I love it and it's performed great ever since I got it. Also binge-watching your content right now. Thanks for your great channel, guys.
I've really enjoyed this series guys. I camped outside a store to get my first 360, at the end I had been through 6 red rings. Through warranties and MS offering free repairs, I think grand total I ended up buying 3. The original, then an S, and I have an E now.
The Xbox 360 is incredible. Collecting for it is awesome too since you could play a ton of the 360 library on the Xbox One and Series X if it's compatible. The system also plays some OG Xbox games very well too. It's definitely worth owning a Model S or Model E for sure... I love it
I know all those accessories are wack but having a 360 arcade stick is a must!!! The 360 is my favorite system for shmups, I'm still looking for a mushahimasama ar arcade stick thats affordable
I am right with you. I only have Lost Odyssey and Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold edition for the system. The rest are all Shmups. I grabbed Deathsmiles and then all of those region free Dingers thanks to your videos Baltimore! Bullet Soul Infinite Burst (J) Dodonpachi Resurrection Deluxe Ed (PAL) Dodonpachi Saidaioujou (J) Eschatos (J) Espgaluda II Black Label (J) Ginga Force (J) Mushi Mushi Pork & Pink Sweets (J) Mushihami-Sama Futari Ver 1.5 (J) Shooting Love 10th Anniversary (J) Some of these were really pricey. The 360 was the console I played the most during that generation I played and beat so many damn amazing games AND it is also the console that got me (and many others) into Indie games thanks to the Xbox 360 Arcade...freaking epic man
Late to the conversation, but here goes: Bought my very first Xbox console ever, an Xbox 360 S in April of this year. I have four controllers (in four different colours, naturally), and 53 games currently sits on the shelve. Loving the console so far.
Dont forget you can rip cds to the harddrive and play music during gameplay. Thats very helpful when you play big openworld games and get sick of the generic music. Plus the tony hawk games get repetitive with the limited tracks they include.
If you got the RROD.. Microsoft would send you a special box to package it up and send the 360 back to Microsoft, and they repaired it for free or sent you a new one. Just had to ask for it!
I was very late to the game on the 360, but I have grown to love it. I love the amount of games and how most of them are cheap right now. Great video guys! Side note: The Punisher game is great!
The Xbox 360 had more exclusives then the PS3... It also had more games with a Metacritic score of 90 and above over PS3. It was the best console for 3rd party titles of the 7th gen. RROD cost Microsoft over $1 billion! I was overseas during its lifespan, had to buy about 7? It's my favorite console of all time and I've been faming since 1980!
Even in 2022, I still love playing on my Xbox 360. The Xbox can only emulate Xbox Games if you have an Original HDD since the emulator is on the HDD. You can't download the Emulate manual after so if you don't have an Original Xbox 360 HDD then you can't play Original Games. The Red Ring of the Dead was big but many of them were fake. This is because many people mistakenly thought they had the Red Ring of the Dead with 4 red dots. This was when there were problems with the Video Single like a faulty cable or the output might be broken. The Red Ring of Dead had 3 red dots. This indicates that the Xbox was so overheated that it unsoldered itself to the point that it no longer works. I Loved the Original Controller many say it is too heavy but i love holding it i hate the PS 3-4 controller, it's like holding air i remember the first time i had a PS4 controller in my hand i was like am i even holding anything and it was difficult for me to get used to that I like the weight just like I like walking around in safety shoes because of the weight of it. I really enjoyed the keyboard for the controller. I enjoyed GOW 1-2 a lot and never particularly enjoyed the other games. I feel like they changed what the game actually is. I only played GOW3 once, and don't really recall much of it because I didn't particularly appreciate it. I own all the Halo games and they are one of my favorite games for the Xbox 360 with thousands of hours in those games. I have never played Halo 5 since it is available only for Xbox One, but besides that, I have played all Halo games. Halo is still my favorite game on the Xbox 360. I don't like the PC version. This is because the PC version is based on the anniversary version, and I don't enjoy it. It just doesn't feel the same to me and sometimes it's like they changed some mechanic so it doesn't feel the same. Anyway, I don't like that version and I don't like the MCC version, but I still play the Xbox 360 version today and still truly love it. I never liked Alan Wake. I don't think I ever completed it. I have played it a couple of times but it's not really my kind of game. I'm not really into car games that much.
