Rendezvous with Simi Garewal Nawab Pataudi Part -1

- The Pataudis and I go back a long long way.
Mansur and I dated each other when he was the India Captain. He was always easy going and would come to my shoots -- much to the delight of the film unit!
Sharmila Tagore and I were social friends and colleagues. And then of course they met -- and you know the rest!
So this Rendezvous was a meeting of old friends -- catching up on the years between -- and enjoying the moments of our reunion.
I found Mansur hadn't changed at all! Rinku had grown into a wise, rational person. Very honest and still retaining the Sharmila Tagore charm.
I'm sure you will love this Rendezvous as much as I did...

Absolutely riveting.. What grace and nobility..
Difficult to fathom who outdid whom - Pataudi or Simi, however she should not abandon Rendezvous. It is apparent Simi puts in a lot of thought and effort.. Simply Perfect..
Despite losing his father as a boy, he did it all with such brilliance. He became an iconic cricketer and so much more.
Those who say he is not an important man. Fools, he was 1st indian captain to achieve india's 1st victory in test cricket.
nd 19 draws. His victories included India's first ever Test match win overseas against New Zealand in 1968. India went on to win that series, making it India's first ever Test series win overseas. Qouting it, there is no point calling him uneducated or anything minor mistake, masoor Ali khan pataudi was a great captain, he could see from only one eye and his intact eye made him see two, still he played so well
simon thanks why you being needlessly rude, he was the captain of side who won first test match outside india
ibrahim elahi
First outside India yes. I have read and also heard many times that it was Tiger Pataudi who taught Indians how to field very well and that fielding is also a key part in winning matches
Who says he was not important?
3:52 that movement when Simi Garewal said, “Mansoor” and the reply “hmmm” was so lovely 😍
Yes......
He was her boyfriend and they were about to get engaged but broke up. .
@@MsBurnitup yeah I too heard that...Is it true
@@sami9810 Yes!!! Simi has mentioned it in the description also. They are so dignified.
@@MsBurnitup Ohhh wow..
There was no inch animosity at all. They were too genuine to each other.. We can learn a lot from them...
I guess with age comes wisdom.
Two graceful and class women with a great gentlemen.
When two people love each other, they respect each others choices, even if it means being with someone else. In an era where people are continually washing their dirty linens in public, such poise and dignity from makes Simmi an amazing woman. I wish our generation had your grace Simmi Ma'am...
Exactly , Tiger left Simi for Sharmila but Simi still loved him and we can see it 😭❤️
Simi and Nawab would have made an amazing pair if they were together . It doesn’t matter . Even after break up friendship must exist . Simi respected Nawab even after break up and even after he moved on with Sharmila. Simi is a woman with class .
Exactly. We have a lot to learn from them in being cordial and civil after parting ways.
Late Jayalalitha CM of Tamil Nadu also wanted marry Pataudi .She said in one of Interview.
I just loved the way they're interacting with each other .... that's how grown people do .... No awkwardness , no lies , ... it all seems so genuine ... Simi ma'am I just admire you for your elegance and calmness ...
They dated once upon a time, Simi and Tiger😉
He was a man of a different class, grace and charm. That is perhaps lost forever. He speaks so honestly , humbly throughout the interview. Deep respect to you Mansur Ali Khan, Nawab of Pataudi. 🙏
I am hearing Pataudi talking for the first time and am amazed he is so sobre and cute ! Simi's eyes say it all . They're so expressive .Any person should build his or her own identity to greet the EX with such a warmth as Simi has presented herself . This interview is an example to be set . ❤️
Thank you for the ❤️
Pataudi saheb will always be remembered for his many qualities - gentleman, dashing, Indian cricket team captain who brought in revolution in all aspects of cricket particularly in fielding. He would have been happy to see India as No. 1 team for which he laid the foundation. with respects
Such poise and professionalism..Both were in a relationship and deeply in love, but see the way they conduct themselves....immaculate....rare....
The conversation was simply amazing!! A thorough gentleman!! I fall short of words to appreciate Simi Garewal. It's difficult to invite someone close to ur heart nd still appear so comfortable. Too professional!!
Ccc K
Simmi n Mansoor were romantically involved once before Sharmila came into his life..
I was in school in Bangalore when Tiger Pataudi used to play. We used to hear commentary on radio. It was so nice to see him. Thanx Simiji.
So eloquent, down to earth gentleman, a true legendary Nawab indeed!
The Simplicity in his style and a very honest frank behaviour of this gentleman is a true sign of a royal upbringings he was a man of honour and one of the bestest cricketers of the 60s and 70s R.I.P sir you will be always rememderd as a Tiger Pataudi ........
The epitome of grace and elegance. Those English words are vanishing from Indian English lexicon. My childhood hero. The true Tiger who paced the cricket world, who led the country with such nonchalance. Salute! Glad you are gone before the day of gully-cricket.
what a wonderful person he was.... Salute to you Sir...
Sad. I would have loved to see him play without losing his right eye. He could have been a very good batsman with a stellar record. As a captain he was our first winning captain in an overseas test series in 1967-68 against New Zealand. It took us 41 years to replicate the same again in New Zealand 😕
So very elegant ! May he rest in peace ....
She called him Mansoor all throughout the interview. She’s so well spoken and he’s her match.
Simi ma’am,
the way he affectionately responds ‘hmmm’ shows he cherished you sooo much …❤️❤️❤️ He married Sharmila ma’am but the chemistry between you and Pataudi Sahab is fab
He seemed so down to earth and humble
How is it possible.....!!! Great u r Mam "Simi Gerewal".I Love & Respect so much to You.
One of the finest interviews Simi has conducted......her ability to put the interviewer (no matter who it is......in this case her good friend) at total ease & help them to speak their mind ,is admirable.......& Mr.Mansoor Ali sure was a gentleman.....
Simi Ma'am pls come back with another season of rendezvous

