I have cleaned it 2 times manually and attached a power filter every time to clean it up and used a UV sterilizer for a few days. Would like to get a good hair algae eater but the tank is so small, there is not many options.
New tanks do get Algae problem in the start. Maintain a regular water change, feed fishes bit less and reduce your photo period and your tank will be just fine in few weeks time.
Thanks for the vid. Did you run a skimmer as i have a 25g without a skimmer but been fighting what looks lile exactly the same dinos as you for past 3-4 months 😬
So you use when the Lights are out but you dont leave the lights out always right ? You maintain the normal cycle of light, but the dosage is at night, right ?
Why would you use that system on a tank with no sps? You say you need to do something with the dinos before they get out of control... do you not think that's already happened?
Thank you, I’m having an issue with a massive outbreak. This feels like a really good option. I purchased a bottle and it will be here next week. Wish me luck!
Works fine but try the UV sterlizer first, that may solve it for you without putting any chemicals into the water, make sure to use a large size branded type of UV instead of cheap chinese ones. All the best.
You lucky that all you had was ostreopsis which can be easily defeated with UV since they go into the water column at night. I on the other hand had 2 species one of then being amphidinium which do not go into the water column. Only way to defeat them is to either remove all the sand or simply increase the nutrients and not do water changes.
my method works for all dino. i defeated the sand one overnight. within 24 hours. steps: wet skim and empty skim often, add purigen, add carbon, add uv light. thank me later.
Very nice, good to have this info in the arsenal....new sub!
Did you do the tank black out at the same time? - so in total how long was the tank blacked out?
nice :D

Do u have a Amazon link to the Dino X?
Thanks for the vid. Did you run a skimmer as i have a 25g without a skimmer but been fighting what looks lile exactly the same dinos as you for past 3-4 months 😬
Try the UV sterlizer first before using dino x.
@@kamranasif2004 Unfortunately UV didnt work. Do you know if I can use dino x without skimmer?
Yes you can. Do a water change after end of treatment.
How is the tank now? Has the Dino come back? Thanks for sharing.
No, I coupled the treatment with UV sterliser installation afterwards and Dino never returned.
So you use when the Lights are out but you dont leave the lights out always right ? You maintain the normal cycle of light, but the dosage is at night, right ?
No, only 1 hour lighting period during the treatment.
Doesn't vibrant advertise like 3 days. Honestly though the second I started dosing vibrant my tank turned for the worse and I barely started too.
Did you black out the tank as well or just add the Dino x
Yes I did blackout.
Did you turn the lights off for the time period that you dose the tank
YES. I did. Only had them on for 1 hour per day during the medication period. So the corals get something for photosynthesis.

I was making the system ready to take sps, dinos get out of control very quickly if measures are not taken.

All the best.
@Gary Matthews pretty good
How'd it go?
Did it work for you? I'm having dino issues and would like additional reviews before adding things into the system.

@@alexvids9232 how did you do this? Can you go in dept please I’m in need of help
@@alexvids9232this does nothing for LCA lol
Any update did the dinos come back???
I broke down this tank. I now have a bigger Red Sea.
Will the blackout harm my sps and lps corals?
It can ...
I tried dinox 30 day treatment with ostreopsis dinoflagellates it didn't work
Why would you go the chemical route with ostreo when a simple UV would work? I would only go chemical if you didn’t have ostreo.

Please go into dept more
@@laxfrags3938 i literally explained it. Just 1 small bag of purigen, small amount of carbon and a small uv light.
How did it go long term after the 10 days?
You need to keep an eye on your tank mate. I backed the process up by installing a UV sterlizer to ensure Dino never returns. So far so good!
Did the Dinos jumped back?
No. But I do have some stringy white thing on rocks, not sure what it is?!?!