I just bought a 360s black with 12 games for $25. I felt like a thief because the bundle also included 6 ps2 games and one of those was Cold Fearz so that one game was worth more than I payed for the bundle. To be fair ps2 games were not even mentioned in the ad, they had just put them in the bag with the Xbox 360 so I didnt know until I unpacked it and cleaned everything. I was shocked! Aaaaannnd the console had a 250gb hard drive in it, had power brick but no conttoller or hdmi cable, no biggie got plenty of both of those. Score!! Over the last year I have picked up 2 Xbox 360E consoles one with 250gb hd and a speciap edition with 500gb hd. I feel now is the time to get this console, pretty soon that generation will be wanting their old consoles and you know the rest! Another great video, good job!
I really loved the 360 in the first 2-3 years of it coming out but after my second console broke i got an ps3. I remember at one point you could only send in your console once then you just had to buy another. Great video as always Wes and Robert, the beginning of the video was extra enjoyable. 👍🎮
Found a slim and an e at a local thrift store for $24/piece. Also still have my original white 360. They’re everywhere. I’ve flipped the slim, got the e for sale. Can’t part ways with my original white block. Somehow I never had the red ring.
My favorite local pizza shop used to have hydro thunder hurricane arcade machine. Always had great time. Never bought a game so fast when I saw it available on Xbox 360. So happy when they made it Xbox one backwards compatible.
I grew up playing halo reach firefight with friends, so much fun to be had on this beast of a console! People should jump in while its still relatively easy to find and cheap.
Still enjoying the 360! Bought it off a buddy with Scott Pilgrim installed. Currently going through Diablo 3 .... also went out and got myself the HDDVD for some movie action.
I have an original Xbox and a Xbox one right now, I have been contemplating getting a 360 mainly for PGR 3&4. The PGR games are my favorite racing games of all time. Been having a ton of fun going back through the first two recently.
The Xbox 360 online store is awesome, Virtua on, Exit 2, Alien Homand, Guardian Heroes HD, and Radiant Silvergun, the last two games just mentioned are expensive on the Sega Saturn, the Dynasty Warriors Gundam series, Halo Wars, Ridge Racer 6, Capcom Digital Colllection, and Race Pro are my top favorites. Great system avoid the red ring, Great video!
Great vid, IMHO the best budget console, classic titles for pocket change. PSA xbla is still live, there are free games on it, e.g., life is strange, walking dead (possibly terraria). Also some great indy/retro titles available for paid download, e.g., symphony of the night. Also still has some great affordable SHMUPS and JRPGs.
I always loved a lot of the 360’s exclusives man. Besides gears and halo of course The fable trilogy, crackdown 1 and 2, left 4 dead 1 and 2, were so awesome! Was also a big rts fan and it had command and conquer/lord of the rings bfme ports on it which were sick.
Y'all kind of missed one point of getting a 360. For the kids. I'm 35 and have a 7,5, and 3 year old and they love playing on the console. Having older consoles is definitely great for kids and families. And definitely affordable. I got a console with one controller with about 15 games for 40 bucks
I have a lot of fond memories of this era of Xbox. Been running my own game stores with my friends for 20 years now. Back then the Xbox 360 was the first time we saw any perk of running our own game stores. We were growing and Microsoft was there to help. They gave us kiosk for every store and each of us was given a free Xbox 360 console. During that entire generation we could get most anything we wanted to promote the Xbox and our stores, including multiple life-sized Master Chief statues. We still have 1 left we keep in our first location. Things have changed a lot since those old days though and I'll leave it at that.
If you guys haven't played it seek out a cheap copy of driver San Francisco for PS3 or 360. It's singleplayer only but trust me the game is so damn good and unique as far as driving/racing games go
I had to forgot about the Gears Of War trailer. That was a prime time commercial. My favorite trailer is probably Oddworld: Soulstorm. I haven't played the game; but it's hilarious. There are a lot of takeaways one can take from it too.
Gears of War is what cemented me into Xbox, such a jaw dropping experience. RROD lasted until the reduced Jasper Chipsets seen in models from November, 2008 and onward.
