Hope amidst hardship: Courageous stories from UNRWA's Tal Al Sultan Health Centre

The UNRWA Tal Al Sultan Health Centre, situated in Rafah city, is among the four remaining operational UNRWA health centres in southern Gaza Strip. It caters to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians directly at the centre and through medical points at nearby UNRWA shelters for displaced people. Many frontline health workers working at the health centre are displaced themselves, and grappling with personal losses yet exhibit unwavering dedication in delivering primary healthcare services to their community. Enduring significant challenges and hazardous operational conditions, these workers persist in fulfilling their humanitarian obligations, recognizing the indispensable nature of their services for the people of Gaza.
