Create a beautiful butterfly quilt block. Raw edge appliqué. Instagram: / mostlyquiltsbynora E-mail (serious business inquiries only please) noramostlyquilts@gmail.com
I love this ❤ I wondered though, as a quilt, how does it wash? Will the ends fray and make it fuzzy-ish or would they fray and then the pieces could come off? I’ve not done appliqué that has raw edges before. Again, I think this is a beautiful block.
Well I would do 1/4” iron on adhesive on all edges, that way it would help with fraying and the block would not be stiff. Pat sloan videos on CZcams shows this technique.
Nice spring block. Looking forward to your next one.
I love this butterfly block! I didn't know freezer paper had the ability to be used in that capacity. I will be giving it a try. Thanks Nora.

I love this!!! I need to search the grands old coloring books!!! How do you feel about using Trapunto for this?
It’s awesome! Do I just search online for a pattern like yours?
What book did you get your butterfly pattern from?