I bought a 360 in my 20s because I found one for super cheap and I wanted to play Halo, Gears of War, etc and I just started diving into the library and realized how many friggin sweet games came out for the thing. I think I have almost 90 games now. The newest console I have besides the 360 and Wii is the Switch so I still use it a lot.
These things are a no brainer. I went from not owning a Microsoft system in my 30 years of life to having five (3 slims and 2 Es) and given that I got three of them in perfect working condition for ten dollars a piece recently, from a financial standpoint you can’t go wrong if you find one in the wild. It’s one shortcoming in my case is being so heavy on the FPS since it’s not my favorite genre but at least it got me access to Jet Set Radio Future.
I found out last night that The Orange Box is on the backwards list but you can ONLY buy it digitally ON the 360 store but unlocks on my Series X. Strange but it’s awesome to have a digital Orange Box!
I have one 360 that does red ring but just unplug it and it’s fine. Recently I found the old 360 with old 2005 dashboard and it works fine. Perfect Dark Zero is my favourite exclusive 360 game and still have it
I remember playing countless hours on Halo 3 with a buddy of mine after work every night. I did have to send my 1st console in for repairs. Microsoft couldn’t fix it so they sent me a new one for free. Outrun 2 and Nascar Unleashed were fantastic racers. Also got the NBA Jam and NFL Blitz arcade versions. I sold my xbox right before I got married. I might want to buy 1 again and see if I can get the Halo edition. Did i hear correctly that the 360 store will close around July 2024?
Heck ya!!! And yes the store is closing in 2024. 360 is still such a great console and has a lot of great games for low cost. Thanks for watching! Cheers!
I bought the 360 w/Kinect as a gift for my wife. The main reason why she wanted me to buy her the 360 was because of dance central and the other dancing games.
I never owned an Xbox 360 and this past month I purchased one from FB and also got 40 games with it. Now I'm addicted to finding more games for it. Best thing ever. I get most games for less than $3 each.
I know I'm late to the comments here, but I have to brag a little about the deal I got on my 360 S. Found it on Mercari. $56 shipped. 360 S with all cables, 2 OEM controllers, Kinect, COD MW3, Gears of War 3, Dishonored. I bought it because I had the itch to play some of the digital games I had purchased years ago. 1 of them you mentioned. Hydro Thunder. The other was Outrun Online Arcade. Another great game, but removed quickly after licensing with Ferrari expired. I would have no use for the Kinect if I didn't have a kid. If you have kids it's great. One thing it's outstanding for is those dancing games. It seems like if Just Dance made a peripheral to play there game with, the Kinect would be it. Also pretty cool to play Fruit Ninja with and also those Kinect Adventures games could be a lot of fun for a family. Kinect sports too. Not very immersive, of course, but for a family game night it's tough to beat.
Just picked up 2 360s an S and an E, for 30 each with 2 controllers gonna give them with a few games as bday presents for my gf family, it's nice to open people's minds to older cheaper consoles to own and play
Holy shit me and my buddy growing up did the exact same thing! We would mute the TV and play mad world from a Zune through a stereo! It was bad ass! Funny how I'm not the only one! I think at one point I connected my iPod to the Xbox 360 and was able to play it through to the TV speakers. Wow man such a cool memory that was buried deep in my mind! Thanks for the nostalgia trip! Guess what I'm doing when I get off work..... Lmao cheers brothers 🍻
Really enjoyed you covering all the different consoles in a is it worth buying format. I was later to the game with the 360 as I’m a PlayStation fan boy but after collecting a few consoles I must say the 360 is one of my favourites. From a collections point, there are so may different consoles and accessories and from a gamer there are just so many amazing games. Keep up the good work, from one of your new subscribers.
Damn, makes me feel old that you are doing the 360 now. That's the console I grew up on, still have the original. GTA V was the first game that I completed the story (probably only played like 3 before that). Far Cry: Blood Dragon was the first game that I 100%, both games were on the 360. Just looked up the Gears trailer, they could not have picked a better song for the commercial. It reminds me of the PS one, perfect day or something like that. Little unpopular opinion, I like the Xbox One controller so much more then the 360. I like the 360, but the one is a lot better. I have not gotten to hold the SX one. Apparently it is a lot like the One though, formfactor wise. On a side note, I am not too sure who is disliking your videos. They are great, a lot better then you would expect from 8.9k subs.
