For context, when Trump was hosting that episode, there were some protesters outside the NBC Building who were telling entering audience members that they would pay them $5000 if they yelled “you’re a racist” to Trump on the live show. The writers heard about this and decided to incorporate it into Trump’s opening monologue to have Larry David yell it. It is unsure if Larry David was paid $5000 from the protesters for doing what they asked, but he was sure paid by SNL for his appearance on the show.

This is not the best deal you can get. You folks deserve way more respect than I am giving you with this deal. I have a much better property for you. It is an amazing property with amazing potential --- for the right people -- and I believe you are the right people. He took a bunch of brownfield property on the Hudson and offloaded it to the chinese while they were buying our monuments from the government. That property was useless for any purpise unless remediated, which is very expensive for Trump, but for the right people ... Some of those monuments were the very ones which have been torn down. Maybe your other responder busies himself with making Kool Aid because he likes to drink his own.
