DIY Coffee Table With Storage

STORAGE COFFEE TABLE BUILD!

Our playroom was overflowing with board games - we had nowhere to store them. So I decided to change that and build a coffee table with storage for our media room!
I started by painting and epoxying a 3’ round edge glued panel to look like marble. This would be the top.
Then I grabbed 2 2’ rounds and sandwiched some 2x4 scraps inside for a base. I pole wrapped around the edges and added a 3’ round on top.
Then I added 1” dowels all around so I could put yet another 3’ round on top. This time, I cut out a giant circle before securing it to the dowels and pole wrapping it all the way around.
I spray painted it Shiplap by magnolia then added some brackets and a 1” dowel to the base and top to allow the top to swivel to open.
Then I got rid of my game boxes for mesh bags so we could store even more in here and DONE!
We have a functional, beautiful coffee table!