Dude, Blood Dragon is the only Far Cry variant I've played to completion :). The aesthetic of that game is on point. Totally agree on the controller. Love them both but the One is a notch better. Also, thanks for your positive feedback. For some reason we have about 4-5 trolls that love to hang around lol. Is what it is. Thanks for watching man. Much appreciated. Cheers!
I loved the messenger keyboard. It made the 360 controller the perfect weight and made it so easy to type. I really loved it and wish the PS5 had a good one that ran off the controller battery.
The Xbox 360 is a great console. I had an original but gave it away to my brother. I then bought the RE5 bundle, but it went mostly neglected due to my love for the PS3. I had to replace my RE5 console last year due to a problem with the disc drive. I got the GOW Xbox on eBay. It was a bit pricey, but I really like it. I have bought some games on the cheap at Gamestop. The console is great, and as you said, you can buy bundles on the cheap. I have enjoyed the series on the older consoles that you have done. Good job, guys.
Watching this video in 2023 and I can say even with a lot of the price inflations for game collecting, 360 is still very affordable to collect for and easy to find
I have an Xbox 360 Arcade. Its almost 12 years old and never had a red ring of death:P It has a white and not silver disc tray though so maybe it's a revisioned model which are not so faulty. I loved and still love the Xbox 360. I am a PS2 fanboy. But for the 7th gen I'm an Xbox guy. 360 had fewer and fewer exclusives during its lifetime and they was not as hyped as PS3. Many of the early exclusives also came for PC and/or PS3 later, like Mass Effect. But for cross platform games like Bioshock, COD, Assassins Creed 2, Dishonored, Red dead redemtion, GTA, Mafia 2, Tomb Raider etc Xbox 360 was the way to go. And apart from Halo It had some very enjoyable if not the greatest but still very good exclusives like Fable 2 and one of my personal favourites Alan Wake. And the controller is the absolutley best:D
Great video fellas, I think the 360 hands down is my favorite console of all time. I just bought an unopened 360 arcade and did an unboxing on my channel!
Oblivion was pretty great on 360. My favorite Xbox 360 game by far is Ultra Street Fighter 4. I know it's multiplat and I actually play it on PC now but the 360 controller is still my preferred input device for that one. Edit: oh yeah great video guys!
My brother and I would play ultimate ninja storm 2 on360 and it would randomly red ring (I think it was only 2 LEDs tho). I was so annoyed, that Christmas I got a PS3. My brother got the 360 elite (the first one that was the shape of the OG), because my mom would not allow us to have 2 of the same consoles in the house (she believed in sharing). His elite nvr had any issues and I actually got kind of jealous (was an Xbox fanboy until I got the PS3). But now I’m an adult and own both and couldn’t be happier. Last thing, it felt like almost every house we went to, there was a 360 in there. At least for the US.
Xbox 360 is a helluva great console, just bought mine late last year Don't love the controller though, much prefer the Xbox One pad My favorite games are Forza Motorsport 4, 007 Blood Stone, After Burner Climax, and (don't laugh) Kinect Sports and Fruit Ninja
I still have a stock early slim and my kids have the same model. I did have older non hdmi 360 MS refurbished I picked up from game crazy on the cheap but it only lasted a couple years before it red ringed and for shits and giggles I opened it up and saw the bolt fix was done. Just over a year ago I bought a 4tb RGH trinity model loaded up with all my favorite games from a youtuber named Masnart. So worth it. It has also let me backup and play stuff like the recently leaked Bean Goldeneye 64, Scott Pilgrim, and Outrun 2.
Great video guys! I love playing 360. The Ttansformers War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are great! The controllers are still great and you can still download games from their store and get Gamea with Gold monthly ones.
I had to phone microsoft, for the red ring of death. They shipped a box to put it in prepaid postage. sent it out and they sent back a repaired or refurbished one for free. Havent had a problem for over 10 years since then. Except the disk drive sticks sometimes.