Yeah right said 👍
Dimag kharab hai kya.. Simi ma'am retired hi theek hai.. watch coffee with karan..
She’s warm and charming and doesn’t trip the interviewee up. If they say too much she helps sidestep. Very old school. 💜💜
I certainly like the conversation between these two well spoken person and of course not boring at all.
Wow! Such a gentleman ! First few words out of his mouth are amazing !
It was amazing that Tiger Pataudi could bat at the international level despite only having one eye. I don't think there's been any other international cricketer with that handicap
Well respected cricketer and personal.
RIP Sir. Watching this in Australia.
Simi herself was in love with Pataudi and both dated for quite sometime however Sharmila came in the way however look at the class and elegance of Simi and Pataudi ❤️
Tiger Patuadi _ Thy name is Elegance !!

Gentleman cricketer and Indian Cricket Team Captain people all over the world will remember for ever.
A privileged man but very competent. We all should learn from his life. What a combination.
I can literally the younger more innocent side of Simi in this interview. I dare say she is still smitten by him and he has a soft spot for her 🤗

About Azharuddin...What a statement...Now no one remembers his bad part
So well spoken.
Such a handsome person was he.
And also a cheater. He cheated Simi for Sharmila.
@@Raza__12 oh really! For the first time time heard this thing from u 😂😂😂, matter of the fact he was loyal to Sharmila n was too adamant to marry her!
Tiger Pataudi, Captain India : he Unique, Exclusive personality. I remember well during his Captaincy, fielding placement was so perfect that many catches were caught due to placement of players. Great Pataudi. Unforgettable.
Made for each other but destiny had other plans
3:52 , thank me later 😊😊
yup…❤️❤️😉 simi ma’am surely loves him even today
Simi. Mam u r a hardworker...all details u hd collected before interview.....Mr patodi was osm
Tiger was so sweet in dressing room, he never pressurised any players regarding performance. He never become emotional in ground. So become famous cricketer who won first test out side india.

Imagined if he and Simi got married they would make a great couple
but shermila was way hotter no offense saif
@@madmaxfernando why would saif be offended? He wouldn't have been born if Sharmila didn't marry MAK
What grace and grandeur!!
An inspirational discussion of past time lovers!
Imagine if Simi and Mansoor were married, then Saif wouldn’t be in this world and Kareena would be married to Sahid kapoor 🙊 And Taimur would not be existed and Not even Sara ali khan 😜
J thay e sara mate thay !

Yes,any time, never lately as early as possible.

What a gentleman!
Nice to hear the legend of cricket.
Hardworking man!
one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket who with a poor vision hammered Australian and other greats. Think what would he be had he not lost an eye!

Old golden memories
Was great personalty
Kiings speech
Fascinating interview but I was perplexed that he hardly mentioned any other cricketer and relationship with them.
He was known to be aloof and more of an lone wolf.
