  • so yes I have done this review before but this one's WAY better,
Honesty is always the best policy and while I was Honest and truthful in the original review video, I was aggravated with the truck and I don't feel I gave it a fair review
this is a long format video regarding every detail I could think of on this truck.
the original review video, unboxing video, and battery Box fix video have been deleted., these videos contributed to over five thousand views on my channel and countless view time.
I always strive to be open and honest with yall and hopefully this proves that, and turns out to be a better video in general, and a better, fairer, more honest, more in depth video overall
    thanks for watching

I've been enjoying mine for a while. Did a couple of changes that i have been happy with. Added a strip of duct tape on the body where the tire would strike, saving the paint job. Changed the servo due to poor steering power on stand still. Battery spacer made from card board and duct tape to keep it light. Got sand and water in a tire which i had to change. Put tire in Acetone in a can with lid. Replaced foam with with crazy crawler cyc027. Tight fit on the rim and firms up the tire. Also i added a 1"strip of duct tape on the inside of tire and taped the hole. Perfect.

I bought this about one week ago. The Losi Raptor is my First hobby Grade R/C I run 3s I have haven’t flipped. It’s super good. I have only used 6 battery charges. I run at 50% power to take care of it and it’s pretty fast to me.

Like I said in the video, mine will definitely handle different than others due to shock fluid and limiting straps.
Glad you like the truck 😃👍

So the first original versions of the V2 baja rey king and rhino had a awesome dynamite motor and esc. I have been bashing my first king very hard on a 16t pinion 2+years and only replaced 1 motor bearing with a ceramic. Don't even use a fan😂 .
    I now own 4 Baja Rey🤑😱
#1 upgrade on all bashers and especially this one are suspension travel limit straps made by HR. Man I wish someone told me when i bought mine😢. Next is a machined aluminum front gearbox and rear 3rd member (diff cover). Spray down your plastics with wd40 helps keep plastics from cracking -it's true😅

Bro this review is are great. Your perspective is so much different than other RC CZcamsrs and I love it. Hit them cars with some simple green, get a nice white backdrop + a fresh haircut and these videos will pay for themselves. Keep up the good work man big thumbs up

Good of you to remove the other reviews and update your review as you gained more experience with it! I'm looking at these reviews for friends that like my SBR2.0, and that I've let them drive, but cthey ould afford the 1/10th scale more easily.
Regarding Shoe-Goo...After removing and cleaning the inside of the body with rubblng alcohol, I layer up the inside of the Lexan with quality sticky Fiberglass Drywall Tape and then press in the Shoe-Goo and spread it thinly, one full layer in the whole body and 2-4 separate additional layers of the tape and Shoe goo in corners and areas prone to breaking. Every corner of any kind has at least 2 layers. I might do it in one day, or on a large 1/6th scale body, do it in sections over several days when I have time and the weather is good. Do the Shoe-Goo work outside in good air.
For an example of the increase in durability, I have run at least a couple hundred cycles hard cycles on my SBR2.0 and the single piece original body is still good. It is very scratched in areas, where it has slid on concrete during wrecks, but it has held together nicely. It has a 3 cracks, two in the rear roof corners (same place as yours) and one where the front fender corner meets the door on one side. They are repairable, if I will work on it. That last crack was hitting a metal T-post while flying in the air at full speed. Amazingly, the only damage was a broken bumper and that crack in the body where it folded on impact. Prepping a Lexan body with these layers, when brand new before using it, probably will increase the Lexan body life by 10 times, (and I think protects the chassis a little more) especially with a heavy model. I do it to all my models now. Unless weight is a major factor, like for racing.
I also made y own limiting straps fromvery strong, but thin, old treadmill rubber. I added limmiting straps not to limit the normal range of travel, as I like all the travel, but just to prevent over-extension in a high speed wreck. I think it has helped the longevity of the rear links. So, I have limited the suspension maybe 1/8th of an inch with the limiting straps that don't stretch much once they are extended. I was able to mount them with extra holes in the lower links and in the optional upper shock mount holes that weren't being used.
Thanks Mike, for your great in depth updated review!

And the limiting strap idea is brilliant!

Did you have any pinion mesh issues?

Not personally. However I did watch a video recently where the guy said the mesh was way too tight from the factory.
