Why do all these ivy students have this perfect essay life, like what the fuck
they write abt the most significant turning point of their lives that determine a future, so shouldn’t it sound passionate or “perfect”?
@@sarahmwangi9044 that’s my point idiot. Not everyone has that turning point in their lives. It’s either too late or they never have that point in their life. If they do have that turn it’s really gradual and not a compelling story.
@@barsaa._. just write something that you are passionate about. If u can talk about something for longer then 5 minutes, you can write an essay on it. For my Common app I wrote about how I struggled to gain confidence through school. I’m sure you got it.

Dude this shit is so fucking annoying. Imagine writing your essay and getting into a top tier school soley because you’re black and have to state that a the beginning of the essay. Affirmative action is so annoying 🙄🙄
Again I’ll repeat: Step 1 into applying to a top tier school .... be black or hispanic. Boom. You’re set.
You’re grasping at straws. They’re a minority!!! They were able to share their unique experiences because of their race which is why identity essays are so important. Colleges like those different perspectives. I’ve seen your other comments and you’re trolling. You have watched all of the college essay videos and you always bring race into the situation. You blame the system for your anger, but you never explain why you’re so angry. A majority is a majority for a reason. When reading an essay people are attracted to uniqueness. Being able to write about their experiences as minorities is one of the reasons that they got accepted.
@@aspiringking5000 You’re missing my point. I get a majority is a majority and vice versa. What I’m saying is there’s only so many “unique” stories about how “I’m black and beautiful” and “people used to make fun of me for how I looked.” Umm need flash. A LOT of people get made fun of for how they look, and no one is saying you aren’t beautiful because you’re black except them!!
@@seannym95 I get your point. Those stories can sometimes be overdone. However, most people who tell those stories actually experienced them. They are playing to their strengths when writing their essay. I would too.
Also, being picked on because of their race/ethnicity is a very big issue. There’s no news flash. That shouldn’t be normalized. It needs to be talked about. They’re not victimizing themselves. They’re telling their story and how they grew.
Believe it or not part of white supremacy is the fact that in American culture black people are mostly socialized so that we actually can’t separate race from our identities based on our experience. That’s probably outside of your window of understanding however thank you for your comment anyway, because if this is how you think then I’m sure there admissions officers who agree, I’m going to take this as advice and go a different route with my essay.
