  • In this video I pick up my type 1 commanders from Frank's boots in Spokane Washington. I talked about the break-in. And compare them to the Nick's boots I have. More videos to come on the break in process and the making of the boots. Some of the best cobblers in the United States Building custom boots in America for me and you.
You can contact Frank or Junior at Frank's boots. Or check out the website and look at what they have available. You can always ask for any other alteration or customisation you would like for your boot. Enjoy the video and enjoy your new boots if you get some

these are the songs I use in my videos (not in order)
    intro- undertale -megalovania
cold driven -the wicked side of me
    sidewise- this time
    fivefold - know-it-all
    cold Kingdom - the light
    ravenface - be silent
just a side note it's not easy getting songs to use that are copyright free. I spent hours searching for music I can use in my videos. these are the best songs I found that have lyrics and a complete songs. So I'll probably use these in a lot of my videos. When I find better songs or create some myself I'll start using those. hope you guys enjoy comment below :-)

'Morning James! I wanted to pass along to you that after viewing all the custom boot videos I could find on CZcams covering all major custom-fit cobblers, your comments about the customer service you received from Frank, Junior and the rest of the staff at Frank's Boots moved me to order from them. I've talked to Junior a couple of times and he's been very helpful, especially when he told me my boots should be shipping out this week! Thanks and keep up the good work!

I splurged on my first pair of Whites almost 30 years ago after saving my pennies during wheat harvest in the Palouse. Over the years I went to Nicks and had a pair made and they’ve been a good boot. I’m down to my last rebuild and it may be time to look at Frank’s and get a pair from them. I can’t tell you how much $$ I’ve saved by buying quality boots. Take care! Al-

I got a pair of JK boots. The Northern with some custom upgrades. The boots suck! They don't fit my feet , they where lasted twisted, they lean to the left and the stitching is crooked and off center. Even the welt of the boots and soles are uneven shaped and clucky up to a 3/4 inch of untrimmed soles. Can't say they where crafted well at all. More like hammered 🔨 🐕 💩.

The guy Tim from JK seems pretty arrogant. He even says his boots “don’t need breaking in” which is just not a true statement in any way shape or form. He also recommends slathering brand new boots with oil on both the outside and inside of the boot 🤔 which is the exact opposite advice Nicks recommends.

Frank's and Nick's both started out serving loggers and Forest Service workers and other tradesmen found the undercut heel and the high arch were very comfortable to work in.

Frank ‘s Type 1 Commander’s have been the worst boots I ever had, try most of the other companies but Franks are worst than Whites, the stitches burn on my first RX burn and all the stitching on the hills ripped off whit-in a month of wear .Nicks are way better and now I’m about to try JK and see how it goes.
