Handling pressure is one of the most important areas in basketball. Yet it's an area that a lot of players struggle with. In today's video, we're going to go over how you can get better at handling pressure and traps and I'll give you a quick workout you can do to hit some of the skills you need.

The thing that irks me about this is that if your teammates aren’t trying to look for the ball and they trap you basically your teammates set you up for failure. And then the one who looks bad is you not your teammates.
When getting trapped:
1. do not hesitate - need to immediately pass the ball out or make a decision to put the ball on the floor
2. pass fake
Thank you Vision Driven Basketball!
Absolutely perfect timing. Thanks Coach.
Clicked faster than a defender rushing me
Another amazing video and you dropped it exactly when i needed it
Who else clicked so fast
My thumbs turned into Usain Bolt
Been looking for a video like this
Me

Me I panic in traps
This is video is great especially for our team who is easily crushed by pressure defense
Good insight for middle school and high school players...confidence and quick processing of traps are essential. Also helps if players are in the right positions. I see a lot of aau teams not prepared properly against full court pressure. Especially when you're facing really athletic teams that cover ground quickly
Good coaching goes a long way!

In youth basketball THE PASS TO THE INBOUND IS ALLWAYS ON
ayoo i cant stop myself when i have the ball in fastbreak situation
when is the next player workout?
Not sure yet. Probably a few weeks.
How would you get out a trap in the corner?
Pass be strong with the ball “I’m not good at it but this is what people tell me and it works
@@Sophia-ht2dd I appreciate it man
Coach whenever I play against bigger competition like 4 or 5 years older I'm 13 most of times I get blocked but when I play against players my age or like 2 or 3 years older I usually dominate them should I be worried
Seems pretty normal that older bigger players are more challenging...
OK
@@galacticcoconut5180 in your layups jump more to avoid getting blocked
Master hook shot, fade away , bank shot , post up moves, floaters, learn to shoot threes with high arcs, euro step, reverse layup, up and under layup finger roll with high arc be able to finger roll from the free throw line same with tear drop shots become shifty and fluid with handles to move your defenders and be creative. If you can master those shots and handles you will be able to score on taller defenders some of those moves and shots will become unguardable if mastered.
What was the 2nd word to remember to avoid turnovers and high pressure Defense?
Pass fakes. Two words.

russ westbrook has to be watching this lol
this is what stops me from getting better. i just hot potato when i get the ball. im a smaller player so i already have something to worry about. i really dont like turnovers. i just dont know how to get pass this mental state. hesitation is what stoppin me from being a good point.
Same literally
Try just be in trap spots 👎🏾
Not forcing Jesus is Coming soon repent now before its too Late🙏