Bullet Soul Infinite Burst (J)
Dodonpachi Resurrection Deluxe Ed (PAL)
Dodonpachi Saidaioujou (J)
Eschatos (J)
Espgaluda II Black Label (J)
Ginga Force (J)
Mushi Mushi Pork & Pink Sweets (J)
Mushihami-Sama Futari Ver 1.5 (J)
Shooting Love 10th Anniversary (J)
Some of these were really pricey. Grab them before they are out of reach!
The 360 was the console I played the most during that generation I played and beat so many damn amazing games AND it is also the console that got me (and many others) into Indie games thanks to the Xbox 360 Arcade...freaking epic man
Late to the conversation, but here goes:
Bought my very first Xbox console ever, an Xbox 360 S in April of this year. I have four controllers (in four different colours, naturally), and 53 games currently sits on the shelve. Loving the console so far.
Nice! Tons of great games to explore. Enjoy!
Man I love this channel you guys are great. I'm currently collecting for the Xbox 360 and it's been great found some great titles.
360 is one of our most played consoles so we are with you on that! So many bangers! We love how Xbox controllers are constructed! Cheers!
Crackdown was the first game I played on the 360 and it is still one of my favorites.
I really loved the 360 in the first 2-3 years of it coming out but after my second console broke i got an ps3. I remember at one point you could only send in your console once then you just had to buy another. Great video as always Wes and Robert, the beginning of the video was extra enjoyable. 👍🎮
Just found your channel and love the content, great videos!
Thanks a ton! Glad you found us and are enjoying the vids. Cheers!
The condemned series brought me into the 360 world years ago and i still continue to collect for it
Condemned 1&2 are underrated. Wish they would bring the series back. It deserves it.
Thanks for vid guys. It’s great to go back and talk about the memories. Peak Xbox for sure
The 360 game system really took me away from PlayStation. Some really solid titles. Love collecting for it still. Awesome video.
Thanks a ton man! Still cheap to collect for too, for the most part. Which makes it even more fun. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
Purging your xbox 360 collection video be awesome 🤟!!
Found a slim and an e at a local thrift store for $24/piece. Also still have my original white 360. They’re everywhere. I’ve flipped the slim, got the e for sale. Can’t part ways with my original white block. Somehow I never had the red ring.
Damn dude! You are among the few and the proud. Awesome that it has held together for you. Thanks a ton for watching. Cheers!
You forgot to mention the Microsoft Store with XBOX live Arcade (XBLA) so many great games to download.
360 is my favorite console of that generation.
We actually havent checked that out! We will now! Cheers!
My favorite local pizza shop used to have hydro thunder hurricane arcade machine. Always had great time. Never bought a game so fast when I saw it available on Xbox 360. So happy when they made it Xbox one backwards compatible.
Hurricane is SO underrated. So many folks missed that one. Going for all the tokens is so damn fun. Cheers!
I grew up playing halo reach firefight with friends, so much fun to be had on this beast of a console! People should jump in while its still relatively easy to find and cheap.
We totally agree. It's so damn affordable right now and you can find games on the cheap everywhere. Thanks a ton for watching. Cheers!
Hell yeah firefight. Lost about 6 days of my life to that game. Firefight alone.
Still enjoying the 360! Bought it off a buddy with Scott Pilgrim installed. Currently going through Diablo 3 .... also went out and got myself the HDDVD for some movie action.
Hell ya! We see HDDVD's on the cheap a lot. Awesome that Scott Pilgrim was on there too :)! Thanks for watching. Cheers!
The Mad World song will always remind me of Donnie Darko lol. Great video gentlemen! ❤️❤️❤️
Trivia: It is a cover. The original version was written and performed by Tears for Fears.
@@dashoot99 trivia donnie darko is a highly overrated film that made me feel like an intellectual when i saw it at 12 lol
Oh yes! F'n love that movie :)
Great video guys!
Thanks man! We love the 360! Cheers!
Hard to argue that. The price for getting into this console right now is awesome. Makes it super fun to collect for. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
When of the best gaming channels! Great job on these videos Wes and Rob! Cheers guys!
The 360 is a great value, and not all 360 games work on xbox one. I need my 360 for Max Payne 3 and Tenchu Z.
Kinect actually impressed me. It's better than I thought it was. Kinect sports is amazing honestly for what it is.
We have limited experience with the connect but we have grown okay with motion controls! Cheers!
Not sure I remember it! Will have to find it! Cheers!
