- Testing the deck mod I am developing, the deck will be done in 8k resolution and will contain detailed textures of the deck itself and the launch catapults. This mod uses a modified wet deck texture www.digitalcombatsimulator.co....
Also, this video was recorded to show the multithreading performance of the DCS mode, since the previous similar video had recording problems.

Amazing how far DCS has come since the release of the Warthog when I first had a go.
Go back further to when *DCS* was *Lock-On: Modern Air Combat.*

Whats amazing is they were able to con people out of money for 10 years before any hardware could actually run the game, lol. The 4090/13x00k is the first hardware that runs this game properly.
@@mitch_the_-itch I've played DCS for about 10 years, and never did I feel like I wasn't able to run it well. Yes it is demanding, but it sure as hell hasn't been an issue for me
I don't have the patience to really learn dcs well enough to really enjoy it, but God damn do I enjoy seeing what it is capable of, this is absolutely stunning
Sale going on rn, grab the a10c2 with your 50% discount ON TOP of the already discounted price, it's extremely intuitive to learn and I'd even be willing to give you a rundown of the basic bindings and stuff, it took me exactly 2 hours to fly, get to a target and successfully neutralize it. 2 hours. All on my own, if I can so can you.

@@radekseky4571 I tried it with keyboard, then on a controller and honestly you should get a HOTAS for it. I mean, you can play it with keyboard and mouse but its not enjoyable (at least for me). In terms of VR, yes it is awesome but expensive (you also need a very decent PC to run it in VR). There's a 10 dollar app with headtracking capabilities that works rather well and has a full tutorial on how to set it up. So maybe if you don't wanna spend a lot of money, buy a basic HOTAS, the headtracking app, and use your first purchase 50% discount on the aircraft you're most passionate about. The game has a steep learning curve, specially if you buy a full fidelity module, but it is worth it imo. Hope this helped and happy flying!

Its worth getting into! I came from MS Flight Sim and have ignored this game for so many years thinking its just old and outdated. Got into it a week ago, learned hot start, takeoff, landing, had a blast just flying around. Then i got into learning the basics of guns and missiles and now i am hooked. Now im getting into multiplayer and having a blast every day. Its just so incredible to experience and especially in VR its something else entirely.
@@Avean With my comment being said, I have played DCS, as I originally came from Falcon 4 BMS. I sadly cannot play DCS anymore as with my system does not have the adequate RAM and SSD space for it. Sure, just upgrade, and grab the VR while I am at it, if my PC can handle it. No problem, the fact that the company I worked for retrenched half its staff at the end of March and me finding it extremely hard to find replacement work in a country like South Africa, where the lights cant even stay on is a financial no biggy -.- not to mention my physical disability making it harder. Never the less, I do what I can and I will never give up. But figuring out how to keep the roof on my head is more important at this point.

@@nathanblackburn5055you can play with just a keyboard and mouse if you want to, I started with just a crappy old flight stick and used my mouse to look around at first, now I have a full HOTAS and TrackIR.
This is the best graphics demo because it not only looks amazing, you can actually fly the damn jet with a good degree of skill

@@SA80TAGE it’s an American boat, and hornets are only flown from carriers in the US, so there’s literally no other way to fly the hornet from a boat than using the NATOPs

That check trim caution on the cat was because you had default 12° trim. Need to trim 16° or 17° nose up depending on weight.

really wanna know how did you capture this vid, i use OBS to capture the mirror video, but the result is lot more rough than yours.
Just a hint, when the yellow shirt tells you to go straight that doesnt mean to go straight in regard to the catapult but in regard to your nose. meaning you are supposed to go straight until he says go left. not like you did and turned left when he told you to go straight

howd you get the rain to look like this? i have the highest possible settings but its still lacking all the rain drops on the canopy and wet reflections, or maybe i have them but it still doesnt feel the same

Just a slight delay between animations on the workers crouching and rising up would add so much at 1:55. All them synced up like that are weird. Stunning visuals tho!!
How did you get such great frames in VR max settings?
I have an i-11900k, 32 gigs of 3200mhz ram, A 16 gig optane accelerator, and a RTX 3070, and i still get choppy AF frames

What weather settings are you using here, as overcast and rain produces the white streaks of rain as well as the droplets,. Here I only see the droplets. Also, using the Nimitz wet deck mod you link to doesn't appear to make any difference to the deck.

Are you experiencing any problems with the i7 9700k? I have the same cpu and a rx 6950 xt sapphire water cooled, running everything at max settings and sometimes I’m coy bottlenecked to around 80 fps
what weather settings did you use? I wanna try some carrier ops in these conditions.

Bro he has a 4090 everything is pegged to the max, my so has a 4090 setup and it runs dcs on vr like it's desktop mode (ultra, max distance etc)
