How to WIN as King Argon in Chivalry 2 (VIP Walkthrough)

- Today we got the VIP guide for King Argon! this is the most difficult VIP in the game and even with this guide do not expect to win easily. You need a team that can push past those flag poles and I was lucky enough this game to have a good team to support me. #tipsandtricks #chivalry2 #proplayer #chivalry2pc #gameplay
One problem with trying to win as Argon is the fact that you need to rely on your team so much, even though the only reason you're playing as Argon in the first place is because your team has been losing the entire time.
Very very true. The attacking team spawns so close to the flag pole that if your team dies too fast and doesn't move forward, there is no clear path to victory. That being said, going to the left and using that area as a base while your reinforcements pile in from the bridge is the most effective method I've found and I've used every pathway on this map.
It depends. Many times I notice that the VIP objectives is when your losing team really rises the occasion. Or… the VIP dies immediately.
I normally win with argon (or on the map) when my team stays together and pushes them back gradually. Argon getting separated is death.
@Jk_hbngfvg That's why I think banners and engineers are kinda necessary, your team needs to stay alive and push them back on that second pole.
I've won 1v10s with Argon tho. His sword just swings so fast it's OP.
I still remember one of my first times playing chivalry 2, my first time playing lionspire and it had been a really good match. We’d held them pretty well at every objective and I was happy to mark it up as a good loss, but then argon came out and it seemed like the mason team was just totally broken. We pushed them back into the sea in like 5-6 minutes and it was a legendary battle the whole time, that was when chivalry 2 became one of my favourite games ever.

I'm still new! Only very recently shifted to this kind of content and I am growing steadily. I gained around 140 subs just this month
man thyic stronghold is such a cool map with all of the diffrent ways of getting the banners or whatever. but i have not been able to get argon, the duke, valen tray or thorne. for the past month or two have gotten good at getting the heritics or the monks so that something i guess. be pretty cool if there was a story mode or something.
You will get it one day my friend. I am going to start working on other types of guides to help with that.

It took me like 2 years but I became thorn not that long ago and I was like damn only another 2 more years and maybe I’ll be Argon 😂.
I feel like when I try hard I always play meh, but when I’m chillin drinking a few beers next thing you know I’m top of the leaderboards and become the VIP
@@Kjertinge This game is prime for being a little messed up. When I'm not trying is when I post the best scores. I think I'm going to post a guide on how to farm points so more of yall can learn how to get these VIPs because it really doesn't take all that much skill to get. Just need to learn how to top score
The most annoying thing about this objective is that any hit from the enemy will interrupt the progress while you raising the flag. It seems to me they really need to tweek the balance somehow on this map. Some time ago Falmire was the most challenging map for being a VIP until they acknowledged that and literally changed the last section of the map.
I think they need to move the Mason spawn back a little bit on the second flag. They spawn like 10 feet away from the flag while Agatha has to run all the way across the bridge. If the masons wipe your spawn wave argon needs to wait a long time for reinforcements.
my favourite tactics is to fake pushing through the bridge after the first flag. when the enemy team is used to just rush the bridge, you quickly step back and take the left side. This usually ends with mason being wiped once they realize what's going on and you have plenty of time to fight off some space for the second flag

I've only played argon once, it's very hard if you're carrying your team. I had to play super aggressive with those teammates to cover my flanks otherwise they would get wiped.
Luckily Argon has a ton of health and if the enemy isn't great you can potentially take out like 10 people on your own. But once that healths gone you aren't getting healed back up. Banners are the best ability here to keep the team alive and engi walls are a must to block the flag pole
@Nuggz1 yeah, it ended in a 1v all of the mason order lol, I held off for a while waiting for reinforcements but they couldn't break through
I got to be Argon today after watching your guide a few days back and I followed your advice. Unfortunately it didn't go as planned and I got pushed back into a corner and died. I noticed my teammates were mostly lower levels and not the best about protecting me haha.
It's a very tough one man. I hope it at least helped you live a bit longer and enjoy the adrenaline rush of being the king. Even I struggle very hard on this one, you need a solid team.
I got argon for the first time and I was completely bugged. I was throwing faints when I was throw a light slash or any attack for that fact. My parry wouldn’t work half the time, i just got demolished. I was so pissed off

you get to play with argon sword, the weapon with the strongest stabs in the whole game, and you’re playing 3rd person? what a waste
I play both perspectives (1st and 3rd) and with 3rd we don’t get nearly as much value from stabs as we do with 1st
Sure you played focusing on trying to survive and avoiding fights but with argon sword in hands + abusing stabs you could farm kills back and forth all the time, which can be the final push to reach the win condition
cool concept though. I will try the left staircase approach on the next time. My biggest fear is how close it is to the edges, I felt claustrophobic and thinking about that you could randomly die many times in the video
I don't really think there is a good way to avoid the edges all together. The bridge got 2 edges, the sewers got a giant pit. At least left side has a good place to set up a solid base to push from.
I get what you are saying about going first person but third helps prevent ganks. I don't want some guy getting free hits in my back because I can't see them. But I do agree that stabs are easier to hit in 1st

I try man, this one still relys heavily on your team being smart enough to push and stay alive but it's the most successful way I have found so far.