Just picked up a glossy white slim with a 250GB drive and 46 games for 120! Gonna have some gun
Love it! Another solid buying guide w/ great info! & a Godfrey spotting! Keep it up guys!
I don't even know where to go about getting fancy schmancy beer like that...🤷🏻💯✔️
They sell them at our local grocery store! Cheers!
The R2D2 is the favorite console I own - can’t think of a better special edition console.
That does look 🔥! Be cool to stumble upon thay someday! Cheers!
Gears of War is what cemented me into Xbox, such a jaw dropping experience. RROD lasted until the reduced Jasper Chipsets seen in models from November, 2008 and onward.
Yeah one of the very few flaws of the 360! Once that was fixed it was a powerhouse! Cheers!
360 is an absolute hammer! We been collecting hard for it the last few years for relatively cheap! We love it! Cheers!
Nice! Amazing compilation. Enjoy. Cheers!
Cheers!
With this quality of content u guys should have million subcribers!
Thanks a ton dude! It’s a grind as a small gaming channel these days. We’re just putting in the work and hoping everything shakes out. Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid keep it up bro, im no seer but i can already see your channel will be big in the future. Cheers🍻
I just ordered myself one of these a few days ago. we'll get it this coming up friday.
Nice! Enjoy! 🍻
I bought the 360 w/Kinect as a gift for my wife. The main reason why she wanted me to buy her the 360 was because of dance central and the other dancing games.
Thats awesome! We havent used the Kinect much on our side but would be willing to dive more into it! Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid cool
I remember that gears of War trailer..it was great..Great video guys..keep on keeping on 🤘
Epic trailer :). It sold me on the game for sure. Cheers!
I always toke up instead of a beer, is that fine with you guys?😉😉
😎✌️❤️
Good by us. To each their own :). Cheers!
Grab a bud if you care to
@@GamingOffTheGrid hahaha keep it up guys, cheers ;-)
It's my biggest collection at nearly 200 games
Thats a nice size collection! Such an amazing console! Cheers!
The Xbox 360's blades dashboard and the NXE dashboard
#1 nostalgia
That sounds cool! We will have to check them out! Cheers!
I own the R2-D2 360 and love it.
K, so I am going to say it... I love the OG Xbox controller, the duke.
Cheers!
I still got my original and my 360 still play it to this day
I loved the messenger keyboard. It made the 360 controller the perfect weight and made it so easy to type. I really loved it and wish the PS5 had a good one that ran off the controller battery.
I got massive hands, that keyboard stopped my hands from cramping up :)
Love the beer review. Game on bros!
Awesome vid guys! I just got a ps3 fat with the light gun rifle, and house of the dead overkill from last week's vid. Now I have to go get a 360!
Watching this video in 2023 and I can say even with a lot of the price inflations for game collecting, 360 is still very affordable to collect for and easy to find
Yeah we are still heavily collecting the 360! Hope it stays this way! So many great games! Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid If y’all still haven’t played the Forza series, definitely need to!
We have! We need to dive deeper! Cheers!
12:30 The messenger block was clutch for Minecraft typing and was both backlit and powered by the controller unlike the PS3
Xbox 360 is a helluva great console, just bought mine late last year
Don't love the controller though, much prefer the Xbox One pad
My favorite games are Forza Motorsport 4, 007 Blood Stone, After Burner Climax, and (don't laugh) Kinect Sports and Fruit Ninja
It is indeed. We prefer the newer controllers too but at the time it was the cream of the crop. Cheers!
I bought an Xbox 360, PS2 and Nintendo Wii U in 2020 during the lockdowns. Now I can wait about 4 years before getting the PS5 😆
The Xbox 360 is the last great physical media console with one of the best game libraries of all time.
I remember wrapping a towel around the 360 and let it run for 1hour and it would work again .aghhh the good ole days
I had to ship mine in 😂 the towel trick never worked for me
@@djhunt9828 LOL it eventually would break again but than I just kept doing the towel trick Lololol
An other great vid guys great advice and well put together thank you :-)
Thanks a ton man! Glad you enjoyed. Cheers!
I have a full PAL xbox 360 and kinect set. Love the 360. I love that macho man buddy.
We love the 360 also! Ohhh Yeah Dig it! Cheers!
