    Fishing some matches on large natural Dams here in Australia for very hard fighting carp , and occasionally you need to fish at extreme range to get bites. What mainline would you use in this situation? And rod reel combo?

    @andrewbeckley728 Před 4 lety

    A far better helicopter setup is a "C.V. (Colne Valley) safety rig" from the 90's, both for fish safety if a break occurs and most especially bite detection as it doubles the amount of line movement to the tip. The company "Carp R us" used to sell them, not sure now though.

    What shock leader would you use fishing at distance?

    Great fishing! 👍Why does Drennan not produce feeder rods, with a length of 14 ft, for such distances? Are you planning heavy rods with this length?

      We are just about to release a 14ft Acolyte distance rod :)

      @@DrennanTackleTV That's great! I am a fisherman from Russia, where many reservoirs require the use of 14ft heavy and extra-heavy. There are bays, lakes, reservoirs, where the primary qualities are-long-range casting of flat feeders and standard bullets, up to 60gr. Here are the fishing rods, the medium-format. Can we expect from the Drennan company, the appearance of several rods at once in the growth of 14ft? What can you say about these rods, is there an opportunity to clarify the nuances? The rod blank is related series Acolyte?

    What it was second rod? 12 ft plus?

    • @deanbarlow4217
      @deanbarlow4217 Před 4 lety +1

      Hi, the second rod is an Acolyte 11ft Ultra which i use for roach and small skimmer fishing.

    • @feederclublt3414
      @feederclublt3414 Před 4 lety +1

      I have 11 plus, but always have question how different blank is for ultra, what do you think which is more universal ultras or plus? Planning to start feeder competitions, want to buy 12 ft just thinking which to buy? On plus incase I can youse feeder gum?

    • @deanbarlow4217
      @deanbarlow4217 Před 4 lety +1

      @@feederclublt3414 I generally use the Ultras for natural fishing and the Plus for commercial fishing.

      Thanks, i got one more question when they saying feeders up to 60g or 45g so this weight is all together with groundbait? Or fedeer 60g and plus groundbait?

  • @XzzVttll

    lol, you dont know what rocks and trees are in the water :) thoso conditions in the video are perfect... i fish in much much more harder places... 80-100 gram feeder on Danube on 50m distance with 010 braind with no shock leader :)

    74m in less than 60 turns ....mmmmmm

    • @DrennanTackleTV
      @DrennanTackleTV  Před 3 lety +1

      The reels are at least 1.05m per turn. Plus we edit things a bit to speed the dialogue up, so you may have missed 10 turns when we flick back to the wide shot.
