Klaus you haven't exactly given Elijah a reason to trust your intentions are pure. Bad Klaus don't bite your brother.
So I believe Klaus is attracted to people who see through his posturing to who he actually is but he's scared of actually honestly being himself and not the big bad hybrid.
It probably doesn't help that people always suspect him of have ulterior motives although he doesn't give them a reason to believe he doesn't have ulterior motives. So Klaus continues in this never ending cycle.
Marcel's curse is dumb if you think about it so werewolves who are weaker then vampires in their human form not really a threat to vampires. A werewolf transformed is a threat to a vampire as yes they're faster and stronger but more importantly they have their venom, you literally made your enemy more powerful.Like their fangs just have to scratch a vampire and their dead.
So when Klaus talks about Mikael and how he treated him. That Mikael hated him from the moment he was born. But we never find out why Mikael had such hated for Klaus, he had no contempt for his other children, and he didn't know Klaus wasn't his until he became a vampire. He just seemed to hate him.
