This process is clearly a fiasco, and is begging some self examination.
The quality of candidate this political order is producing is getting very low.
Credibility is in a trough, and that's when the left needs to lean into red meat, and policy results.
Democrats need to go get results first, then come back to the voters with an expectation for reward.
Trying to do the opposite - getting the voters first, then results second, has proven to be a failed model.
The general public does not expect Democrats to accomplish anything, regardless of how much hot air you shoot at them.
If you want the public to buy the line, you're going to have to prove it first.

      Thank Biden & Elect Harris
I volunteered, contributed and voted for Joe Biden as v.p. twice and president in 2020. I even served as my county Democratic chairman in 2012 because I thought it was so important to reelect President Obama and V.P. Biden. I thank President Biden for a job well done, but I believe the debate was not just a bad night. The presidency is a public speaking job. Joe has clearly lost his ability to speak effectively in public. Sure, President Biden is able to give planned remarks, but the challenge of unplanned questioning clearly overwhelms him. That means he has lost his ability to be an effective president and candidate. The purpose of the vice president is to replace the president if they are unable to fulfill their duties. I believe being unable to focus and communicate clearly is exactly such a situation. I believe the wise and patriotic thing for President Biden to do is resign and let Kamala Harris assume the office of president. This will allow her to secure the nomination and demonstrate her ability to do the job. She is the only potential candidate that the current campaign donations could be directly transferred to support. Harris will be a great president and is the perfect candidate to defeat Trump. She crushed Mike Pence in their 2020 debate. She is incredible when given a real opportunity to apply her skills. Her experience as California attorney general makes her the superior candidate to outsmart the dishonest criminal Donald Trump. Her experience as a U.S. senator and vice president makes her one of the most professionally qualified of any candidates in history. Her youth, beauty, intelligence, ethnicity, gender and strong civil rights principles represent the potential we need for a massive coalition. I also hope Biden and Harris will work together to recruit Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear to be the new vice president. I also believe the Democratic Convention should be an open competition to make this transition truly democratic. If they choose someone besides Kamala so be it. This will also help identify potential vice presidents. This will give voters, regardless of party, maximum momentum to unite and defeat Trump. Please ask all the Democratic Party leaders to urge President Biden to be a true patriotic transitional president and let Kamala take the lead. Hopefully Biden will come to a similar conclusion very soon.

VP Harris graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
She began her career in the office of the district attorney (DA) of Alameda County, before being recruited to the San Francisco DA's Office and later the City Attorney of San Francisco's office.
In 2003, she was elected DA of San Francisco. She was elected AG of California in 2010 and re-elected in 2014.
Harris served as the junior U.S. senator from California from 2017 to 2021; she defeated Loretta Sanchez in the 2016 Senate election to become the second African-American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the U.S. Senate.
As a senator, she advocated for healthcare reform, federal de-scheduling of cannabis, a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, the DREAM Act, strict gun control laws, and progressive tax reform.
She gained a national profile for her pointed questioning of Trump administration officials during Senate hearings, including Trump's second Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, who was accused of sexual assault.

I disagree with nearly everything the first speaker said. For the last 20 years, every election has been "the most important election of all time". Every candidate from the other side is an existential threat, and yet, we manage to get through it. We got through Biden, Trump, Obama, George W., etc. We're still here. Not in great shape, but still here.
Kamala is not well spoken. Even with professional speech writers, she comes across as completely inarticulate. She's really good at getting elected in California, where her woke credentials give her cred, but everywhere else they think she is an idiot. As a DA and AG, she proved to be maliciously dishonest. As a Senator, she did nothing. Seriously, the only bills she proposed were after she announced her candidacy for president, and they were all puff pieces. As VP, she was the Tsar of the border crisis, and never even bothered to visit. I heard someone else complaining that the media refuses to cover all of the good things that she is done. Except for Fox News, the media is on her side, so any refusal has to be protecting her, or the good things were so minor that they aren't newsworthy, even for puff pieces.
Isn't it time we stopped picking corrupt, evil people to lead us? Aren't we tired of getting screwed by people like the like of presidents I listed above? We can do better. We just won't do better as long as we blindly follow either of these no choice parties.
