After setting up when- I’m trying to program my code, it flashes 5 red after every code i try to put in.
Did you enter the original admin code? Sounds like you might need to enter that first before you add your own codes. Should be on the guide, maybe on a sticker?
After adding my user code and testing the code and lock, it works opposite.
Inputting the code locks it and pushing the Kwikset logo unlocks it. Any ideas what to do?
Hmm... I wonder if that's an issue with it being "left" or "right" handed in the door (see the installation manual). I'd reach out to Kwikset for assistance. Good luck!
How you get the key out while in open mode
The manual for the unit doesn't indicate that you can do that and I haven't tested it out. Why are you using the key with a smart deadbolt anyway, however?
How can i active autolock?
It should be detailed in the documentation.
Can you disable auto lock?
Yes. It's a setting you can change.
My code works great~WITH the key in the lock! Without the key it acts like it’s jammed & the bolt won’t lock or unlock…unless the key is IN the lock of course then it bolts & unbolts perfectly with the code. 🤷🏼♀️🤦♀️
Definitely something wrong with the lock or the install. That's an odd one. I'd reach out to Kwikset support for help!
Hi, my son took the back off & reinstalled it with the key out of the lock. Put it back together & it worked perfectly! Lol. Crazy~ but at least we figured it out! Thx for your reply! 😉

What's hanging you up with the install? If it's that hard, it might be that your door is too thick and/or the cutout hole isn't exactly the right size?
Got it to work thanks to your video the instructions didnt say to click 1 to program the lock it said to click 3.
